  1. When installing the Open World Beta, my BitDefender AV reported "The file C:\DCS World OpenBeta\_downloads\CoreMods\aircraft\Mirage-F1\bin\MirageF1Core.dll is infected with Gen:Variant.Tedy.380857 and was moved to quarantine. It is recommended that you run a System Scan to make sure your system is clean." Is there a problem with the file?
  2. I'd like to know if anyone found a fix for this...I now have the same issue and I can't see any conflicts anywhere
  3. The clock is wrong in the campaign. My briefing mentions leaving the chocks at 15:46 and take off at 15:49 but my clock is saying 23:40. This makes it very difficult in game for timings. Any ideas why my clock would be saying something totally different to the time of day (and mission settings)?
  4. On a non 4K monitor - that makes sense! Thank you
  5. Here you go - and some news. I turned off SSAA - over 100 FPS!! WTF is SSAA and why such a hit? This makes me wonder - first off, were MSAA and SSAA fighting each other? Second, is there any need for both? From what I gather, SSAA is better than MSAA which is better than FXAA...surely setting one should disable the other - yoiu know - for idiots like me?
  6. Thanks Eaglewings - where will I find that? I don't have an nVidia card. I have a Radeon
  7. I've got a proper weird situation here. AMD Ryzen 7 3700x 32GB DDR4 Radeon RX 5700 XT Nitro+ with 8GB GDDR6 RAM 2TB 970 EVO Plus V-Nand M2 Drive When I run DCS - same mission everytime - I get 23-25fps. When I run the same mission with a load of settings turned down, I get 23-25FPS. That's being reported by both DCS and D3DGear. Anyone got any ideas why that might happen. I'm dropping things like textures from High to low, heat blur from high to low - all the standard things. Run everything almost maxed out - 25FPS. Run most things turned down or off - 25FPS. The game looks fantastic and if I wasn't being told different, I'd say it was running much higher FPS - there's just no drop and it's silky smooth and looks amazing with everything turned up. To say I'm confused is a bit of an understatement. Thanks for any help
  8. Hi Skatezilla First off - thank you for creating this. It's a great idea. Second, is there an updated video on how to use it because the video on page 1 is a significantly different version to the one out now. What I'm wanting to do is have one install of DCS with two options - the first to load with 2D and very high graphics and the second one to load with slightly lower graphics and in VR. Anyway - no matter - I'll watch your video as the info might still be in that one even though the interface has changed. Thanks again
  9. I guess - is it possible to have two installs on the same drive? Would they have different settings files? I'd put up with the additional 160GB in order to have a VR version and a 2D version. Thanks
  10. Is there anyway for me to determine whether I'm loading DCS in VR or normal? I can run DCS with all the graphics way up high in normal mode but I want to tone down some stuff in VR. So can I have two "graphics settings" config files and perhaps loaded with a shortcut - with each shortcut determining whether to load VR or normal. Something like VR Shortcut "C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS_updater.exe" -VR -VRGraphics.ini Normal shortcut "C:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS_updater.exe" -2DGraphics.ini I know - why would I go back to 2D when VR is working? Well my VR setup isn't easy to get together and sometimes I just want to fire up DCS - but I don't really want to reset all the settings. Also - currently I'm going through setting up the controls on DCS so I keep keyboard usage to a minimum...and I like to do this without VR because f having to lift the headset all the time. If anyone has any HOTAS setup where keyboard usage is to a minimum (for example radio requires keyboard), then I'd appreciate some pointers. Thank you
  11. Thank you very much for this - very helpful  Good news on the activations being gone too. Cheers all
  12. Thanks Sirrah. And thanks for mentioning the config file - I hadn't thought about that. My main concern was loss of activations. Are activations still a thing? Recently, I'm sure I saw one of the campaigns had 3 activations or something.
  13. Hi all Apologies if this is in the wrong forum or - worse - been answered. I'm due to get a new rig next month - wholesale changes - and I was wondering what kind of headache I'm going to have reinstalling everything? I've got pretty much every module, some campaigns, all the maps, the WWII stuff.... Again, forgive me if this has been asked - but is there a handy guide out there to help with what I'm sure is going to be a fairly stressful process? Obviously I'm concerned about keys/activations from 3rd Party Modules as well as DCS modules. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
  14. I played DCS earlier on in VR fine. I have since stopped the VR service and tried to load DCS but it gets to the DCS World screen (black screen with DCS World, the version number (2.5.5) and the Eagle Dynamics and The Fighter Collection icons. I can hear the DCS music, but it never actually gets to the DCS World interface. One other very odd thing - Steam VR pops a message saying the headset isn't connected...but I don't run DCS under Steam so I have no idea why it would fire up! Anyway - any ideas why I can't get to the game interface? Thank you
