need track replay INS not working in F18 since update

Since the update 2.9 i noticed that my INS / GPS is not tuned well. After proper start-up with STD HDG etc (which normally works well for me) it does not align after flip the switch to IFA. It then suddenly lost its 'mind'. I waited for alignment of course and "OK" sign. So i cant fly on TACAN etc at the moment. -
Upon closer F-15E external view inspection: Pilot vibrates and landing gear lever constantly goes up and down. ERROR: Also No visual chaff and flares in F-15E, but subtitle says they were released:Disregard Countermeasures OK,incorrect mapping Everything else I've tried seems OK will try to provide track Pilot vibration .trk

Just fired up the viper and noticed two things. 1. AP ALT HOLD is not working. 2. ive got not betty voice in my ear for LOW ALT warnings or chaff/flare.

I am flying the second mission for the F-16C. One of the actual built in ones. I am to take off and then 4 - F16's are supposed to intercept 3 IL-76 transports and Mig 29's. I have tried sending commands to individual wingmen as well as the entire flight. Attack my Target when I had one targetted. Attack bandits and so on and not a single air to air missle is fired. I manage to shoot down both Mig-29's and two of the IL- 76's on my own and twice now enough time has passed that I have passed into range of a SAM launcher and get shot down as I am coming up behind the last transport to light him up with my 20MM guns. Any suggestions on how to get my wingmen to actually attack these transports etc?

need track replay DL13 SLAM and SLAM-ER Crosshair Movement

Not sure if this has been talked about, but when I am on target and DL13 screen is active, it's so hard to get the crosshair to move and stay in position. The DDI is SOI so I have control. TDC depress and try to move crosshair to pinpoint on target is a pain. I use the small joystick on my t16000 throttle. Has anyone got a better config or better way of doing this. Watch a load of Youtube videos but with no success. Might look at using tpod maybe. Any input would be great. -
Even though I have a Sidewinder on the rail Dogfight mode doesn't automatically select it. It used to, and I'm pretty sure it's supposed to. Cheers, Dr Spankle

So I ran exactly the same mission last night, so have been able to compare back to back. Scanning an SA2 site and then selecting the tracking radar, then engage..............George either missed completely several times, mostly with missile and terrain collisions or when he finally did shoot something he shot the wrong target, not the one I had selected, he did that multiple times. 1: General accuracy seems worse than last Beta version ( I was using the K model ) 2: George doesn't engage the target you selected when there is a group I can't imagine this is my imagination as it is the polar opposite of my experience in the previous version, which almost made me wonder if they were too accurate ?

No, I didn't attach a track. Jump into a mission like Foothold or Pretense or TTI. Something with a few dozen preset waypoints. Assign the appropriate waypoint as Bullseye if available or 1 higher than all the preset ones if possible. Now look at waypoint 25. Yup. IIRC, this bug has been around a long while. It's not usually a big deal, because by chance, wp25 will likely not be your task, statistically, but sometimes it is, and then you realize its lat/long is wrong. TIA

Don´t know if it´s a bug or me being stupid again but petrovic AI sometimes just doesn´t "locks" on to selected target, it says "in reach" when I select target from list, but crosshair wanders aimlessly around instead of being nailed to selected ground target. I can fire missile, but it never hits, because of wandering crosshair. Is this bug or intentional behaviour I´m completely clueless again. What confuses me, sometimes it works, petrovic sight (the "crosshair") is slaved to ground target and hits target when firing, and sometimes is not, instead it´s wandering aimlessly around. Playing in VR with MT preview.

This is not much of a problem in modern era missions, most kills are catastrophic. But for WW2, many shoot downs result in the AI crash landing where the pilot and a heavily damaged aircraft survive and are still present on the map. The airframe eventually disappears but the group still counts as active. When using a SPAWN command to generate the group, this results in the group never counting as destroyed to trigger the respawn.

Hello all. I wanted to see if anyone else has had the issues of TADS not being an option while in the CP/G seat. I've attempted to restart IHADSS and TADS with no luck. I've also had the issue of George not slaving targets when requested. It's random when he feels like it or not. When I hop in the front to do it myself, any buttons or switches I hit he un-does. Anyone else having these issues or have they already been addressed?

