Hey all, I am essentially looking for the graphics settings that will get me as close as possible to how the release trailer and Wags videos look. I have a GTX 1080, i7 8700k, and 8 gigs of ram. I am also playing on an Oculus Rift if that matters. I don’t care about FPS right now. My approach is going to be get my graphics to look as close as possible to the release trailer / Wags videos, then slowly widdle those down until I reach my desired FPS. Thanks!

Hey all, I am very excited to say I have finally purchased an Oculus Rift! I am so excited. The $399.00 bundle is such a great price. Anyways, I always fly DCS at my desk. Monitor about 1.5 feet in front of my face, HOTAS at my sides on the desk itself. I have been reading the Oculus sensors need to be 2-5 meters away? Since my desk is not 2-5 meters in depth, this would not work. Does this mean in order to fly DCS, I need to find a new area to fly? Or can I make the sensors work if I place them, say, 2 feet in front of my face? Thanks!

Hey all, With the incredible Oculus Rift sale going on, I am considering getting one. I have a GTX 1080/i7, so hardware shouldn't be an issue for me I hope. My questions is, how great is it compared to using normal TrackIR? I am looking for feedback on head tracking latency, smoothness, resolution, and of course, realism. Is it worth it? Can I expect a smooth experience with a GTX 1080 and i7? Thanks!

So what's the most recent "official" word on the Strike Eagle? Is it only RAZBAM working on one, or has another developer also started development on one? The F-15E is one of my favorite aircraft of all time, I would really like to see it done. Thanks.

In the downloads page, I see that I can download 1.5 or 1.5 open beta. What's the difference between the two? Are the same multiplayer servers available on each? Which one is more popular for multiplayer? Thanks.

How do I connect to the 104th server? It doesn't show up in the list.

Is the 104th server up right now in the 1.5 beta? Every time I try to connect via IP address it just immediately goes to a black screen. The IP I try to connect to is 208.94.240.34 Thanks

This is probably VERY low on ED's priority list, but a little description of each graphical option would be nice. Maybe when you hover over the setting a description would show up? I know Wags has explained this feature many times but not everyone has kept up on the videos and forums.

Thanks, with enlarged and normal, do the models appear larger even when flying very close to them? (E.g. Formation)

Hello all, Can someone clarify the different options under the model visibility setting? These are the following options: Off, Normal, and Enlarged. The default seems to be off. Does this mean that it simply does not display models or what? It is a little confusing to me. I would assume I should keep it on normal, but I don't really know what each of these options do. Can someone clarify this? Thank you.

I'm happy to report my experience is the same as many here. Before the beta, my FPS would drop to the 30's while on the ramp with multiple aircraft around me. Now, in 1.5, I can be on the ramp with 3 F-15's and two A-10's immediately around me, taxiing, with NO loss in FPS. I'm not sure of my exact average FPS in game, but I will say this: I play on a 144Hz monitor and it is buttery smooth. Easily in the 100's. Oh, and yeah, the graphics are fantastic. Big upgrade for sure, even on the existing map. Great work ED.

First off all, I know this is the wrong sub, but for some reason I couldn't post in the 1.5 beta forum. I just installed the beta. Do I download modules (FC3 in my case) like usual and install it as usual? Or are there "1.5 beta versions" of the modules that I need? Thank you!

I do not have DCS World installed. I just finished installing Windows 10 and want DCS World 1.5 open beta. Do I just go here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/products/world/ And use the "download beta" button? Or will that download the last open beta and not 1.5? Sorry for the stupid questions!
