I have been lucky enough to have zero problems from the day I got my TMHW (first batch shipped to US). I have been incredibly impressed with the build quality, although I made the jump from a 6-yr old Saitek Cyborg, so anything metal would have been a huge leap forward. Flying DCS A10C with the warthog is intuitive, and although I haven't tried it on any other sim yet, I am sure it would bring some advantage over other HOTAS systems with the plethora of switches and buttons it offers. I believe I got mine for around $400 as a pre-order, and while that was significantly more than I had ever spent on a single piece of computer equipment, I am completely satisfied with the purchase. I would definately spend the going rate again if I had to.

If I may suggest an alternative setup. I use the paddle switch which has no default assignment as my TrackIR recenter. I use VAC (www.dwvac.com) for many voice controls including "Zoom In" and "Zoom Out". I have set my mic switch up as a push-to-talk button, allowing me to keep all default hotas hog assignments while still being able to control trackIR and other radio commands without using the keyboard.

I actually created a skin of my buddy's A10 he deployed with to A-Stan including the serial number. He flies for the 75th FS out of Moody. Anyways, it seems only the last two digits you put under "bort" is implemented in the skin so for yours you would need to change the large tail number from "3" to "1" and then in bort use "46".

This happens all the time to me when I have to look up. I think a profile modification might be in order.

I have started using VAC which allows me to use voice commands for key presses. I have "Labels ON" and "Labels OFF" implemented which helps A LOT, along with all of my radio commands and zoom commands. Best $25 I have spent on this sim!

What exactly does Vsync do?

I have a request. If you have any experience with it, would you please describe how to develop and implement a rotary switch into DCS A10? I have been thinking about what controls I use the most and it mainly comes down to the radios and MFDs. I would really like to consider building a radio panel but I have no idea where to begin with the channel selector knobs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I agree with this. Perhaps some MLRS launches in the middle of the flight while looking at a populated airport with the TGP would be a good FPS killer.

I have noticed this as well although I am running the patch and not a fresh install. I have also tried to do an instant mission and it has crashed on me at the loading screen. Haven't really had a chance to try anything else at for the moment but maybe a fresh install of the full beta 4 might help? Don't know what you are running.

Can you explain this? Do you use some sort of board with included software or some other hardware? I am interested in pursuing this sort of stuff but don't really know where to start on the interfacing aspect. Any help would be appreciated, especially if you have some good references. Thanks

Agree with this. Also, the right knob takes a lot of turning to move one increment, unlike the left knob. At first, I didn't think mine worked because I would twist it and nothing would change. Turns out, I just needed to roll it even more. Hope you figure it out

I am thinking about upgrading to DX11 for DCS A10 and wanted your thoughts on whether to get a single HD 5850 or crossfire two HD 5750s. I really only play flight sims and my monitor maxes out at 1600 x 900. My current setup: AMD 965 BE @ 3.8 GHz Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 4GB OCZ BE 1600 @ 8-8-8-24 HIS 512 MB HD 4850 Kingwin 610W PSU WD Black 750GB HDD I found a few articles online which compare the two setups, one being: http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-5750-review-crossfirex/1 however, I don't play any of those games so I am not really sure what the scaling effect will be for DCS. For the most part it seems the crossfire performs at least as well as the 5850 and sometimes significantly better. In this article, http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1176/1/, it shows the 5750xfire performing better than the 5870! Does anybody have any exprience with crossfire scaling on Black Shark? In-game Personnel I was curious if there are any plans to incorporate dismounted infantry within DCS A10 or BS. Attacking or defending infatry is a large part of the current CAS role, especially in current wars where the enemy does not possess significant vehicles.
