  1. Hi Guys, I currently have a normal 24" 1080p monitor, however i sometimes struggle to spot air & ground targets especially at distance. At present it is causing issues trying to fly carrier recoveries although i think practise is more likely the answer with this one. The rig I have is fairly potent, not the most powerful but ok for what i use it for EG Head tracking not VR with a 1660ti GBU & 32GB DDR4. This will be being upgraded soon so i am not too bothered about not having a 3090 at present as i will do at some point. So what would your single display option be? Size & Spec? What other display options would you go for EG 2 or 3 displays instead of a single?? Thanks Chilly
  2. Hi Guys, Been flying the A-10C for a bit now & have started practising air to air refuelling. However a problem i have been having for a while is trimming the aircraft which has become an enormous issue trying to refuel, even more so tan trying to designate a target for the Mavericks whilst trying to maintain a steady course. I am using a Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS so i know its not the equipment, it must be me or how i ave them setup. I do not have dead zone set as the stick feels nice & tight at the centre, i have the curvature on the axis tune menu set to about 40 i think, is this too much?? Cheers Chillybean
  3. i Dobbo45 I would try Matt Wagners F18 tutorials, they seem pretty damn good.
  4. This may not been grinder, BUT that is complete aviation porn!
  5. Err i dont think a lot of people would agree with you there Ocendar at least not in the present climate!! LOL
  6. Hi Guys Sorry, when i say i brought it, I mean i tried the module on trial then brought it, not that ED forced me to buy it, although i guess that the sales technique! I do have a bit of a soft spot for new modules though :-)
  7. Welcome Dobbo45 I am new to DCS too, although watched vids by a couple of Sqn's for probably at least 6 months now before getting all the gear etc to start flying. Let me know if you want to do some 2 ship training, I think meeting & flying with other people is the best thing about DCS.....something you could only dream of in the flight sims i was using decades ago! Cheers Chillybean
  8. Hi Guys I have almost all of the hardware that you would need (Warthog Hotas & Peddles etc), but now i am starting to play around more with aircraft with full colour function displays (A10, Harrier, F18) i am wondering whether the MFD's would be a good addition. Especially as my ageing eyes can barely see anything small in these cockpits, trying to find a specific button is like looking for a needle in a haystack sometimes, so i end up using the zoom a lot................i mean A LOT! Would the MFD's make this sort of thing easier, especially when targeting ground units rather than using the displays on screen. Thanks Chillybean
  9. You sure those dates are right, i had the same with F18C. Next thing i know i had brought it!
