  1. Hello kind pilots, here is my probelm... So I will write down all of my components right here: CPU ---> Intel Core I7 8700K 3.70 GHz (https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i7-8700K-Desktop-Processor-Unlocked/dp/B07598VZR8/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&hvadid=77790517240465&hvbmt=bb&hvdev=c&hvqmt=b&keywords=core+i7+9700k&qid=1623684884&sr=8-4) GPU ---> GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G (https://www.msi.com/Graphics-Card/support/GeForce-GTX-1080-GAMING-X-8G.html) RAM---> HyperX Fury 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 2133MHz DRAM (https://www.newegg.com/hyperx-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820104674?Description=16gb ram hyperx&cm_re=16gb_ram hyperx-_-20-104-674-_-Product) Motherboard ---> MSI Z370 A PRO (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z370-A-PRO) Tell me if you want the rest of it but I think it's what you have to know. So here is my problem, I began to play dcs some time ago and didn't really have problems with anything, it was all running great at high settings but as the updates went to come I incountered this issue... I am lagging a lot and what I mean by lagging is a frozen screen for multiple secconds, sometimes long enough to make me crash my plane while I can't do anything... It is very annoying and happens mainly when I'm close to other players. So I don't know if it's a computer hardware problem. I lowered my settings, but it still lags, and the game runs just fine in solo with even higher settings. Is it maybe my RAM ? I have 16go and I saw that the recommended config was with 16go ram (they are maybe talking about playing in solo, right ?). When I checked the benchmarks while playing I didn't get much higher than 14go so I don't know... If the RAM wasn't the problem then I thought: maybe my connection is. I did mulltiple speedtests and always got similar results which are 45 Mbps in download and 20Mbps in upload. Are these numbers too low(maybe the upload in particular). I don't know what I can do more, maybe I should reinstall DCS ? I also checked if it was running in all of the logical processors but it already was, so no problem there... I'll try to lower my settings even more than what it is now but I find it weird that with this config it has that much of a problem running it in multiplayer but again maybe it's not my config, (it runs perfectly in solo with heavy missions)... Thank you for hellping me out...
  2. Hello Community, I tried to find a function or command to autockick all players from a multiplayer server but without success. In the specific I want to kick all player from the server before the server restart that is scheduled every 4 hours beacause server dosn't restart automatically if find a connected player. Could you please help me for this? Thank you very much in advanced.
  4. Not terribly important. A lot longer from players pov.
  5. Hi, some friends and I hosted a dedicated server a few days ago. We made a mission with some F/A-18C and A10s. We now have problems with random system failures appearing from time to time. The system failure option in the mission had already been disabled. We also checked the client options. Has anyone an idea how to fix this problem??
  6. XSAF Operation Alpha, Week 5 Documentary (server experience) "This is a live filmed op in DCS World on the XSAF Camelot server on during the closed Sat operation. The only polish is good editing and composition." XSAF hosts a public server, with a persistent and truly dynamic mission unlike anything else in DCS. This is available to the public, for free, thanks to the "Mad Scientist" we know as @PravusJSB. Want to come fly with us in the closed operation? Come fly in the public server and rank up (promotions exist in our server) - we'll see you in the virtual skies! This video, captures the mission and builds the excitement - but the real excitement and satisfaction when you fly in the mission, are an integral part of the success, get to experience all of the tools available to you, and the rest of the team! 7. One thing that I have thought may be useful to users is to have the Region dropdown on the server browser function as a series of checkboxes - a multi-select option for the filter. I say this because I have noticed from my own list, as a North American user that I see servers in Asia load before I see some nearby North American servers populate the list by more than a few seconds. Servers within the Asia-Pacific region for me have too high of a ping to be properly playable anyway, so it would be nice to filter them out and see more of the ones I could potentially make use of & sooner as the list loads. This would equally work for users of other regions to say, filter out North America and/or Europe as they desire. A small quality of life improvement I think would benefit the community at large, and is more user-friendly than changing between regional filters in case you want to look through more than one region at a time.
