  2. AFAIK the only hindrance is the engine itself, there's no upper size. But I'm only 90% sure. My bottle neck was the size of the downloaded map files which would be more than 1 TB.
  3. Try this if all else fails: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=56837
  4. I find it thought provoking that 18 people join the group but only 1 other than myself does anything to promote it or even post in the forum (except for panzertard but he is busy somewhere else). There is access to own server and Team Speak with 500 slots so there's no excuse not to put some action behind the well-meaning words. I don't mind putting a lot of work into something - I just don't want to do things in vain. I will be closing down the group unless someone volunteers to maintain it.
  5. Thank you very much. You, Sir, is the awesomeness!
  6. yes. two extra index fingers, three ring fingers and a thumb on your forehead
  7. How would wind affect the hud INSIDE the cockpit?
  8. Not to stray off topic too much, this is related: SPLASH 1: (A/A) Target destroyed. SPLASH 2: (A/G) Weapons impact. What is the code for missed target? For counting numbers of bandits killed?
  9. hey manfrez :) Try the new method I found with TrackIRFixer instead of ppjoy - then you can use faketrackir instead of virtual joystick - it works better. Good luck, buddy
  10. It just may be. Can you imagine if ED implemented FaceAPI natively in the coming DCS? That would be a first and a power feature for real. Can anyone help me confirm if: It works better with better frame-rate cams? and If the bopping is persistant in ArmA and other games? EDIT: know it sounds silly asking for an implementation of something we cant get to work 100% - implicitly herein lies the hope that the good folks at ED are smart enough to develop something with FaceAPI that is rock solid.
  11. Sweet. Btw, I choose Good and Cheap. Don't need fast. For slow is smooth and smooth is fast :)
  12. If inverting doesn't work try disabling Roll (Z axis) - it seems a little hard to have natural movent on both. I can't seem to get a rock solid view along two axes, ie. if I look down and to the side on the instrument panel I get some bopping even though I hold my head still :wassat:
  13. You will need to invert Pitch and X roll (top right in the FTNIR settings), hope it works.
  14. http://sourceforge.net/projects/facetracknoir/forums/forum/1150909/topic/3807344 The developer says we could try a tool called TrackIRFixer. Real easy to use and I can confirm that it works. I still get some unwanted head movement but I get full tracking along all axes.
  15. Two thumbs up for DX11 and 64 bits. We will be using the sim for years to come and it's a great start.
  16. Very nice. I wish I could give 100 rep all at once :)
  17. And they don't need to invest in trackIR, maybe they are doing it for free: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=56837 ;) Also, who says they aren't under ATC? Nothing in the pictures suggests otherwise.
  18. That stick is a helluva lot better than the X52 - I own both. The 52 scores better in the number of buttons department, though, but is awfully inferior in precision. I am 100% sure these guys are competent enough to choose what sticks to use. I would say to seperate the throttle with the attached umbraco :)
  19. Interesting question, I am following this thread.
