I'm interested in learning and perfecting my published procedure execution. For example, conducting published: 'Missed Approach' 'STAR' 'Holds' Published Departure Procedures Etc. I know just enough IFR, that in the real world, I would quickly be the subject of someone's Aviation Mishap YouTube channel. I am a complete novice on using such things. I understand the concept, and I'm very familiar with ATC terminology, but actually studying, retaining, and executing it, would be a new endeavor for me. Is there a person/entity/campaign where one can be taught, coached and critiqued? If not, would you mind sharing how you/your squadron learn/practice these things? A campaign/YT series on this subject would be well received I believe. Thank you kindly for sharing your thoughts..

I really look forward to using this. I fly exclusively SP/VR. This interests me enough that it will be my first venture into a public server.

@Devil 505 Thanks for the reply. If you could share your method of binding MSFS to the Warthog, that would be fantastic, and I'll immediately subscribe to your content. Like you, I'm strictly VR, I tried to bind 'Brand X' the same as my DCS, for ease of use, but the switch I bind for raising/lowering gear, does as you say... it rapidly flips back and forth, and before I realize it, I've blasted past 300kts, and the gear is still flapping in the wind.... Tiresome and aggravating to say the least. I want to use X for the ATC realism option, (BeyondATC, Say Intentions) but I'm unable until I can get these issues squared away. If I can get that behind me, I'll definitely get the Intruder... But likewise, I can't wait until I can roll in with 24 Mk82 'Snakes' in the HB Intruder. 'Warheads On Foreheads'

Not that I'm planning on purchasing anything coming in this update, or even know how to write code, but just wanted to say 'Thank you'! for providing some background into the unforeseen issues. @NineLine @BIGNEWY Thank you guys for all you do. You have a difficult job being the ED Forum punching bags, all the while remaining positive and professional. I'm absolutely *not* jealous of your tasks here. Id rather eat crunchy dog poop than be a ED Forums moderator...

@Devil 505Just out of curiosity, what are you using for your controllers? I tried to map my TM Warthog to the Brand X flight sim, but I have a difficult time getting things to operate as smoothly as they do in DCS. Thanks for sharing the Intruder. Seen it, thought about it, but wanted to wait until I had conducted some research on it.

It is now July 2nd.. I ordered on 30 March. Is there a Point of Contact that we can reach out to regarding this issue, and will they respond?

Sometimes my view in the cockpit gets a little wonky... Usually when I'm trying to look at a switch panel that's down and behind me, such as the F-4 or Viper, and sometimes during a spirited ACM bout. When the VR does go off center, and my view is outside of the canopy, my only option is to exit to desktop and restart, which is quite time consuming. (Due to work/ family priorities I *might* get 5hrs a week to play) Is there anything in development or already available that allows you to recenter the view, similar to how you press the spacebar in that 'other' game?

I started having issues about a month ago...I have since uninstalled/reinstalled DCS. I now have sound but only while I'm in the cockpit. Upon game start, I get no menu music, but the Buttkicker is making my teeth chatter. In the cockpit, I get Master Caution/Advisory warnings, training Instructor, Jester, and voiceovers. But nothing outside the cockpit comes through the headphones. If I select the headset to be the default audio, then I lose *all* game audio. I have uninstalled the Windows Sonic Sound Suite, just to make sure it wasn't the conflict, and nothing changed. I've also updated the drivers for the headset. If it helps at all, I have the same issue when I watch Youtube videos. I can have the Buttkicker, or I can have audio. I can't get both to work simultaneously.

Any news on the A6 AI that was shown off in-game over a year ago?

Absolutely.... Numerous potential roadblocks in play. Just simply agreeing with the idea is all. -

I'm a nobody in all of this..but as much as I would absolutely *LOVE* to hear Mr. DeFoe make wise cracks about the Phantom sh*tte* leaving his signature around the Carrier Ready Rooms, as well as going downtown, and SAM City, he will need to live to the young age of 150yrs to be able to assist HB with Voice overs. But my fingers, toes and arms...are crossed for this to come to fruition. -
+1 !!

@Silver_Dragon @Bailey: As a single player, is there anything that I didn't list that you would consider relevant?
-
Thanks @Silver_Dragon. I should have added that I play single player at the moment, but hope to progress to MP/a squadron soon.

Planning on cooking the same tomorrow myself! Looks mighty tasty!

Is there a current list of all of the currently maintained 3rd party plug-ins for DCS? If so, do you mind providing a link? Examples: SRS Viacom Voice Attack TacView etc? I searched here in the forums and on Google but couldn't find any lists. I play mainly single player at the moment. Just wanted to see what was out there that maybe I'm not aware of to upgrade the QOL in DCS. Thanks in advance!

@NineLine I Want.The.Hat. How do I get one? How am I supposed to rep ED at the biggest commercial/Military airport in my state without a hat?
-
I actually LOL'd at this.. Love it.

What perplexes me...and I must say that I'm not exactly the sharpest knife in the cutlery set...is that the people that seem to be tearing at their keyboard in rage to see DCS burn..sure are posting a lot in the DCS forums. If you are that fed up with DCS, why are you even here? And posting? If your goal in life is disparaging DCS to all who can read, and raking NL/BN through the lava of the situation makes you feel as if you have 'won'...then I 'm terribly, terribly sad for you. I don't get it.

Here in Oklahoma, the NG uses them for dropping hay as well during extreme weather events..such as massive flooding/extreme drought. They are also used for combatting wildfires. A Bambi Bucket/Wildfire mission would be cool to see in game.

@BIGNEWY @Chief_Bivand all- Problem solved. Did as Chief_Biv stated... Not sure how, but all JHMCS aircraft were placed in "right eye only" status. How does that even happen?! Thank you kindly for taking the time to look into it... Much appreciated.

I don't recall ever being on the proper page, let alone actually changing that setting, but I will double check that and attach screenshots when able.

Buttkicker Pro - Optimal HaptiConnect Settings?
=DROOPY= replied to Cobra_B39's topic in Controller & Assignment Bugs
@FizzleCan you elaborate on this a bit? I am having similar issues, and have very little experience dealing with the lua. FYI: I have uninstalled/reinstalled DCS in an attempt to rectify the issue and was not successful. I have sound in-game but only while I'm in the cockpit. Nothing external. I'm running Windows11, and a Buttkicker. Upon game start, I get no audible menu music, but the Buttkicker is thundering away. -
@Flappie Will do! Thank you!

Not sure what happened to cause the issue. Was working fine up until a few days ago. I crank up the brightness in the respective aircraft (F-16/F-18) and it's barely readable, and right eye only. And it just so happens that due to an old eye injury, I'm left eye dominant now. dcs.log
