iControl DCS (Another iPad pit)
Phantom453 replied to boarder2's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Works fine for me. I run a virtual monitor off to the right side of my monitor to display/ park the MFD/ CDU output and have the display setting set to high (for trial purposes at the moment). I have all the in games settings maxed out with the exception of water, which is set to medium. With these settings I'm getting a constant frame rate of 70+ with the Ipad set to single MFD, and 30 -36 FPS on the main monitor. Thanks for the quick fix for DCSW Boarder - Much appreciated. -
Do I need TrackIR to enjoy/play this game?
Phantom453 replied to jreynol2's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I wouldn't fly without it. I had to a few weeks ago though, at a mate's place, and it was like flying with your head glued to the side of the canopy. Worth every penny IMHO. Fish has a pretty good video on Youtube about how to set up & tweak Track IR. -
Wow! thanks Wags and ED team

Yes, just like Christmas .... but with a supercharger!! And I just happen to have this week off. Thanks ED & Team - outstanding effort!! -
What about rolling Windows 7 back to a resore point before you went on holidays, then roll forward (apply updates etc) and seem if it workes this time? I haven't had this problem after any Windows updates.

Same issue here (& same pedals) - most of the time, although it does seem to depend upon what you have loaded as to how much pull you get. Does always seem to be the right though for taxi & take off. I increased the curve on my rudder to give finer control over this - just to try and prevent the "zigzagging tool" factor mentioned by astrospud above.

Phantom453 replied to blade782's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Do you have any other controllers plugged in other than your X52, like a game pad or steering wheel? If you do, you should try unplugging them. I had the X52 Pro for many years. I really enjoyed them, but I just couldn't crack AAR, no matter what I tried. Never managed more than half a tank in one go. I got the TM warthog for Christmas and never looked back. Got my first "Transfer Complete" that day! Expensive, but worth it IMHO. -
yawc, yet another warthog checklist (iPad)

Geat stuff & Good work. Easier to navigate through in an Ipad and also the larger screen helps for the airfield chart when compared to a Kindle. Thanks for your efforts. -
Very clever! Happy New Year too.

Hi ... new player ... need help mapping joystick!
Phantom453 replied to WriterJWA's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
You wont reget those purchases - especially the Track IR -
Leto & kylania - thank you for you advice. I'll give those points a go. hassata - thanks for the cheat sheet. That will really help as I still have my X52 profile burned into my brain.

Sorry Statrekmike. Already gave them to my brother - hoping to encourage him into the DCS world.

Hi all, My good lady and daughter threw in for my Birthday (22 Dec) and Christmas and I got a set of TM Warthogs too. A very happy and spoilt boy I am. Wow - they are heavy!! I also had to modify my desk to take them with a larger and more heavy duty slide out keyboard shelf. They feel great!! I’m still getting use to the sensitivity and different profile/ button assignments after having the Saitek X52 for many years. I also had quite a curve on set the X52's in a vain attempt to conquer AAR. After many months of practice I got close but never quite cracked a full AAR with only one connect - never mind at night or while the tanker was turning. At the moment, while I am getting use to them, I have left the Warthogs set in the default game profile settings (fixed the POV/ Trim switch as I have a Tack IR). For the other TM Warthog users out there, I have a few questions please: 1. Do you set a X/Y curve at all (especially for AAR)? If so, how much for each X & Y? 2. What do you have the other keys assigned to do - paddle switch etc. 3. When you assign these other buttons, have you used Target to do it or assigned them through the game? What is best to achieve this? I guess I am looking at thing like NVG functionality, possibly landing gear, Track IR centre etc. Thanks for your advice, Paul

I have has the same issue on two other missions. Seems to occur after returning from a mission and during rearming and refueling or just after it is complete.

How do I share my SPI exactly? Is it automatic as long as I have the data link turned on, or is there something else I need to do to share/ send it? Thanks.
