  1. Hi all. The standard SSA works fine for me, except the apache. When I install the Beta SSA I get all sorts of strange behaviour: Even in the Huey the vibration events seem really lagged, when I adjust the vibration level settings change doesnt seem to be accepted until I turn that channel of and on again. Sometimes the events get 'stuck' and vibration continues even after I have left the aircraft. I am running SSA as admin. When I go back to STD version everything is OK again (but no apache support). Any thoughts please?
  2. Any plans to add support for the Hercules in DCS? I really miss it with this plane and it would be great to feel the engines, ground rolls and cargo dropping out the back. Rumour has it that it will be added to DCS as a supported module in the near future.
  3. Hi all, I am running a dedicated server hard wired to my broadband router. I am having trouble with the server dropping clients. It can sometimes run for hours no problem and other times it will drop clients 3 times in an hour. It drops all clients at the same time with the exception of a client (me) who is running DCS on a machine on the same subnet (i.e. not wired throught the internet). I have had my ISP do line tests and monitors, I have had an engineer out to check the line, I have swapped my modem out for a new one but always the same dropouts. I am running 'ping for life' on a laptop hard wired to the same broadband connection and I can get DCS dropping clients without registering dropped packes on 'ping for life'. I have Norton 360 running on the server but disable autoprotect and smart firewall before running the server. Any help with rectifying this would be much appreciated, I am pretty much done with running the server now due to it's unreliability. John.
  4. Infra-red position nights for night ops. The controls are there for it but they have never worked.
  5. Yea, I was on the Rotorheads server last night with full Huey crews, manning the guns, operating radio, taking control when the pilot needed to check maps and calling targets. Sure, there's a few bugs - the SRS was a bit hit-and-miss and the flare launcer dumping all the flares at once but it was amazing.
  6. Mission 1 strange end Hi, and thanks for creating the campaign. I have hundreds of hours in the Huey in singleplayer and also on Blue Flag MP servers. I'm conversant with pretty much all the Huey systems so I felt right at home straight away with the first mission. Only problem is : I've just done the first mission and everything was fine until my door gunner shot the second car. When it was 'killed' it suddenly cut to an outside view of (I think) my Huey firing at the car and the mission ended. The scoreboard appeared saying the mission was completed but I had died! Shame, it was pretty good until that point - lots of other air traffic and comms chatter and a real feeling of immersion. Any ideas?
  7. You can also use the F10 map ruler tool. Create a vector heading 255 for the correct nm (was it about 22?) and it leads out to the carrier group.
  8. Many thanks for all your work Igor, your vision has supplied me with a hobby, a passion and an escape. Fly free! A monument in DCS would be a fantastic idea, we can all drop in personally and pay our respects.
  9. Multicrew! Haha, keep bumping it Hannibal! My bro is buying a VR comp just so he can multicrew with me - he's not interested in flying, just shooting/navigating. I always assumed that the Huey would have multicrew, he's gonna be gutted when he can't use those lovely mini-guns.
  10. Well the mission loads OK but due to all the weight of the fuel, ammo and cargo, I quickly get an engine fire. If I try to get translational lift the cargo jumps around as if it is attached by an elastic band. I think these are DCS update issues, which is a shame because the campaign is great. Maybe the mission could be split up into smaller missions? (probably a huge task). Anyone else had more success than me? John.
  11. Same Here... I have the same results as you, though 2.5 fixed a crash in the first mission in 1.5. Looking forward to the updated campaign.
  12. Any fix yet? The same thing is happening to me with this mission. CTD when I go into a hover to drop the cable. I can supply a track if required.
