issue: TGP does not align with SPI of HAD reproduction steps: - try attached mission - set autopilot to fligh to steerpoint 2 (hawk location) - lock track radar with had when it starts launches - observe that TGP slewes from steerpoint 2 to a location no beigin the location of the SPI (see image, desert only). sead hawk.miz

After launching an AMRAAM on a target, there are many reason why you might have to break away and lose radar contact with it for a brief time. In the Viper, after radar contact is lost, the FCR only stores the tracks last known state for a few seconds regardless of what value target history is set to on the FCR control page. Once it is gone, your only hope of hitting the target is if the ARMAAM finds it itself (which lately, seems very unlikely). The Hornet on the other hand, can store the track in its memory for up to 32 seconds which gives it the ability to re-acquire it even after radar contact is lost. In this case, an AMRAAM launched after radar contact loss will still successfully guide on the target. Is the Viper's short target history a bug or is this truly how its radar works? Regardless, because of this, I have wasted many AMRAAMs that would have otherwise intercepted their targets. F-16 Target Memory.trk F-18 Target Memory.trk

I noticed that while using TrackIR, I have to move my head into like 5 inches distance to the HUD frame to have the whole projection becoming visible for me on the HUD glass. If I move my head back into normal position (leaning back to the headrest), the HUD projection size remains unchanged compared to my monitor, yet since the HUD frame size decreases (more distance), only the center content of the HUD projection remains visible. Is this a bug? I don't think this is physically correct. If the distance to the HUD increases, the HUD projection should decrease in size as well...

So, i tried this new feature and it works great on tanks and apc's etc. However i cannot get it to not work on civilian cars and trucks. Is this intentional or is it a bug?

Hi guys i use the stable version. i ve just noticed something with ATFLIR. in INR mode , when i undesignate i go back to the snowplow mode. in scene or track mode , when i undesignate i go back to a pseudo INR mode without TGT. I don’t remenber how was the behavior before last updates. I think that it would make sense that undesignate from scene or track mode leads to snowplow mode Bug ? Thks

correct as-is DL Mark point as STP5xx instead of STP7x (71-80)
Tarres posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
Not sure if a bug or user error When a member of your flight sends you a DL AG TGT, the data is received as "Steerpoint 500" (MKTP500) instead of STP71-80. Attached screenshot null -
As I enter a TIME DELTA all Waypoint's TOS data gets updated accordingly, but the DELTA value itself, in TIME DED, is back at 00:00:00 after I dobber out of TIME and then pick TIME again on the ICP. That means I need to make a note what DELTA is currently active as there's no way to get that information. Is that a bug or just a design flaw in the actual Block50?

Using JDAM with ATFLIR pod. Latest open beta as of 11/11/2022 In auto mode (atflir point track mode), I need to use TDC depress button to have the weapons accept target designation. Unless I am mistaken TDC depress in auto mode is to relocate atflir reticle, as weapon designation used to be automatic when in auto mode. The way I worked it previously was auto mode (atflir point track) did not need tdc depress as this mode automatically updated weapon on engagement.

I've found out that F-16 can't show more than 24 Waypoints in the HSD. The next ones doesn't show neither the circle nor the line

Am I doing something wrong? When in TWS (manual mode), the scan will not follow the TDC cursor. It only moves when I press the tdc designate target button ( I think it is called TDC depress).

Hey, at the new ATFLIR the Point Track Mode does not work. Matt said in his video it's working like in the old Pod, but it won't work. I press the sensor controll switch to right to get the two brackets with the point inside over the moving target. But the pod will not follow the target, it doesn't matter if it's TV or IR mode. Any ideas? Putze

I can only select zoom level 2X at narrow field of view on the ATFLIR, while on the Litening I can select 9X This gives the Litening TGP a much greater viewing distance Is the zoom level on the ATFLIR that much worst IRL or a DCS bug? 2 screenshots of maximum zoom of both TGP pods

hi I noticed a bug when I set one of the MFD's with the FCR page and then I expand it, the stpt symbology is not dynamic. If I move the TDC right for example the Stpt symbology isn't moving(same for all other directions). It also apears when it's not in the exp area.

Steps to reproduce (track attached): Set radar to SURF mode. Designate a TGT position with any sensor. Set radar to EXP (any level). Undesignate and attempt to return to MAP mode or use RSET. Observed behavior: A/G radar cannot return to MAP mode. RSET no longer functions (AIR mode functionality is unaffected). EXP (at any level) centroid maintains track on last TGT position, regardless of designating sensor. If radar master mode is switched from SURF to AIR and back, RWS replaces MAP on OSB5. Hi, There is no Dunkirk town in France but Dunkerque is its name, no Dunkirk or Dünkirchen or Дюнкерк. Thank you to correct this.

