  1. After today's patch I noticed that SA5 has this odd tracking, it starts to 'wiggle wiggle', not gaining speed and miss the target odd_SA5.trk

  3. Everything had been working great….and then I got an automatic update from my oculus quest 2 software. Updated and Now I get a different looking “room” when I fire it up. Used to be three windows with various stuff (no background) and I would load DCS from the steam window on my desktop w/ mouse. Now it’s one window in my VR and I see DCS and Steam VR listed in it (weren’t before) Either way, I press “play” on steam to load DCS (like I’ve always done) and while it starts and gives me the NVidea page and then the DCS loading screen…it just…stops…after a few seconds and the loading window disappears. The steam DCS screen goes from “stop playing” to “play” again. If I click it again, same thing. I tried starting it from VR, I tried switching from MT to Steam Vr MT and Oculus MT in steam. Same I even tried loading DCS without any VR stuff on and it won’t load there either. I tried a different steam game and it loaded fine; just DCS. Like I said though, even with VR stuff off, it still won’t load past a few seconds of the initial screen. I tried restarting twice but same. Any ideas?

Hi New here, so sorry if this is not how you post, but I'm stuck and cannot get VR to work. tried all the ocular role back settings etc and done all the fixes i could find on the forums. i go to   5. Hi all, I've searched through the game crash forums and can't find exactly what's causing the crash. It's usually when I do something setting the jet up or even just flying nap of the earth in the apache. I'm adding my latest crash log. So far I've deleted the China asset pack as that was one warning that kept popping up and I've cleaned and repaired DCS though the cmd prompt.   6. DCS Version: DCS Standalone 2.9.3.51704 NO MODS Hello All. After talking with some friends we have discovered that the yaw/side slip angle in the Viper doesn't seem to be matching up to real life. So naturally I went on the hunt on the forums to see if there were any bugs reported about this issue and I was happy to report there was bug report about this issue but the issue seemed to be dismissed rather quickly and said it was correct-as-is. After further searching I was lead to another bug report that was listed as "Fixed" on January 9th, 2023. After jumping into DCS and confirming the issue is still there, I have decided to report this problem and put a little more pressure to see if it gets fixed. To describe the issue at hand when you go into knife edge flight typically around sea level you can maintain altitude no problem. We are of course talking about a clean F-16. When I tried this in DCS, I found that no matter what airspeed I was at I could not maintain altitude and the nose slowly sunk. In the previous post I refereed to above, it was stated to maintain altitude in knife edge flight you must be at 85 degrees of bank. So I went back and tested this out with no success. It stoked my curiosity so I went digging and found a Thunderbird HUD footage of them doing the same maneuver at around 10,000 feet. I noticed that the bore sight cross in the HUD was able to maintain 10 degrees of side slip angle. After looking back at the track I confirmed that the DCS F-16 bore sight cross barely even gets to 5 degrees side slip angle. I'm assuming there is something either in the FLCS laws that is preventing the yaw angle to get past 5 degrees or it could be not enough side lift on the body. I came to the conclusion it could not be the yaw rate limiter because the angle of attack is no where near where it begins to limit. There could be some false reading as-well causing the yaw rate to be limited. Either way it has been around 2 years since this bug was first reported and I hope the team takes a closer look at this.   7. In EO-VIS mode with AGM-65, first TMS FORWARD will stabilize the TD box, Second TMS FORWARD will place SOI on the WPN page but then TGP starts drifting, it stabilizes only with TMF AFT. Track: TGP Drift VIS Maverick.trk
  8. Hi, the new linked triggerzones are a great feature, however they do not work with client or player aircraft, only with AI. For us mission makers having them available for the player as well, would open up a plethora of new possibilities.
  9. Without AWACS: DL on my aircraft and wingmen but we still don't see each other on SA, does DL not work without an AWACS? I have Members and Donors all setup in the ME but still people on DL show up as yellow brackets(unknown). I have ACLS enabled on Link 4 on the CVN on 336.0 which is also the default datalink channel could this be effecting it? struggling to see why its not working. EPLRS is set to come on at WP 0 also for all aircraft.
  10. After the fight against Iranian strike package, alert 30 should come to relieve us. But it seems like they were stuck at the carrier.   11. The ZBD-04A has three weapons. This post refers to the 30mm 2A72 gun (right of main gun), and the 7.62mm Type 86 (left of main gun). The 7.62 sounds like 30mm and vice versa. Google says the 2A72 rate of fire is between 300-330 rpm, and the Type 86 should be 700-800 rpm. Sound is definitely swapped. Three other minor notes: The 30mm tracers are much more frequent than the 7.62mm. Not sure if that's correct or not. Secondly, the main gun (100mm) is not usable. There's no option to fire it. After the Patch yesterday (That implemented Apache FCR), if I do my usual changing of the map from KM to NM, I can no longer adjust the scaling on the TSD, it freezes when trying to make changes.   15. Hi all, after extended testing, we found out that AIM120 dont hit a thing that is near ground ( >200ft) , - while the target is not in perfect notch. The AMRAAM never hits the target ,but always near it ,on the ground. We tried that from 20-15-10-5 miles. We tried to TWS and STT (nothing changed) The shooter was always above the target 10k - 5k - 3k feet, and the target was trying to notch. (not always perfect notch) The miss was 100% - all 6 amraams hit the ground. The ground was FLAT. something is going on here - It looks like ground clutter affects significant the AIM120c. (Have not tried other missiles) Thanks.

  17. On Mission 14 I start up, head to cat i when directed, and fly to marshall. The rest of the group radios in as they push and leave the stack. I check the boat and there's 3 tomcats on deck, Olive, and the one hornet that has the VMFA-122, think the stand in for the ea6b on deck. All the jets are turning with pilots visible in them. However, they don't take off. I sat at marshall waiting for Olive, and got the play-by-play on strike as the Tornados arrived and, and one gets shot down. Am I doing something wrong? Will try pushing to the tanker and seeing if that changes anything. Running Open Beta 2.9.1.48335.

  21. Same as with my previous report in M05, when I arrived at the first target (Echo2) it was destroyed. The comms were also similar to the previous one: Essentially "this is your target" and immediately after "well done, here's your next target". @baltic_dragon It seems like it might be a more general issue, not mission specific?
  22. Just bought the campaign and when I try mission 1, turn on battery, inverter, and UHF, I get the ATIS as default. I my player responds to stuff from lead, but I can't hear him. Even if I start the APU and tune into 33 FM, I still cannot hear him. Just that ATIS. Am I doing something wrong?
