Depending on the situation, if you set BINGO more than 6500, you got the BINGO alert, even with full petrol bingo.trk

I've watched video of the new F-16's G-LOC effect but where that one is a gradual fade out the Spitfire's is sudden; like flicking a light switch. Spit gloc.trk

currently it seems to be impossible to get a radar lock on a jamming target unless you reach burnthrough range (around 27nm) shouldnt it be possible to get a lock but not get range info? after all, the ECM use would increase a contacts RCS. shouldnt we be able to fire missiles with their home on jam capability at the expense of losing their loft mechanics (aim-120)? now even within burnthrough range the amraam doesnt loft - but thats a different topic in the past (about 2-3 updates ago) it was possible to get a lock on something thats jamming, this no longer is the case. is this intended to be that way? correct as-is Has the A-G FCR changed since these tutorials?
RyanR posted a topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Seems anything DCS tutorial that is older than a month is no longer relevant. In both of these videos, they can change the radar range while in DBS2. For the life of me, I can't get this to work. Every time I change the range, it punches me back into "NORM". Has something changed? Thanks. -Ryan -
Function to Separate targets used to work for a bit few months ago, although it was very clumsy, but now it does almost nothing, in many cases it does even worse - check the track attached. I cannot find any RL video, but in my opinion, it should separate all the targets around in circle, except highest threat, which stays at the same exact same place. f16_rwr_Target Separation.trk

This is an SA-6 ring it is 13.5 miles it launched at me at 20 miles. I have searched DCS threat guides they say the WEZ is 19.2nm. Have the circles always been wrong? I have not tried the other SAMs but the SA-6 ring is not correct.null

ACM mode has lockon issues when having any angular velocity with respect to the target. STT lock is very slow compared to other aircraft in DCS. The initial "track box" which is created drifts off target before a lock can be achieved. This causes issues in a dogfight. ACM lockon.mp4 ACMlockon.trk

Control response (in pitch) has been remeasured due to reported changes on Reddit by @BIGNEWY, this time at 165hz! It appears the response latency in control for the F-16c has been reduced dramatically to a point of imperceptibility in the last update. Changes to pitch rate are seen 2 frames after input at 165 FPS: Also just to avoid not being smart, I recorded a response at 60fps to make sure it was more time based instead of frame based and confirmed the pitch rate responds on the very next frame. The black line is the controller input forced by the command LoSetCommand(2001, 0) and LoSetCommand(2001, 1) while recording pitch rates simultaneously from the export.lua using LoGetAngularVelocity() Also, I can only record pitch or pitch rates AFAIK, not the position of the elevator itself. It is possible the elevator is being moved even sooner before the dynamic model reacts to it.

Hi everyone, I've noticed that the f18 rolls to the left when you have ATFLIR/TPOD on left cheek with or without loadout is the same Isn't the FCS supposed to "correct" this tendency? I've tried with 2 different stick, checked calibration/curves/deadzone but still i have a slight roll left that i have to correct with trim (much more with tpod than atflir) I've attached both the track and the mission i've used to test this tendency thank you f18 roll try.miz f18 roll test with atflir.trk

Good day to all! JDAMs (all models) TOO mode with HUD/HMD and FCR is permanently broken in Online, but with TPOD (not FLIR pod) it works. Bombs impact far away (100+ meters) from TOO point. In Offline all works correctly. This is not new bug (1+ year), not depends from map/server and also from machines specs (tried from Desktop/Laptop). But if its matter - last noted case was now at DDCS server with Persian Gulf. Im attaching track (JDAMs case at the last 4 mins.), sry cant cut track. Best Wishes. In a cold started aircraft, once I create a markpoint via TGP, a offset will apply to all waypoints. Anything pointing the waypoint will point to another location, TGP can even show me it's looking at incorrect coordinate. Toggling snowplow on and off can make it look at the right location temporally. A TGP masking or TMS back will bring it back to the offset location. Meanwhile, it won't reproduce in a hot started aircraft. 猫猫高加索训练任务-20240306-224121.trk

