Hey there. I discovered that now, AI Tomcats will spread their wings when they startup from cold on the carrier (did not tried on land though). And of course, if you are on the slot beside them, you get crushed and damaged. Try the Mission 6 of Dominant Fury. It is the second mission in a row I have to pass because bugs will kill the progression ; well, I cannot even finish my damn startup !!! Get your stuff together ED, you are killing the game !!

This happened when I started up while on ground power. I had most of the systems on, then started the engine, disconnected the ground power and performed an INS stored heading alignment. Everything seemed normal so far. I took off, then tried to configure my DGFT and MRM override modes. The DGFT override mode just said "SMS OFF" on my MFD, but the MRM override mode worked normally. I toggled ST STA off, then on again, in NAV, then in DGFT override, and when I finally did that in MRM override, it got stuck in "SMS OFF" too. When I switched to A/A mode, it worked normally though. I landed, shut down the jet, restarted without ground power and the problem was resolved. However, that does not seem like a plausible malfunction to me, so I believe it is an implementation bug in DCS - or probably rather a design bug. It would make sense for the SMS to be either on or off, regardless of which mode is trying to access it. I guess for the simulation, that means you want something like a single bool sms_available somewhere, and not some 5 independent copies of it, so bugs like this one could not possibly happen. I will try to reproduce this same problem and possible solutions in single player and report in this thread what I found out. PS: Do we have an F-16 avionics specialist in here who knows enough details about the hardware and software design to comment on whether the SMS could ever show up as on/available in one mode and as off in another mode at the same time in the real aircraft?

I noticed this in MP a couple times. George is dead and head slumped over in F2 view, looks fine from the back seat, responds to slave request via voice, but doesn't move the TADS. I don't have a track replay or good way to replicate this. Just happens occasionally in MP.

Hello, Anybody else finding that it takes a considerable amount of time from when the radar finds a target to you being able to lock it up with TMS up? The radar shows the little white square with a line, but it takes like 10 seconds for me to be able to lock it up. Once the contact is a little white square I thought that means the radar has found it. Am I incorrect? Thanks

Flying the Baltic Dragon Dominant Fury missions, several missions require an “items check” where one flare and one chaff are dispensed from each aircraft in the element. My flares behave normally but all AI controlled Hornet’s flares shoot upward rather than downward. I don’t have a track but I can build one to demonstrate if it matters/would help. Thank you!

I was flying on a mission, we were shot and the radar altimeter failed, the display reading a static number. Because I would rather not be given false info I asked the CPG to turn off the radar altimeter. After he did so on his end, it was still enabled on my end, but instead the FMC Magtrim turned off. Sadly no track, as it's 270MB large. Testing with local server behaved as expected (radar altimeter turned off as designed). May be dedicated only, or might be related to the load, at the time I was running 12FPS.

After last update When the cannon is used by the pilot, we can no longer put the button manually on safety before landing. It stay on arm

FCR does not display datalink aircraft, it also doesn't display search targets (white dots). But if you press TMS UP (aiming the cursor via de FCR cursor mirror on HMS over a datalink target) and lock a target, it will bug a target and then show the appropriate symbiology and it will also STT. But if you are not lock at something, the radar just wont show anything. Edit: the datalink must have been the IFF OUT button. But wouldn't explain the missing white dots.

Hi, i noticed something strange and dont know if its correct in this way. Situation: left MFD = FCR , right MFD = HSD in DCPL-mode , steerpoint 1 in front of me and steerpoint 2 behind me 1. FCR in A-A, specific mode or steerpoint doesnt matter: Radar-range at 160, HSD on 15. Every time i switch the SOI between the mfds (by using DMS-down), the HSD-range goes step by step up to 120 (15 -30 -60 -120). HSD is not in CPL-mode! When i change the radar-range back to 5 and repeat the procedure, the HSD doesnt reduce its range. 2. FCR in A-G (GM-mode), range doesnt matter, Steerpoint 1 in front of me and steerpoint 2 behind me: HSD-range at 15, activ steerpoint 1 in 65 miles (north) in front of me. Switching the SOI by using DMS-down, the range goes step by step (15 -30 -60) up to 60 miles, until the waypoint is in sight. Switching to waypoint 2 (65 miles (south) behind me). When the waypoint ist not visible on the HSD, the range goes down to 15 (step by step). When the waypoint is in sight, nothing happens. If i change the direction of flight from north to south, the same happens, only vice versa. Is there any reason for this? Thx and greetings

need track replay FCR A-A EXP mode not properly centered.
WHOGX5 posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
If you have a target underneath your cursor and you enter EXP mode, that target should stay underneath your cursor. Currently when you enter EXP mode, whatever was under your cursor ends up at the dead center of the screen instead. NORM before switching to EXP: After switching to EXP: Expected EXP behaviour: -
On multiplayer in one session we've had a few instances of F-16s being invisible by clients, both in the render frustum and, strangely, on radar. AI units will react to them and you can see them firing on what appears to be nothing but an aircraft is audible and weapon effects and such are still visible. The only trackfile I have at the moment is extremely long.

