  1. I thought the previous implementation was more useful for most people's hardware setups. I also didn't catch the change in the notes, so didn't realise it was intentional.
  2. Since the new build the pedals are being trimmed by the yaw ap despite pedals being set to "do not trim" in special options.
  3. I have tried creating one. I could be coerced into trying again
  4. OK thanks. Some people in the ED discord said it was fixed so I thought I'd better make a post to be sure. I've had it forever.
  5. Happens predominantly on Syria if there's alot of stuff drawn on the map, after opening f10 map and moving it in anyway. All buttons in the UI disappear until I restart the program. Ryzen 5700xt
  6. After reading the PDF from the Apache forums: On realistic settings, it takes an inordinate and unrealistic amount of time for petrovich to switch from GROUND to INFANTRY. I understand that this is based on the geometry of the angle of the size of the object, in this case infantry, in comparison to his view. This is unrealistic because at the point where he has recognised an APC, he is still unsure whether he us looking at a man or a truck. This would be one of the first things he knew, and the geometry factor has made it the last thing. Perhaps this can tuned.
  7. Thank you! I suspected this. Do the simple, labels, and realistic override this? Is there a chance we can get the numbers for each option?
  8. Can we get a detailed description as to what is changing between the options. Is it affected by light and terrain? Distance or also time spent looking at the target? Auto seems to be an overtuned cheat or testing option that we won't be using on multiplayer servers, I now realise auto is following the mission options! I could have figured that out on my own. ... and Realistic could be nice but it takes an unrealistic amount of time in my testing for Petrovich to tell the difference between an infantryman and a vehicle, and still is unsure if they are enemy after they are shooting at us. For vehicles it seems somewhat better. The in-between options are more interesting, Simple and Labels Only, but I am interested in what affects the speed of Petrovich's IFF. EDIT
  9. I have been talking about this forever and I'm glad I checked your post before making my own. Well done!
  10. I also consulted the manuals and decided if following the real world manual the in game functionality would work as intended, but the behaviour on AUTO was not clear to me, as the flight manual states to switch to manual mode if icing conditions exist, from before to taxi to shutdown, iirc. So what AUTO mode is supposed to do, and when I would actually use it, that remains unclear, just like real life. Working as intended.
  11. I know! This was the first thing I checked.
  12. Just tried the update and the de-icing seems great.
  13. That much is known. I posted it because I hadn't seen anyone mentioning it, so I had no way of knowing if it was widespread, specific in some way, or a known issue.
  14. Sorry about the phone video, I hadn't started OBS before starting DCS so I was not prepared to record.
  15. I was hoping they'd have the Afghanistan setup with one gunner but a gun on each side, so he switches guns depending on the threat.