  8. This has happened in the past to me but was fixed before. This crash related bug has returned. Has happened twice in 10 Cat Shots. Hookup to CAT 2. Launch off the deck. As I do my clearing turn the game completely crashes a few seconds after leaving the deck. Happens so often I started to test it with the F-14A&B to see if it happens. The F-14 has never crashed. Each time I have done this I was on a Multiplayer Server. Here is the following crash dump from both incidents today. Crash #1 dcs.log-20210130-054454.zip Crash #2 dcs.log-20210130-010204.zip
  9. Hello, I've been having trouble playing multiplayer due to fps dropping to 0 on busy servers. It's not very a consistent issue, sometimes I can play for about 20 minutes at about 30-40 fps before I start having issues. The game runs at around 90 fps on single player, and around 60-70 fps on a less populated server. I've been trying to troubleshoot for quite sometime and am running out of ideas. I adjusted settings in game, used system monitoring software to locate what may be slowing the system down (didn't see anything obvious to me), and have checked here and other forums but haven't seen anyone mentioning having the same problem. I also tried recommendations for the VR issues other have had. I'm only using a monitor, no VR for me. Any help would be appreciated. My specs: i7-10700K 32GB RAM 1TB SSD RTX 3070 Internet speed is about 400mb/s down and 22mb/s up, my ping in game is around 45 Thanks
  10. After slinging Iso containers to unpack a certain item on a MP server, there is often 1 that will be jittering or shaking. This means that instead of 3 containers being avaliable to be unpacked only 2 are (and therefore wont spawn the unit in). Now previously you might have been able to hover or park beside the crate, attach a rope and then release it once it was hooked. As of the latest patch hovering over, or trying to attach a rope will cause a game freeze for several seconds (10-15) will will mean if you are in the air, you are now dead on the ground. if you have attached a rope, you might have some succcess and be able to detach it after a short period of time. Its quicker to sling a new crate though rather than try to fix the stuttering crate. I understand sling loading is not of the highest importance to ED right now, but can someone try to replicate this or investigate this issue. Its making those MP servers like DDCS very difficult to sling units.
  11. I tried joining 2 Hoggit servers and a dogfighting server and every time I make it through the server loading screen to the plane/ briefing page. When I go to click a plane, use the scroll bar or click on the page at all the game freezes and windows says that the program has stopped working. I have 16gbs of ram so I don't think that is the issue.
  12. Hello, DCS always crashes when I´m trying to connect to a multiplayer server. It stucks at "Mission Load Done" and then my PC tells me that DCS isn´t responding anymore. I don´t know why this happens; I deleted all mods to get back to the "original" DCS version, turned my settings down to minimum, but it still doesn´t work. Single player mode works fine, even with medium settings. Thanks in advance! dcs.log
  13. dcs.log I am getting consistent screen freezing in multiplayer, but in single I can run missions with 50+ b17s and up to 20 other aircraft at the same time with no issue help and a fix to this issue would be much appreciated specs: (GPU) NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER (CPU) i7-8700k @ 3.7GHz 16GB Memory Samsung SSD 970 EVO 500GB p.s. I have only had this issue from 2.7
  14. To successfully join and fly multiplayer, how much bandwidth is required for the client computer? To successfully operate a dedicated server, how much bandwidth is needed per player? I'd appreciate anybody who could shed a little light on this for me. Thanks! Mark
  15. Hey there, I'm writing this post, as I thought some newer users may appreciate it, or a sort of PSA if you will. The learning curve involved with DCS, as well as learning your aircraft of choice is a massive task to undertake. As much as it is inspiring to watch a DCS YouTuber effortlessly dogfight your favourite plane or dodging SAMs, it is also quite daunting learning how to get to that same point of skill. Perhaps you've found yourself mixing your training between haphazardly referring to the manuals, scouring forums, and YouTube videos. You're getting to the point in which you've played most of the instant action scenarios and some of the free missions, and feel like you need to take it further; and the option of multiplayer seems more attractive. However, unlike dogfighting against computers, you're operating alongside(or perhaps against) humans, which can feel like a quantum shift. You may be considering