I've seen the thread on Viper forum... Folks were all over the place on this one, from release angle and speed to laser but nobody mentioned target altitude or more precisely, the LAR not calculated correctly when target is at a few thousand feet of elev. and the release altitude is only 5, 6 thousand above the target, regardless of speed at release time. Someone on this forum already provided the tracks some time ago and hinted at target elevation as a factor. I made a quick vid to show the problem. The first 2 releases: the target located just above sea level. First bomb dropped from 40k feet at M.9 - direct hit. Second bomb dropped from 5k feet at... 294 kts - direct hit (in spite of my laser aim point drifting off and corrected just in time) Next 2 releases: the target elevation was 6070 ft. for both. First bomb dropped from 40k ft. at M.9 - direct hit. No surprises there, from this altitude the bomb had enough energy to maneuver regardless of LAR error (if any). Second bomb dropped from 12k ft. at 480 kts. - impacted way off! Drag or other parameters at alt.? I don't know

need track replay Apache shaking when spawned hot on ground
Mav87th posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
For some reason i experience intermediate shaking of the whole aircraft when i spawn into a hot Apache that is spawned to "ground" somewhere in the terrain. It's like it shakes, then stops, then starts again and it goes on and on and on as long as it is sitting on the ground with the throttle spooled up but no collective pulled in. Anyone else experience this? -
My friend and I both are having this issue persist and can not multicrew the Mi-24P without this issue presenting itself. The issue is, after activating the Raduga ATGM sight and the pilot maneuvers the helicopter around causing the sight to exceed gimbal limit, the sight will get stuck appearing that the aircraft is rolling. Despite this, the stabilizer will continue trying to stabilize the sight causing it to break more. Sometimes afterwards it is possible to "center" the sight enough to fire a missile though it is still very slanted. Occasionally, it will get bad enough that the sight will start clipping through something on the helicopter and looking basically 90 degrees downward in a position it would be impossible for the sight to look. Initially I thought it was something to do with a FAQ post "Why does my Raduga ATGM sight get stuck and I cannot center it? You exceeded the 60-degree gimbal slew of the sight. You must reset the Observe switch to reset it. If that fails, cycle the Raduga system power that will take 3 minutes to realign." but again the clipping aspect made it seem more than that and the suggested fixes didn't do anything outside of just closing the sight doors. We've had this issue on different maps and different issues. We both use trackir and use a joystick to move the sight around if that is relevant. I found this post from last year detailing the same issue with no real fix. I video taped two separate instances of this happening. Quick 2 min video with the bug. Ignore people talking about irrelevant stuff. Much longer video of the whole mission. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1aVDHia_lcddIYJDxCsZykEWJkEesExsb?usp=sharing Tracks from both videos as well as an additional third that wasn't captured on video.

need track replay Petrovich refuses to fire on second target
fargo007 posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
I'm seeing a couple times where Petrovich successfully engages a target (free fire mode) and then when a second target is found and selected, he says that he's engaging but never actually fires. Manually giving him fire auth and/or cycling hold/free has no effect. Anyone else encountering that? -
When in the 162nd multiplayer pve server Caucasus version 2 for stable server while flying the f18 hornet and calling inbound or the 10 mile see you at 10 the auxiliary radio will go to "M" or manual. Not sure if this is an issue with the server or a dcs bug. Very easy to re-create the problem. Also the ball will disappear then re-appear while in the groove. Also not sure if that is a server problem or dcs problem.

Have been practicing ACLS with a partner and I had no issues while he struggled to connect auto pilot near carrier. We both recently rebuilt/upgraded PCs and I did not redownload Tacview. I did this last evening and could not couple the auto pilot three consecutive attempts. I was curious if this was caused by Tacview, so I disengaged Tacview using the settings menu options in DCS and was successful on first attempt at case III ACLS mission. Anyone else have this issue? And is there a fix or a setting to get them to work together on the super carrier terrain setting….

I know that mirrors can cause stuttering/fps loss, however if I fly the HIP over densely forested areas with the mirrors on then stuttering/fps loss occurs, but, and here is the clincher, if I fly the HIND over the exact same area with those huge mirrors on, there is no stuttering or framerate loss at all. I would have thought the opposite would be true, but that's not the case.

Hello, I find an issue with the AH64 external fuel tank: On "Aircraft Fuel page", when selecting the "L Aux" or "R Aux" buttons: The selection is not checked. There is no link from the fuel tank to the main tank. And there is no fuel flow between the external and main tanks. Slyvenne

Was training with the HTS today and noticed my TGP had gone in to some unknown mode I hadn't seen before. Apparently it was slaved by the HTS, as expected, but all symbology was gone and in the lower half I saw the word "RATES". I could not slew it at all. I tried undesignating the HTS but TGP didn't change at all. Anyone else seen this?

The basic airframe appears to have too much drag. Atmosphere was set to standard. Caucasus map. OAT +15 deg. C. Aircraft was put in a 25 degree dive from 7000 ft at 300 kts. Aircraft would not accelerate past 400 kts. Barber pole increase to over 500 kts, but good luck ever getting close to that. It just seems to hit a wall and won't accelerate anymore. Once you start hanging stores off this thing, it becomes a total dog, and getting much over 250 kts becomes difficult. This of course, has rammifications for its maneuverability.

Hi, Whenever I radio call the KC135 to refuel nothing happens. KC130 works fine. When a friend uses his F14 with the KC135 he has no issues so wondering if this is broken or not compatible with the 18? I have only just started A2A refueling practice so not sure if the 18 works with the KC135? Ps this isn't the MPRS model with the boom. Thanks
