Hi, I'm sure there is some kind of operator error on my part and in the past the P-47's engine was pretty reliable with WEP usage, recently I have been experiencing a brief drop in the engine and a rolling moment followed by an uncontrollable rise in oil pressure with the message in the debrief "Engine Degraded". It happens randomly sometimes during WEP usage other times afterwards when I return to a lower power setting for cruise. Sometimes, I can really abuse then engine and will will tick on just fine for several Rearms and Refuelings on multiplayer until I run out of Water injection...other times it dies if I just tap the water for minute. I'll attach a track that I tried to stay well below 65" for the fight and around 2 to 3 minutes on the 3rd 109, I get the "engine degraded" failure. Pardon the shooting but its the third time I ran it and got similar results. I'm sure it's probably operator error on my part and maybe someone more knowledgeable can set me straight but nearly all my losses since November this year have been due to this and I'd like to know what I might be doing wrong or if it's possibly a bug. I don't have random failures enabled and it happens online and offline for me as well. I have repeated with oil cooler full open and slightly open from neutral and got similar results but random times it fails. engine dead3.trk

It seems that radio transmissions to the Tl1155 (not the Tl1143) stop after a few minutes. If you set a unit (eg a truck) with it transmitting a looped wav file on say 130Mhz then you can listen all day on teh TR1143, however if you do the same on 3Mhz and listen on the TR1155 when you can hear it for a couple of minutes (inc DF) after which it cuts out completely (inc DF). As such it's not possible to use DF properly

Currently the undercarriage warning horn engages at +7 lb/sq.in. boost. That is the Max Continuous power setting according to the manual (DCS) and Pilot Notes (real-world). Pilot Notes provide various cruise power settings for the Mosquito - including -4 lb/sq.in. for long range cruise. This is currently unobtainable without the Gear Horn. EDITED: Mosquito Horn.trk

missing info Radar reset after going into Air-Air mode
JOYFUL_CLOVR posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
This never used to happen before the previous update and I'm not sure if this is a new "feature" or an actual bug. The video shows me setting up my radar to lock a target and then when I go to AA mode the radar resets and I have to re-set up and re-lock the target. This happens no matter if I use the AA button or my binding on my HOTAS. For reference I'm using the X-56. Is this a known issue? Here is the video I'm describing: -
Hey all, I am trying to align the Mavericks but it doesn't work. I am on the ground with a tank located on the other side of the runway. I have the F16 pointed at the tank and I am positioned at the opposite end of the runway. I set the Mavericks to PRE mode. I slew the TGP to the tank and TMS forward to lock the tank. I then slew the Maverick (which is not pointed towards the tank, it's off) and center it on the tank then TMS up. The Maverick locks the tank and BSGT appears and I click it. That should be it right? If I TMS aft on the Maverick to unlock the target, the Maverick slews back to being off again. Anyone have any luck with this? I have watch Wags video on aligning the Mavs but I can't get it to work.

Sometimes in tws if I bug say 3 targets with tms right, I can cycle through them and everything but if I lose lock and they disappear off the radar, once they reappear, I can only bug one. I’ve tried it with tms up trying to bug them individually and with tms right to bug them all. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Anyone's had the same issue ?? At the exactly same airfield , datalink works fine on a started F16 , but when I cold start another one , after I got everything done (things I think are needed to be done) , datalink still don't show up , no other planes on the display whatsoever .,.. I compared the buttons and settings on my plane and that of the started one , no difference , so what did I miss ???? That was so weird ...

No explosion of internal bombs after release in the training bomb run so you don’t know what you’ve hit

Mission hangs on about 80% load bar (spawning objects) Need a hard kill of DCS app. Unable to add a log due to this.

I have a lot of missions that I build myself without any fancy scripting, just use regular mission builder features. Since a release or two ago many planes that get shot down do not crash but rather perform quite unrealistic crash landings onto the terrain and then lie on the terrain, sometimes half buried. They then seem to disappear after a while.

Hey Guys, Just wondering if there was a way to change the brightness contrast of DL13 when using the AGM-84H SLAM-ER. I was trying to hit some ground targets before and it's just completely green, nothing distinguishable at all, from 15miles to 0miles. Thank you!

Most noticable when watching the F18 from the front in outside view. Starting max zoomed in its ok. Then, zooming out you'll start hearing propellor engine sounds. Only hearable when flying btw. start happening above mach 0.7. slower than that is fine. above it increases in volume and pitch

As the title, I believe the current damage model of the hind is maybe too vulnerable. In DCS, the wing will usually get taken out if hit by some 7.62 bullets, but this seems doesn't match the reputation of the hind. Plz do some investment on this, a soldier with an AK47 can take a hind out if he has a good aim lol, this just doesn't sound right.

