As per the title. Distant LOD model shows the canvas tilt removed, which suddenly appears once you get closer. A minor issue of course, but I couldn't see it reported yet.

The F-5E in DCS, when clean, has an angle of attack at full aft stick of approximately 21° when gun ammunition is loaded, and approximately 25° when the guns are empty. Based on the public sources I've found, these are too low; capability should be approximately 30° (presumably with guns empty). The paper here https://arc.aiaa.org/doi/10.2514/3.45660 concerns the departure characteristics of the F-5E and the means by which an impending departure could be detected and the pilot warned. This section (found at the top of the second page) states that pitch acceleration follows stick position up to about 30 degrees, at which point further pitch up is prevented by the aircraft's aerodynamic stability. Fig. 7 also supports this - it shows time history of various flight parameters during an extended full-aft stick stall. The angle of attack can be seen as approximately 30 degrees for the majority of the time, further increasing to 40 degrees at the onset of post-stall gyration. (It should also be noted that the DCS F-5E shows little tendency toward PSG in this regime) An additional source for the F-5E's AOA capabilities is this NASA report regarding the development of the "shark nose" used in the F-5E and F-5F. https://ntrs.nasa.gov/api/citations/19790001876/downloads/19790001876.pdf . This report mostly concerns the F-5F, but also includes some F-5E data. Figure 6 shows flight data for 1g power-off stalls for the F-5E - the charts are more difficult to read, but they do show similar AOA tendencies of 30 degrees at full aft stick, and up to 40 degrees upon departure. I've attached a track in DCS attempting to replicate these tests by performing an extended wings-level 1g stall with guns unloaded. Upon full application of aft stick, the AOA remains between 25-26°, never approaching 30. F-5 1g stall test.trk

reported De-ice check light on has missing button texture
virgo47 posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
The de-ice check (right console hidden under IFF) light is dark when not lit, but its "body" disappears when the light is on. Only the glow is visible: Happens in both variants.- 1 reply

Hi people, I don't have a trackfile and I'm not sure how to reproduce, but I experienced a weird problem yesterday. I was flying on the Sinai Grayflag server, carrying GBU12 bombs and ATFLIR to do the targetting. I drop all but two GBU12. Everything went just fine but at some point I had to refuel. I landed on an airbase (St Catherine), asked to refuel/rearm. The base ressources were empty so I didn't load any new weapons. Then I took off and went to the operation area, but when I tried to select the GBU12 (82LG on the SMS page), nothing happened. Actually I could see it did something because "step" appeared on the DDI, but I couldnt do anything more (EFUZ, CODE etc.) Attached is the DDI screenshot. Unsure if it's related but at some point in the same flight, my AG radar display in GMT mode was diagonally crossed (the cross was slowly blinking).null nullI know it'd be more helpful with a trackfile but if someone experienced the same issue I'd be interested.

reported Crash after two arty target and deletion
Frigondin Duglu posted a topic in Bugs and Problems

The heading indicator should have four fixed markers at 0, 180, +45 and -45 positions, allowing for precise orientation of the compass card. They are missing in DCS. You can spot them on every real cockpit photo of the instrument.

Triggering conditions:Within 6NM of the target, the airborne radar is turned on and the radar does not create a tracking file. F18 AIM7.trk This problem only occurs when F18 uses FLOOD mode, so do not submit the weapon vulnerability section.

The Ramon Airbase ATC is not responding at 39.900 MHz. Communication via 251.500 MHz and 119.200 MHz works as intented. Tested with A-10C II SN A-10C-II Ramon-ATC-Comm.trk and F-14B SN F-14B Ramon-ATC-Comm.trk. I'm not sure if there are similar issues with other ATCs, I've only tested it with the Ramon Airbase ATC.

Hey Polychop Devs! the update to the gazelle minigun has been cool so far. one feature i am amazed by is the sound effects for the Minigun Position. Sounds and feels like the real thing! How Ever when going into External Views (F2, Chase View, etc) the sound effect is vastly different from the gunner position to extend that it sounds like something other than a Minigun. Also disparity of the sound when heard in the Pilot & Copilot Position in MULTICREW, it doesn't sound anything like the amazing sound effect found on the gunner position.. Future Resolution please!