correct as-is Current FM Thrust-Drag w/ 3 bags vs Real World
wilbur81 posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
Since Wags and Wombat have a very entertaining and ever-growing YT buddy-ship happening, I thought I'd ask about this one and see if someone on the Team could follow up with Wombat about the real Legacy Hornet in order to get ours ever closer in this regard: Though anecdotally, Wombat talks in this clip about a Carrier-Qual. take off with three full bags in the Legacy Hornet where he breaks the Mach at around 500 feet off the water: "kept it in blower at 500 feet, a couple miles off the ship I went through Mach 1, and it shocked me." https://youtu.be/APAEykrfUZs?si=_Gql1s7iqzHXUDEc&t=1110 I've done several tests at different altitudes at San Diego-like air temps: the best I can get with a three-bag-otherwise-slick Hornet between 500 and 1000 ft MSL is Mach 0.91 (as you can see in the track attached...it can't break 0.90M in DCS currently until the very end before gas has gotten really low). In my test, I even reduced the internal gas to 20% at takeoff to see if it made a difference, which it did not... Just wondering if Wombat and Wags could compare notes to see if we are where we should be with our -402 EPE simulation and drag model, in comparison to the real world rough conditions Wombat describes, with the current FM update. Thanks for looking into it and all your INCREDIBLE work on this latest patch. DCS has never looked or ran better. Golden Age. Wombat3bagsTEST.trk -
Perhaps should be in the ME section but possible may get more attention here, if not I'm sure the MODs will move it.. Most of our missions run with 4 full SQNS of 3 x 4 - 12 ships. To get the most out of the excellent datalink sharing available each plane needs to be programmed with correct members and groups. No issue here, the work is worth it however on at least 50% of entering the data into a SQN and moving to the next, the group data disapears and has to be redone. The only work around is is a file file save after every section, a bit of a pain. Obviously the best way is to use a template but again on reloading the template, despite having all the relevant aircraft, the group data is missing.... back to square one... Perhaps someone would look at this please, would make life a lot simpler.... Kind Regards Chris https://carrierairwing.co.uk/

My F-16 cockpit shows a furry, fabric covered cockpit seat. Hard to believe they actually upholster the real F-16 seat with this type of fabric. Is there anyway to get the seat covering to show a leather or vinyl type upholstery in the DCS model?

Hard to definitively say this is a "bug" since the real workings of the system are classified and I'm sure ED had to do some abstraction with how they model the system. However... The AUTO dispensers component of the CMWS continues to run flare programs after the incoming missile can no longer possibly detected (for example, because it has crashed into the sea). It seems unlikely that the intent was for the system to continue dispensing when the threat has passed some time ago. It seems the minimum number of dispense profiles that will get triggered is 3 before the system stops. Given that at the ranges a typical MANPAD or other IR SAM is fired, only the first run of the program will have fired before the missile reaches the aircraft the subsequent 2 program runs are effectively wasted every time. In TWS mode and after engaging a target, I can't get the radar to change the azimuth. It will stay locked on 20*. I've tried the RESET button, going RWS and back. Nada. Stays on 20*. Also, how the hell do I switch radar contacts after launching an AIM-120?
-
Don't know if it is a bug or feature If you set your Friendly Filter to OFF on HSD, it still shows donor aircraft, member and all other dissapear.

I just found out that Sparrows cant be locked while in TWS mode, may sound it's not a big deal for SARH missile, but seems like STT lock is way more vulnurable to jamming, even at clos ranges, found this one on 80's server against Mirage 2k, is it working as intended?

correct as-is my noob f16 problem, datalink and landing
Suffer_Player posted a topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
First issue is how do I turn on my datalink when I restart my F16, if I landing with damaged viper, after I repair and start my f16, the datalink is not working, I check my IFF DL and MIDS LVT is on, and try the DLNK on LIST but it still not showing any data on my HSD second one is sometime I land my F16 when it's my first land in the server, no matter how perfect I land, I still can get repair message from the ground crew, but after that, it seems to back to normal do I missed something? because it is kinda annoying to me, hope someone can help me -
correct as-is Incorrect Gun sight reticle on F-86...
Owners Rights posted a topic in DCS: F-86F Sabre
When will the I correct gunsight reticle(?sp?) be fixed to properly represent the actual gunsight in the F-86? It should be a complete circle with a center dot. Not the current gunsight which is more a WW2, or MiG-15 Gunsight... -
I noticed that when i am selecting just 2 drop tanks and nothing else, or 2 a/a missiles + 2 drop tanks, or 4 a/a missiles + 2 drop tanks or even 2 amraams+ 4 sidewinders + 2 drop tanks the jet requires CAT I stores config otherwise if CAT 3 is selected i get a stores config error. The only Α/Α loadout that allows CAT3 is 4x amraams plus 2 heaters plus 2 drop tanks or 6x amraams plus 2 drop tanks Now correct me if i am wrong (obviously i am) but according to what i know plus various sources online plus DCS F-16C manual, even a clean F-16 with just 2x 370gal. tanks should require CAT 3 STORES CONFIG Switch. Sets the FLCS mode of operation based on external wing stores. When set to CAT III the FLCS limits the angle of attack and onset rates in order to increase departure resistance. This switch has no effect when the FLCS gains are set to takeoff/landing configuration (landing gear deployed or air refueling door open). • CAT I. Used for air-to-air loadouts without external wing tanks. • CAT III. Used for air-to-ground loadouts or when equipped with external wing tanks.

Steps to reproduce: 1 A/G mode 2 Assign SMS to a page on left MFD 3 Push S-J Observe page swap to other MFD 4 Push S-J again Observe page swap again Can be repeated. Track attached. ps the reason for needing to put the SMS on the left is when the HSD & HAD are both on the right there is no space for the SMS there as the 3rd space needs to go to either WPN or TGP.