online squadrons, but nervous about your skill level in relation to theirs. Believe me when I say this, the vast majority of squadrons love to have more people share in their hobby, and take great pride in training people up. The great advantage of multiplayer, and by extension online squadrons, is the added value of learning, community, and most importantly immersion. When I first considered multiplayer, I was quite apprehensive, but once I joined I never looked back, and my flight simulation hobby is vastly enriched because of it. Learning: This can be a sticking point for newer people, since they feel that they aren't adequately experienced, or not good enough for an online group. This may be counter-intuitive, but in some scenarios, being less knowledgeable and joining a squadron to learn can be better. Ultimately while you're in single player, you don't know what you don't know, whereas when you train with other people, they can immediately identify what you need to learn, or what's not going right. Most DCS modules are extremely complex, and frankly the learning process for all of us never ends; we're all just at different points in that journey. As a newer user, you will massively benefit yourself to join a squadron as they can tailor your training requirements. Additionally, many instructors enjoy teaching, and it further enriches their hobby. The core note here is that you won't be burdening anyone from whatever experience level you're starting from, and most instructors love to teach anyway. Community: This may seem marginally obvious, but actually having people to share in your hobby is great. Flight simulation, let alone the DCS community is quite niche, it's not like you can easily have fellow hobbyists down the road. Instead communities are globalised over the internet as we're all spread few and far in between. Thanks to platforms like Discord, the value of community within a flying group is far greater in which you can jump in and talk to your fellow squadron mates seamlessly. Since I've been part of DCAF, I have made some great friends, and I enjoy being able to share my hobby with likeminded people. Immersion: At the end of the day, the value of flying with other humans rather than AI can't be understated. Whether flying with a human RIO or operating as a flight(or both!), the immersion offered is unparalleled. I'm still always impressed when I'm part of a flight of four in parade formation, as we all collectively work together. Or when you all go into a mission, splash some bandits and return to the carrier, the sense of achievement at the end of it is exceptional, because you all had to work together and thoroughly plan what you were going to do, and reaped the rewards of it. I often find going back to single player scenarios feel rigid and too 'sterile' now, since the only human component is yourself. Like what I was saying over learning and community, flying as part of a group fundamentally enriches the hobby. If you're still unsure, feel free to contact myself either here (or Discord), as well as some newer members who fly with me. This can be a good opportunity to scope out what it's like to join a flying group. We're all part of DCAF(Digital Coalition Air Force): Me: Panny#2973 Vak(halfway through training on the F-14): Aisxos#8894 Deivid(also in training on the F-14): Deivid#3419 Brody(recently finished training and is a line pilot): brodyzach#1944 You can also visit our Discord should you wish: https://discord.gg/RrzuvXXd9M Otherwise, if you're interested in my group, I fly with DCAF(Digital Coalition Air Force) as an F-14 instructor, and would love to help more guys out. We also have F-16 Fighting Falcon, F/A-18C Hornet and AV-8B squadrons, who will be delighted to take on more people. You can read about us here: And here: https://dcafoc.wixsite.com/home Or jump onto our Discord!: https://discord.gg/RrzuvXXd9M I hope for those entering on their journey with DCS, this post can at least alleviate a few concerns about the online paradigm. Cheers, Peter
  16. The basis of this bug I am experiencing is that the auto check for client integrity is saying the textures in core mods are not pure. I even went so far as to completely reinstall DCS in hopes of fixing it. The point is I haven't modified any of these textures and I can't join servers because of the glitch. It is a different texture every single time. I don't know what else to do. Can we have this looked into please because I am loosing my mind trying to fix it on my end. If you want any more information or a better description please let me know. Edited with more information. The problem pops up every time I try using the F-16c (in particular the textures), unfortunately this is different from yesterday which was super carrier textures causing the problem.