Hello, soo I was wondering why sometimes I had tracking fails and I find out whats happening, I think its something with the new patch but I find out that after loose radar lock on f18 the missle loose its hability to have mid track again, even if you retake the lock. Please take a look on the files or youtube video. Hope is something easy to fix Thanks 01 base experiment, never lost lock(splash).trk 02 ALMOST loosing lock just after launch(target icon on radar screen got from bright yellow to dark yellow) and retaking again quick(splash, same result as not losing lock) .trk 03 loosing lock just after launch and retaking again quick (missle fail) .trk 04 loosing lock10 secs after launch and retaking again quick (missle fail).trk 05 loosing lock15 secs after launch and retaking again quick (missle fail).trk 06 loosing lock20 secs after launch and retaking again quick (missle fail).trk 07 loosing lock25 secs after launch and retaking again quick ( splash due target on sight due pitbull).trk 08 loosing lock25 secs after launch and NOT RETAKING AGAIN ( same result as wile retaking, splash due target on sight due pitbull).trk tacview files 120c not reaquiring target.rar

OB .59625 Is the max takeoff weight for the P51 correct? I have seen several sources that list max weight for the D model at 12,000+ pounds. But in the ME, max weight is 10,500, which means you are over weight if you try to take a full compliment of HVARS, or almost any amount of fuel. Or am I reading this wrong?

The Catapult crew for cats 1,2 and 4 are standing past the foul lines for those respective catapults. Bow Here are the bow cats, you can clearly see how the respective crews are standing one line too close to the cats. https://youtu.be/Y92xIM7AyI4?t=115 From this video we can see the bow cat crews standing properly behind the foul lines. Waist Now compare these two images, the left shows the position of the cat 4 crew in DCS, and the right shows them IRL. You can very clearly see how much closer the crew are to the aircraft in DCS, whereas IRL they are stood inline with cat 3's track. Of course, obeying these proper foul lines will rely on another problem being fixed that I shall create a separate post about.

correct as-is No spacebar bug // Press [Spacebar] to continue
Glow posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
Where is the space bar in my Spit? This is actually in all tutorials from all modules, but here, in a Spitfire module is the most annoying. Beautiful made cockpit, nice audio voice commands, even edited with 1944 radio effect and then... please press a space bar to continue. I guess I'm the only one who get annoyed by this. It's like all those modules was made for some dumb arcade shooter, not a flight simulation. It completely destroys the immersion. The best solution would be just to cut off all the audio lines with it, and leave text messages. -
I recently installed the A-10C II module to scope it out and I had all kinds of problems with the controls so I removed it. NOW, when I fly the original A-10C, I find that the left and right edges of the HUD projection are beyond the width of the HUD window. I now have to shift left or right to see all of the data blocks. The problem persists regardless of zoom setting. I didn't have this problem before. I know this topic has been discussed at length before, but I don't recall my display being this way before, and when I look at tutorial videos online, it appears that the data blocks appear in their entirety for the person providing the video. For comparison, I have a pic of my HUD, preceded by a pic of the previous width projection, and what I commonly see in videos.

As per the manual, the SA page should display on its datablock the NCTR print of offboard donors like AWACS. It doesn't currently. Track attached. sa page nctr offboard.trk

So I took off yesterday perfectly fine Then today I'm trying to play a user made mission, where you take off from England and bomb a workyards in France, you take off from a drit aerodrome. I taxi to the end of the field, lock the tailwheel, hold the wheel breaks. put down half flaps, put the MF to 30 and release the breaks and throttle up to 55MF. But even before I get to 30, the engine breaks, sounds like a lug has gone loose and is ratteling around the engine. I've tried to throttle very very slowly, but nothing works, before 30 the engine breaks. Sometimes I manage to get it up in the air but either I get almost no power or the engine just stops. And yes the Cowl flaps are open. I follow this guide to the letter. The engine just dosn't want to get to 30 manifold pressure. I've tried with or without the boost attached.

At the moment, I can only pick up fighter radar for contacts, (both large and small) from about 50 miles away even though they are hot. Before the update, I was able to bug targets usually over 80 miles. Was this change intentional or is it a glitch?

Hi everyone, I am wondering if this is a feature that doesn't exist in RL or that I have just not yet discovered... The question is the following : when you release an ordonance on one wing only, the plane center of gravity moves on the opposite and it tends to roll, something that you can correct by manually triming the plane. I am just surprised that an automatic triming function would not exist in such a sophisticated plane... It sounds raisonable to me that the rolling rate could be analysed by the computer and trimed acordingly after pilot action. Did I miss something ? Thanks

With the LITENING, I sometimes use the IR pointer (MARK) to point at stuff during night missions. I don't see this function in the current ATFLIR though. Is it something that will come eventually, or is it simply not a feature on the real ATFLIR?