I'm not entirely sure if this is a "bug," but it confuses me to say the least. One of the voiceover lines english Petrovich (who is generally awesome, btw!) uses when he misses an ATGM shot is to shout "Missile, MISSILE!" To me, this sounds much more like a warning for an incoming missile than something I'd expect my CPG to say if he misses his own shot. Is this functioning as intended or is this a mistake? Thanks! A simple test mission is attached, including my track file. To replicate simply have Petro shoot at the trucks and fly like a drunken fool so he misses Here's a video demonstration as well: mi24_bugvoice.miz MissileMissile.trk

reported U22/A Pod incorrect MOTVERK indication (2 issues)
Snappy posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
In the current latest version, after the big update, the U22/A pod doesn't seem to indicate correctly. In mode A ( silent recording) the MOTVERK light should flash to indicate signal recording . This doesn't happen. The light stays out. In mode B-E (active emitting) MOTVERK light should illuminate steadily (same as it does with older U22 pod) when the aircraft is illuminated from the front by radar and the pod is actively jamming. This doesn't happen. Instead the MOTVERK light now flashes in MODES B-E , when the pod is jamming. I attached a short track and its related mission file which demonstrates both issues. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- U22Ajam.trk ShipJam2.miz- 1 reply

Pilot SAI Cage Knob, command for adjusting reference symbol not working(LMB) Pull to cage /(MW) Adjust aircraft reference symbol A DCS-BIOS user reported a problem not being able to adjust the aircraft reference symbol. In DCS-BIOS this control is split up to two different controls, one for pulling the knob, the other for adjusting the reference symbol. "PLT_SAI_CAGE" & "PLT_SAI_PITCH_TRIM" In the AH-64D clickabledata.lua the command is listed as 3002. Changing this to 3004 made the command work again. I also tested this directly again DCS API and 3002 was dead whereas 3004 work. But looking at the -- Standby Attitude Indicator elements["pnt_619"] = default_button_axis(CREW.PLT, _("SAI Cage Knob, (LMB) Pull to cage /(MW) Adjust aircraft reference symbol"), devices.SAI, sai_commands.CageKnobPull, sai_commands.CageKnobRotate, 620, 619) it clearly states the command is 3002. (sai_commands in commands_def.lua) What am I missing? edit: Is the CageKnobRotate and CageKnobRotate_ITER doing the same thing?

reported S-300 has no mobile search radar
Buzzer1977 posted a topic in Ground AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
The S-300 (SA-10) units lack a mobile search radar, so a S-300 site isn't mobile. All other necessary units are movable, like the LID-B tracking radar. Would be nice to have a mobile search radar to reinforce SAMs in game. -
Wanted to report this some time ago cause it really rips my ears, so when throttle is pushed to all the way to mil power when it hits the AB wall there is no sound but when its pulled back there is a sound that should be there when it hits that wall. Further more when it goes over to AB it will make the sound it jumped over but when it is pulled down from AB to mil there is no sound. F-16 throttle mil power stopper klick sound.trk

Loadout 4xGBU12, Litening. Steps to reproduce: -Set DTOS mode -Designate a point with TMS up (i did it via HMCS) -DMS down for TGP SOI. -TMS right (area track) to ground stabilize -ICP 7(Mark) -TMS UP x2 to create mark. -press 0(M-SEL) to select that mark as active STPT -dobber RTN to exit Mark mode. -NWS to switch to CCRP -TMS down to CZ Here the TGP will CZ to the previous waypoint and not to the active one. Workaround: Make SOI a different sensor (FCR, HSD) change waypoint then CZ should behave correctly again.

Hey @6S.Duke! I was binding the buttons of my new throttle system and I ran into a bug with the engine starter binding: apparently there are "different action with identical descriptions". I'm attaching a screenshot. You can't bind a physical button to the first entry, and if you bind it to the second, it doesn't work. Hoping that ED will make a hotfix to last patch, could you please fix this bus ASAP? Thank you!

Hello. Hornet, when creating in the ME 14 WP or more, at least what i have done and naming the waypoints at the end like, POP UP, Runway, SA-6. (The last two are targets) All the waypoints will get those 2-3 names at random. I have created a new miz from scratch, just did it. Only single hornet and SA-6, nothing else. null null Waypoint Bug.trk bug.miz

What do you think about canopy effects and DDIs? Personally I liked the previous texturing better. The current texturing lacks definition and does not offer the graphic quality to which we are accustomed. I had to edit the initial message because someone on the team misinterpreted this as a wish.

reported Wings rip off with passing through wake turbulence
Shik posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
I was able to duplicate this pretty consistently using the 1v1 SU30 BFM Mission on the persian gulf. It is easiest to replicate by getting into a flat scissors but I have also duplicated it by a close overshoot. I was also able to "solve" the issue by turning off wake turbulence. Attached are two track files showing the wings coming off and one track file with wake turblence turned off where you can see me make it through no problem. Also included tacviews of the two tracks where I lost my wings. WingsOff2.trk NoWakeTurbulence.trk NoWakeTurbulence.trk Tacview-WingOff2.acmi WingsOff.trk