  17. Hello Everyone! This is my first mission submission to the DCS community. My goal was to create a Co-Op multiplayer mission that is challenging but more importantly, a mission that provides some kick-ass fun and also utilize my professional skills as an IT professional in the movie industry. Creating a scenario with a full sense of immersion was one of my goals, and hopefully, it hits the mark?! My brother-in-law and I had a BLAST completing the mission along with two failed attempts. It only makes sense to share this with the community that has helped fulfill my flight dreams and excitement for blowing sh*t up! ********************* Mission Details ********************* Operation: All Enemy Lives Matter v.1 Mission Trailer: It's an early December morning when sirens go off at Mineralnye Vody HQ. Russian forces are scaling an attack on the HQ. Supporting ground troops are engaged and in need of CAS. Mineralnye Vody is on high alert and deploying troops. Suit up and get airborne ASAP! Your task is to provide CAS and standby for the next orders as the attack unfolds. This is a CAS mission where orders drop based on completing the mission objectives. Protecting the base is critical. Multiplayer Co-op (2-4) * Designed for 2 players; includes support for up to 6 players Requirements: A-10C II or F/A-18C Playable Slots 3) A-10C II 3 ) F/A-18C ----- Map: Caucasus Time to Complete Mission: Give yourselves 3-4 hours * Depending on skill level IMPORTANT NOTES: If you wish to change the primary aircraft, Update the Group "Minner A10" Updating this group will keep all mission trigger functional. ** Mission triggers require departing from: Mineralnye Vody HQ ** Built and tested with the latest DCS Beta version: 2.7.6.13436 ******************************************************************** Known bugs: There is a moving train that may not appear on the F10 map. The train DOES appear in the game; proceed with objectives. Download it, share it, leave feedback, etc. Most importantly have fun. Have a fantastic flight & go get some! 18. Currently this aircraft has no random faults. I would further like to have the ability to inflict a fault to an F-16C flying without the pilot knowing, in multiplayer for training. Hope to see this in a not so distant future update.
  19. Hi guys, I propose some view restrictions in MP matches and new entry approach. The reason? Certain players do get too much attention on MP matches, with GCI coordinated attack probability increase, and sometimes are forced to change player name to avoid GCI focus. So here are proposal changes in coalition menu and F10 map. Starting from coalition selection in MP with 'Game master' instead of 'Spectator' as Game master would see current dual coalition view: Then role selection of only previously selected coalition. This could speedup module selection and sorting: Then F10 GCI map showing opponent player module without 'Player name' (bearing and altitude istead?): Then score-list with hidden module details: It should also protect teams from tactics leak and would contribute 'Fog of war' scenery. I hope many multiplayer gamers would agree on this . Thank you.
  20. I would like to request a server option, similiar to the "no trial clients" option, that allows only clients who bought at least one module to join a server. I want that option because most public servers banned the Su-25T from their missions because it is/was used to use cheats/hacks and to avoid bans by creating a new account which is very sad considering it capabilities and the lack of a good and/or capable redfor strike aircraft. A "no free clients option" would stop the abuse the use of the Su-25T once and forever in MP
  21. What is the status of the bug with ME placeable NDBs (non directional beacons) not working on the Persian Gulf map? I can remember the issue being reported 2 years ago, yet to this day none of them seem to work for anyone (both ARC and TACAN, latest personal tests with ARC in multiplayer with correctly placed and "working" beacons which no module can pick up). And does this have to do with the general map bug of fixed location beacons (NDBs) being coded in Hz instead of Mhz (typo-bug, as also present on Syria for a while, seemingly coming from and Eagle keylog being used as a baseline by Ugra Media)? This bug is relevant as for any mission scenarios that are above the absolute lowest denominator being able to home in on a road base or FARP when other means are not available or in DRIFT can be quite relevant (especially when forced to use terrain masking). Moreso since the PG map is quite empty and repetitive in many areas making terrestrial navigation especially at deck and even at angels an issue. An earnest update - even if it reads "we had no time/no ressources for that" - would be appreciated to at least know what the status is.
