  1. "There are no stupid questions, just stupid people" And here is one we sometimes tell our customers: "Old Chinese proverb say: what you want today you should have ordered yesterday"
  2. Mmmmm interesting . Of course this is just a piece of writing from teh internetzzz but let us ponder a bit. AH should "only" be used together with ground forces, maybe this opens a new perspective on the BS missions. More supporting roles instead of lone wolf actions? What do you think?
  3. I´m going to be brutally honest with you. The 9400 is a very nice budget card but dont expect good results with games. However this is of course not the answer you wanted :smilewink: First turn down all the eycandy in BS and then slowly put everything up a notch. Play with each new setting at least a few minutes to get a clear picture if you like the new settings. If you still don´t like the way the 9400 handles BS start saving for a better card (yes that would suck I know  )
  4. I'm getting about 5+ ms for random access times with this drive so (almost) no micro stutter for me.
  5. Ok thanks!! Looks like a fine Mobo. Now if I could only get my greedy hands on some 400GB SAS drives :D
  6. Source and no FOX news or CNN doesn't count. ;)
  7. I'm using one of these: Seagate 146GB SAS Hard Drive - ST3146356SS Will set you back some 200 bucks. Seeing that I want to upgrade the end of this year. I'm interested in a consumer mobo supporting SAS. But I cannot find any reference that an Asus 6PT Deluxe is capable of supporting SAS drives.
  8. Hi could you please test it with CrystalDiskMark? This is the score of the disk I've installed BS on: -------------------------------------------------- CrystalDiskMark 2.2 © 2007-2008 hiyohiyo Crystal Dew World : http://crystalmark.info/ -------------------------------------------------- Sequential Read : 92.918 MB/s Sequential Write : 86.645 MB/s Random Read 512KB : 64.437 MB/s Random Write 512KB : 58.744 MB/s Random Read 4KB : 1.627 MB/s Random Write 4KB : 3.789 MB/s Test Size : 100 MB Date : 2009/02/25 18:15:31
  9. WTF are you guy's getting drugged with? I have had all my wisdom tooth pulled in 2 sessions and drove home myself. I also had some minor and major dental surgery done and I still was not as doped as these people ever where.
  10. http://alacritypc.kensalter.com/ Oh and I like this one: Maybe it can also mow my lawn in the summer. Now that would be a great program :smilewink:
  11. 4 Intel Xeon X7460 @2.66 Ghz (a grand total of 24 cores) 256GB Memory, 667MHz (32x8GB Quad Ranked FB DIMMs) 4 Quadro FX 5800 Oh and then you may get above 35 FPS
  12. CH Fighter Stick, Pro throttle and the Pro pedals. I used to own a Saitek X45. It was a nice "cheap" HOTAS. The reason I bought CH was because after 2 years of use the X45 was giving me problems with Steel Beasts Pro PE, the disc under the spring had just a little to much friction. Even lubing it didn't solve the problem. Trying to hit a moving tank at 3000 meters with your stick sometimes jumping because you overcame the friction of the disc sucked. The cougar looked nice but after reading all the problems with the stock cougar I decided to go with CH.
  13. Thanks S@uDepp, I simply stopped Avast and downloaded the file. I also informed them of this false positive. Greettzzz
  14. Strange I'm getting a virus warning when I want to download the DCSBS affinity tool. I'm using Avast. Can anyone confirm the utter and complete overreacting of my virus scanner :D
  15. Sorry my bad, need to learn to read first and then post. This is my rig: www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/precn_690 I know that this is not a consumer (read gaming) computer, but even with 2 Xeon's @ 2.66 Ghz and 4 GB mem plus 1 10K RPM SATA drive and a 15K RPM SAS drive (BS installed in this one) I'm just getting between 25-40 FPS. The videocard is a 8800 GT. But I'm having a blast flying the BS. :pilotfly: PC's are strange creatures sometimes. Maybe a botched device driver is hindering his computer, but who knows for sure :(
