  2. If you still need help you can contact me in discord, via Eagle Dynamics Discord. https://discord.com/invite/eagledynamics and @RosyPlays in #dcs-help-room channel.
  3. What is the problem? Can you post a new DCS log and new Clip of the game performance?
  4. At this point I recommend just completely wiping your OS and re-installing it to something like Windows 11 You are probably have all these issues because your OS is full of bloated software and programs. Reinstall windows and reset BIOs to default settings.
  5. I think it's because you are overclocking your computer, I have an RTX 3070 8GB VRAM, I7-9700K, 16GB 3600MHZ RAM and it runs perfectly fine even in VR. Also check your components temperatures if they are over heating. Also I'm using maxed settings on my RTX 3070 build.
  6. Are you running the game on SSD or HDD? Also 80 degrees and above on the CPU/GPU will cause thermal throttling which will cause stutters and fps drops. I would recommend doing the following steps to hopefully fix your issue: 1- Increase the GPU fans RPM to lower the temperatures and clean your Desktop and re-apply thermal paste on the GPU. 2- Remove any overclocks and reset all settings to default. 2- Do a full clean re-install of the GPU drivers (Including Nvidia Control panel). 3- Close all background apps by disabling startup applications and unnecessary startup services. 4- Remove all DCS mods. 5- Delete the DCS saved games folder. 6- Do a full clean up and repair of DCS. 7- Use an SSD. 8- Follow my guide for optimized settings.
  7. Update for DCS World 2.8.6 Multi-Threaded Benchmark PC Specifications: CPU: i9-9900K @ 4.7GHz RAM: 32GB (2x16) Memory @ 2800MHz CL14 Page File: 64GB STORAGE: 2TB M.2 NVME PCIE GEN 4 SSD GPU: RTX 4080 16GB VRAM MONITOR: 1920x1080 Resolution and 240Hz Refresh Rate G-SYNC ================================================================= The following benchmark was tested on DCS World Version Multi-Threaded Preview 2.8.6.41363 Caucasus Free Flight (DAY) mission flying the F-15E S4+ with the following CUSTOM High settings.
  8. 1. Try closing steam and then running steam as administrator. 2. Delete the files and then repair/validate files \Steam\steamapps\downloading. 3. Disable Antivirus.
  9. I tried the same settings as above but 80% Forest Visibility to see Trees. 20FPS when flying super low to the ground. 30FPS when flying 2000FT above the ground. 40FPS when flying 7000FT or higher above the ground. 64FPS when flying 10NM away from the Islands. 80FPS when flying 40NM away from the Islands. Here are some screenshots I have taken on Mariana Islands:
  10. Recommendations for anyone who wants to play Mariana Islands on decent FPS and have ok graphics: Lowering Visibility Range - from Ultra to Medium, increased 8FPS. (Objects Visibility) Lowering Forest Detail Factor - from 1 to 0.1, increased 9FPS. (Trees Textures) Lowering Forest Visibility - from 100% to 30%, increased 6FPS. (Trees Visibility) Lowering Water - from High to Low, increased 7-17FPS over water. (Noticeable when side to side images). Grass/Clutter - 0. (Grass). SSAO - OFF. (Slightly noticeable when side to side images). SSAA - OFF. (FPS KILLER) (You can use MSAA instead). All adds up to 40FPS increase when flying low over the islands.
  11. Also I have got a second setup with these specs: CPU: i7-9700K 8 Cores 4.5GHz. Memory: 2x8GB(16) DDR4 3600MHz. SSD: Crucial P2 M.2 1TB SSD 2400MB/s. GPU: Zotac RTX 3070 8GB. Screen: ~32Inch 1080p 75Hz Samsung TV. VR Headset: Oculus Quest 2 via Air Link 5408x2736 90Hz. (45-60fps with max settings in VR).
  12. Try uninstalling then reinstalling the drivers through Windows device manager.
  13. It's a very well known thing many people posted the same thing. https://tacview.fandom.com/wiki/FPS_Loss_While_Recording_Your_Flight_in_DCS_World
  14. I doubt this is going to change anything but you can try it. You should try to figure out what is the cause, I recommend you test your Link Cable check it's connection, speed, bitrate etc I recommend using a tool like Oculus Debug Tool located in C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics if it's not working as it should be I suggest you replace it. Someone had this issue and replaced their cable with a higher quality/faster one and it fixed their issues. You can install motherboard drivers if available maybe that will fix it? And once again if you have a Quest don't use SteamVR for DCS just use the Oculus app, maybe try uninstalling SteamVR?
  15. It's already confirmed it's an issue with the new patch/update just change your SSAA setting to OFF or x2. Do NOT use SSAA x1.5 it's the option that's causing the issue.
  16. Try changing Cloud settings to Ultra and using MSAA x4 OR SSAA x2 (do NOT use SSAA x1.5 it's bugged currently) if issue still persists let us know in a new post.
  17. I'm running 45-55FPS Quest 2 VR with I7-9700K RTX3070 8GB VRAM 16GB RAM 3200Mhz maxed settings except SSAO,MSAA 5408x2736 90Hz with Air link no issues here. It's highly possible it's a hardware issue or system software issue, if the issue is that serious I recommend investigating your components and system. One possible solution is to reinstall Windows 10 and replacing the faulty/suspicious components. Edit: I have suspicion it's caused by Oculus link try using Oculus software instead of SteamVR. @NathB
  18. Can you post the track here? It should be located when saved in similar location like this one C:\Users\User\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Tracks , also post your game settings and dcs.log right after flight C:\Users\User\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Logs to see if we can reproduce the issue and determine the cause.
  19. There is nothing you can do now really, it's a common issue right now until developers release a fix for it. Edit: You can switch back to older updates or stable build (DCS 2.5).
  20. The log cuts off when detecting controllers/joysticks so there is no info about crash there. But you can try to rename the C:\Users\User\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta Folder to something Like "DCS.openbeta_OLD" and then running the game and see if that solves that issue if so then your save game folder was corrupted, you can copy some of things such as controls and liveries from it and paste into the new generated one.
  21. It will run it but you might need decrease the settings for good FPS, I estimate upgrading from 1080p to 1440p will have like 20-35FPS Decrease. And you can decrease your resolution back to 1080p if the performance hit is that bad until you get a new GPU. Also check out my post to see what settings have most impact on FPS if you get FPS issues.
  22. Hello MEL4R, It seems like you are missing some DLL files which could be because you didn't install Visual C++ 2015-2019 go to the link below and try reinstalling it and restarting your system, let us know if that solves your issue. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads-2647da03-1eea-4433-9aff-95f26a218cc0 If that doesn't work either, try repairing your DCS with the guide below. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/repair/