Uncontrolled AI startup on Ramp in the Sinai F-16s: I have used multiple aircraft in 2.8 Open Beta and set up each aircraft the same. I set up the same aircraft on Sinai's Ramon and Ben Gurion Airbases. Just to Start, Taxi, Takeoff, Fly waypoints, and land. My effort to provide some realism in my simulations. Every time I set up at Ben Gurion, the AI aircraft will function as advertised, but on Ramon Airbase, the aircraft starts but does not roll. The pilot keeps looking around. And at times in my efforts, it has worked, even when setting it up the same way. I create the Aircraft, Place it, Choose "Start On Ramp", and it adjusts itself to its parking spot, I tick the Uncontrollable box for the unit, Then navigate back down to choose arms, and then next tab over, I set up the Start Trigger. I then set the waypoints, with Landing being the last point, and go ReTick the Uncontrollable check box. Then I go to the Trigger Screen, Create the ONCE, and Name it, with a Condition of Time Over by 30 seconds. Then I go to the third window and associate the correct trigger from the correct unit for this trigger (Usually when testing, only one anyway). Straightforward. Works at times and not at others. My thoughts are behind the scenes, out of site; it is putting together a LUA script by what we tick and type—putting this into a Script File. Is there something I need to make sure I go in the correct order to ensure this works 100% of the time? And yes, I retick Uncontrollable every time, I know that is infamous. Strangely, the aircraft "usually always" starts, so it is triggered, but the aircraft does not roll to a taxi. Does not move. Yet I have set it up exactly how I set up the aircraft at the other base (Ben Gurion). I also have made sure that the correct coalition is correct. Both of these bases are Israeli, and both I use Israeli F-16s. I have found that it has nothing to do with the aircraft. I have tested with what order I set up and made sure I name everything. Nothing seems to change the situation, and sometimes it works unbelievably. I am using OpenBeta. Ramon Airbase is smaller but has a full-service ILS, etc. The taxis appear wide enough, and using a Player Aircraft, it works fine. And sometimes, I have gotten it to work. Once it works, it works. So I am very puzzled. Is anyone else having this problem? Can anyone who does this setup frequently add anything to what I am talking about? The DCS World PDF really does not give a step-by-step on this setup. It provides what the selections and tabs are for, but nothing sequential or instructive. Very strange. There could be one thing I am missing. Thanks for any help to allow me to understand exactly what the process is or why it is not rolling. That is what is key. It is triggering but not taxing. Are Airbases only built for particular aircraft is that it? Is the AI saying, Hey, you are trying to fly an F=15 at Ramon AFB, which is a No-Go?

Running the latest DCS open beta version (using MT) and finding when I run some of SP instant action missions for the WW2 aircraft (such as spitfire, P47 or Mustang) and over Normandy map seem to be getting almost no ground/flak fire even when I fly right over the enemy (german) positions? (even thought in dogfights the enemy aircraft are firing) - just wondering what might be causing this and if there is a setting I need to change to get this working properly?(AI level for example)

I wanted to share this article from a real apache pilot and instructor. I've always thought and said that the flight model was absurd and very out of touch with reality compared to all the other modules, clearly a lot of people in here don't see a problem with it and it seems like normal behavior to them. I quote a passage from what this former pilot says about the flight pattern: "When I first tried this model, I found it almost impossible to fly. It rolled over almost immediately shredding the rotor blades. This was the day after a flight in a real Apache, so I'm certain I didn't forget how to fly them in the 18 hours or so between real flight and sim” Yes , a bit of a "rant" post, but I want to tell all the people wondering what they are doing wrong that the answer is "nothing" because the flight model must be largely correct.

try to select any tacan freq, put TCN on hsi, T/R on ded but distance never appear in top left of hsi......

I am an experienced DCS pilot and so are all the people I fly with. To a man, we all have issues with being able to control the jets with any kind of crosswinds when taking off and landing. Its like trying to control a shopping trolley with a broken wheel, I also fly with several RL pilots who ALL say that its completely unrealistic.... What prompted my post was a mission we flew this morning with a fairly hefty crosswind at the base. One of our formation of 3 crashed on take off after getting into an uncontrollable oscillation, the other 2 were very lucky to get airborne without making contact and two of us crashed on the runway after landing at the end. Its crazy..... Tried various things, such as rudder curves etc, but the issue persists..... Can anything be improved with this?

When flying the Huey and Viper and L101, no doubt many others, the electronic glideslope transmission range in the Caucus map and NTTR map can only be received around approximately 15 nautical miles. As a real world pilot that flies internationally from time to time, this is not like any other glideslope transmission that I have ever seen. In Australia usage of ILS is authorised within 25nm and 35 degrees of the LLZ unless specifically limited due to terrain. In fact, coming in to both capitol cities and smaller locations you can at least see ILS indications albeit with their associated false nodes well into typical VHF transmission range. Be great if this could be fixed up.

For the last days i began to see this weird thing in external F2 cam.. the pilot would remain in some point of the cat launch animation. Usually it will go with the hand in the tower rack for the entire flight.. but i have also seen the hand in half salute position when when this happens i checked with other players (multiplayer servers) and they can see my pilot in this position as well..theirs are fine and i can see they normal too

I went on a popular multiplayer server to play in multicrew with a friend today, but seem to have run into an issue where the tail and rest of the helicopter part ways with each other at random moments during the multicrew flight, leading to a dramatic demise. Issue happened two flights in a row while flying below 100 feet.

After I loaded AH64 with mix of L and K hellfires, the Reaper JTAC will not follow setup from ME: I've set the JTAC to use laser, but he (well, Wags) insists on using IR pointer. Daylight mission, and I can not see it. Same mission worked before the addition of Limas. Wut? How? Bug?

cannot reproduce and missing track file TPOD target deselect

Is anyone else having problems deselecting targets with the tpod? Waypoint designate works fine for waypoint to waypoint. but going from waypoint designate , deselect, then trying to manual target using velocity select is a crab shoot for me. -
I just had a weird thing with HMD on an MP server. It would always turn on with 'IN TEST' message followed by alternating grids/triangles etc. going on and on without stopping. I landed, did a full shutdown and startup, the issue did not fix itself. I could not find anything in BIT or HMD screens to stop that. And I did not want to respawn or restart DCS for not to lose my scores. This was the first time it ever happened, not sure how to replicate it. But it was annoying. What was that?
