I'm so happy it's Urga-Media who have done this map. Those screenshots and tease videos are AMAZING!! Quite the buzz to instantly recognise several places I have visited in Germany.
Such high quality and respect to Uga for often listening to the community to make their maps better/ more functional (e.g. the addition of Crete to the Syria map). To my mind, Urga really earnt their spurs with the Syria map. I'll buy this one in a heartbeat and I'm really looked forward to the phased additions to this map (my SSD, not so much
). Excellent work guys!!

I'm not the biggest WWII fan, but I think delivering a Pacific theatre, complete with period map, ground assets, ships and aircraft at the same time (with more to follow) is a great move and a solid business decision. Well done. I can really see this drawing people in, including myself.
I do hope that the ground assets include appropriate AAA from the get-go, as this will be essential for realistic scenarios.

Same problem, even though I've got an exception for the DCS folder set in Bitdefender.
Haven't had an install issue for such a long time. Disappointing.
Addition: no notifications from my antivirus (Bitdefender)

What modules in Early Access have gone 5 years with no improvements?
Missing Early Access improvements is one thing (Yes, I'm looking at you Yak-52). However, I paid for 5 aircraft under the DCS WWII: Europe 1944 Backer Rewards Program 11 years ago and the Me.262A-1 from that bundle still hasn't even seen the light of day yet, never mind going into Early Access and then sitting on the shelf without updates for for years on end.

Great Christmas suprise. Thanks ED.

I've found that occasionally the TACAN can get stuck, specifically on the "Range" indication. The simple fix seems to be just powering the TACAN sytem off and then back on again and it will reset. I'm not so sure it is specifically a Syria Map issue, rather than a minor TACAN system issue, as I've had this occur occasionally on other maps.

I thought the same thing. I would also like to add the Mi-8. And then maybe not just a graphical update but also additional functionality.
And perhaps finally the multicrew for this beauty??? Well due an update for the old girl.

You are very welcome. I look forward to more such videos every couple of weeks, or so.
Kind regards,
Wags
So its been more than six months now since the first video was released. When can we expect the next video in this series from Wags?

Its a fully paid for module and should be worked on, updated and completed, just like any other module.
People paid full price for this module and they should have a completed module delivered in return. To not do so is just ripping off the customer, pure and simple.

Have you done the basic deleting of fxo and shader folders?
Doesn't that occur automatically now as part of the update process? I thought that function was implemented by ED some time ago into their Updater?
I may be wrong/ forgetful. ... I'm old

Yep. Looking forward to this one too.

Thank you.
The L-39 is one of my favourite aircraft to fly. Have loved it since the day it released.

Awesome update, packed full of detail!! Thank you.
While we all enjoy new aircraft coming down the pipeline, its these substantial changes to the core engine (often years in the making) that will ultimately make the most profound impact to DCS going forward, specifically in terms of new player attraction/ participation and overall player enjoyment.
Kudos to ED for pouring this much time, effort & resources into core functionality.

Only buying if they simulate the toilet down the back with the Curtin you pull around yourself.
also needs a angry/sweary loadmaster
Trust me, you don't want that!!
The grumpy, swearing loadmasters are standard issue on all variants of the C-130 from my experience
No avoiding that.

Getting this as well (black flickering squares or flickering black half screen). I've flown around East & West Falkland so far and while this issue occurs over all areas I have flown so far, it does seem to happen more frequently near Stanley & Mt Pleasant. Yet to see if it is an issue in Argentina or Chile.

Tried it and went down like a dart!!
I'll try it again but try to catch the nose quicker

Agree this seems an issue, even with the recommended settings above.

DDR Training Ranges

^ This PLEASE!!! If we have tank firing ranges included in a combat flight simulator (nice to have), then we absolutely need aircraft gunnery and bombing ranges included for both sides please. Having the real legit ones included from the period would be fantastic.