  22. Following rapid expansion of DCAF’s F-14 component, we are looking to onboard more F-14 crewmembers seeking executive and organisational capabilities. If you’re interested in flight leading, planning, training, and leading a squadron, this could be an exceptional opportunity for you. About DCAF: DCAF (Digital Coalition Air Force), is an EU based DCS mil-sim organisation, with numerous squadrons. We take considerable pride in our comprehensive training structure, regular custom missions, human controllers/ABMs/JTACs/FACs, and community. About VF-154: As one of the largest squadrons, VF-154 specialises in the air-to-air realm, with side roles of SEAD and air-to-ground flying the F-14A. Currently, VF-154 has 16 crewmembers on roster with more aircrew cadets in the training pipeline. VF-154 consists of an even share of European and American based crewmembers that come together to support DCAF. Why do we want COs and XOs? The role of a CO and XO can be time consuming but remains critical in the health and running of a squadron. While internally recruiting for the role, we believe bringing in external expertise and skills will bolster the capabilities of VF-154. This also coincides with the intention of standing up a second squadron, necessitating more leaders. What is the fast stream? The CO/XO fast stream is a course led by former COs/XOs and wing staff officers within the F-14 community. Fast stream trainees will be given an intensified course in which trainees will have greater personalised training, taken from line pilot/RIO to flight lead, to flight commander, and eventually XO/CO. This will be over a duration of a few months to ensure prospective XO/COs have appropriately assimilated into DCAF, have good rapport with the squadron, and demonstrate effective leadership and administrative capabilities. What we want from you: - To be at least 18 years of age, - Able to attend weekly ops (Thursday 1830GMT) and additional operations (Saturdays 1830GMT) very regularly, - Have considerable time to put into training within the week, - Be competent with the F-14A, whether pilot or RIO, o Pilots: this consists of being able to capably use SRS and is familiar with radio telephony, can confidently perform CASE I recoveries, conduct formation flying, air to air refuelling day and night, has some experience flight leading, and is readily familiar with the F-14’s capabilities. o RIOs: this consists of being able to capably use SRS and is familiar with radio telephony, has some experience flight leading, is familiar with the vast majority of TID modes including NAVGRID, an awareness of piloting the F-14, and CNATRA P-825. - A willingness and interest in training F-14 cadets, - Be a capable English speaker, - Be willing to use Discord, - Possess a stable internet connection, - Possess good quality flight simulator hardware, including a HOTAS, rudder, and at least a headtracking/VR solution, - A great teamworking attitude. This consists of a willingness to learn and assimilate into DCAF’s modus operandi, a drive to practise in personal time for self-improvement, be willing to take constructive criticism, and a strong desire for personal improvement to contribute back to the squadron. These attitudes precede leadership, - Bring great energy and enthusiasm towards the group and towards individual training, - Some leadership experience in dynamic situations, with an ability to take responsibility, identify faults and rectify them. While some of these traits are definitive requirements, no applicant is the same, and individual circumstances will be considered. What will the fast stream look like? Note: Subject to Change Trainees will enter DCAF’s training syllabus, primarily consisting of V1, V2, and V3. - V1: is our course that all aircrew cadets go through in order to meet DCAF’s minimum standard in partaking as a line pilot. This consists of a familiarisation flight (start up, taxi, departure, straight and level flight, turns, climbs & descents, 60° AOB turns, slow speed flight in landing configuration, high AOA manoeuvring, stall and spin recovery, descent, and landing), visual circuits, departures and arrivals (from the military aerodrome traffic zone), formation flying, day and night AAR(Air-Air-Refuelling), night familiarisation flight, weaponeering and combat readiness assessment. RIOs are different in that they have bespoke components in lieu of formation and AAR. - V2: is our flight lead course. Once V2 qualified, trainees will be able to plan, and flight lead a division of their airframe. This consists of a domestic flying assessment, a decision-making exercise, and a combat flying readiness assessment. V2 will also give you the preliminary capability to instruct most components of V1. - V3: is designed to give crewmembers the necessary skills to become a squadron executive (CO/XO) and ability to teach V2. This goes into greater depth concerning air power theory, sortie management, flight commanding, and instructional technique. Additional syllabus, such as All-Weather Intercepts/Beyond Visual Range and for pilots CQ (Carrier Qualifications) will most likely be necessary. The fast stream will most likely be over three months with the following timeline in weeks: 0 – 2: Pass and qualify as a V1 crewmember before end of second week, 2 – 4: Continue personal training and attend weekly operations, 2 – 5: Undergo V2 training, with deadline before end of fifth week, 6 – 9: Consolidation of V2 training, conduct flight lead and training, attain AWI/BVR and CQ qualifications, 9 – 12: Begin and complete V3 training before end of 12th week. Throughout this time, you will be mentored by experienced F-14 crewmembers who will provide guidance and assess your performance. This is a great and rare opportunity to take your hobby to the next level and have the responsibility of a full-sized squadron. If you are interested, and believe you meet the specifications, join our Discord, and message me, either on ED or on Discord. We’ll have an informal chat to ensure expectations are met on both sides.