If landing flat with wheels up and hiting the ground with wingtip, she becomes undestroyable. Engines will still work full powe, 88mm guns hitting her everytime, but she is still there, alive...also, if wingtip is torn away from the rest of the wing, the fire is still animated at now invisible wingtip.

Hi: When I look far left in the pilot seat my view is actually behind the seat I'm supposed to be sitting in. Would that be a Track IR problem ?, a game problem ? or is there a way to move my seat forward ? Thanks

Good news and bad news. The good is that the left wing bomb can now be successfully dropped using the weapon release. The bad is that the right one doesn't drop. Sorry...

I just noticed the gun pipper being incredibly jittery during an MP dofight session. Did this bug come bug?

There is a de-sync between zoomed in and out of the moving map and there is a de-sync between F10 map vs zoomed in vs zoomed out moving map. And re-centering does not work when the moving map positions are de-synced.

Maybe this should be merged with other AI threads, but i couldn't really find one that addresses this issue exactly. It is related with the recent under the hood changes in AI behavior. I've noticed that in some training missions, at times the AI will abandon its long standing tactics of vertical loops and instead try to go pure vertical, stall you out and then do a hammerhead on you.......which is great! What isn't so great though, is that it seems the AI never stalls out or departs for that matter. Namely i can go along with an F-16 hanging on its tail at 50 knots and not falling out of the sky, after all, it does have a T/W ratio greater then one at some altitudes. What i find puzzling is how is that plane perfectly controllable with so little 'wind' over its aerodynamic surfaces . So i did make several tests and i could see that thing make controlled over the top maneuvers with as little as 30-something knots.... Here's a snapshot of the lowest i've seen yet. It appears that there is no limit as to how low the AI wants to get. It will get as low as possible until it is you that has departed or stalled out. Anyone else noticed this as well? Is this working as intended? Or is it WIP? Cheers everyone!

In multiplayer it seems that I can’t fire the rockets, no matter what I do. The problem is only in multiplayer.

I have no issues adjusting tilt in RWS mode but when I switch to TWS mode, I can’t change the radar tilt. I always run the radar at 40 degrees, 40NM, 4B. I have to adjust the tilt for a target(s) while in RWS mode, and then switch back to TWS to engage multiple targets. If the targets climb or descend outside of the tilt range, I have to switch back to RWS to adjust the tilt and then back to TWS. Obviously not a great way to fight so I’m close to giving up on TWS. Since my tilt controls work fine in RWS, I know it’s not a HOTAS programming issue. Help please?

I'm having trouble with my TPOD video feed recently. Check out the below screenshots. I'm only 2nm from a massive ship which I can clearly see with my eyeballs. However the TPOD CCD image is unusable. I've twised the brightness and contrast all around but the screenshot below is the best image I could get . Any tips? Here's what it looks like with flir

Hi All, I am trying to learn how to use the AGM-65F in conjunction with the Targeting Pod. I have been watching various tutorials on YouTube, including SpudKnockers various videos on the subject. There are a few things I do not think are right on my setup. I have the FLIR set to Image Mode FLIR, as appose to CCD, White hot. When I select 'WPDSG' the pod image clearly slaves to the waypoint location, but even at say 20m range to target, all I see is green. Apparently, I am supposed to be able to render an image at <42m. All I see is bright green, in fact all I see most of the time with the pod, even if I am slewing it manually with the TDC, everything is bright green until I am about 10m from the waypoint/target. Even when I first select FLIR, the image is bright green, like maximum green brightness, even though I am in Snowplough mode looking at the sea I have replicated the mission in the same test area of the Marianas map, on a nice clearly sunny day at noon Please could someone help me

I've come across some weird behavior of the last Harpoon in a 4 missile launch sequence. There are no issues if I start the mission after the fresh start of DCS (actually I did the reboot also). When I try to fly the same mission again, without restarting DCS (and possibly rebooting), I always see missile #4 flying up to over 40k feet, leveling off then diving on the target... after overflying it and hitting it dead on. All 4 missiles were set to BOL with HTPT, LOW flight profile and SKIM terminal phase. In all cases, all missiles followed the programmed route. Weird. Anyone else seen this? Edit: I'll post the tracks and vids tomorrow.
