Dear Everyone, We are proud to invite you all to join our upcoming event in the next ten days to commemorate Aerospace Day and celebrate the 78th anniversary of the Indonesian Air Force. The event is "10 DAYS WAR - Operation Desert Fury" and you can find the guidelines here Guide Here There are 2 Official DCS Modules awaiting you, featuring the best PVP and Ground Attack categories. These parameters will be calculated using the DCS Bot. Let's invite your friends along and make this event a memorable one! Sincerely! Forum Discussion
  2. In the area around Gazipasa and the area between Gazipasa and Incirlik, the ground textures suddenly change and become extremely low resolution. This is a populated part of the map with roads, villages, named towns and electrical grid so the low resolution textures are probably not intentional. See attached pictures. Example of the very jarring texture change, detailed villages and roads can be seen in the "low-res" texture area. The cut-off line where low-res textures begin is marked with red
  3. Hello folks, I would like to link / post the mission Kumru here. It is a low-level Snake Eye strike. The goal was to create a simple, beginner-friendly mission with voiceovers based on realistic phrases (the voiceovers are computer-generated and edited with Audacity). The biggest challenge in the mission is flying low to the target (below 400ft. AGL), dropping the bombs and, if necessary, evasive maneuvers. The mission was created with flags and triggers. Without mods or scripts. I am looking forward to your feedback ! One question: Does the Turkish Air Force use Nato brevity in their missions ? I have oriented myself to UK phraseology for this mission. __________ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3335794/

Successful attacks on Soviet logistics including the port of Latakia and the train depot at Raqqa have hampered their advance. At long last they have organized their forces to launch an attack against Palmyra and its oil fields, the main target of their forces. Soviet troops are attacking over the mountains north of Palmyra, but the main thrust of their attack is a large tank force from the East from Deir ez-Zur. They have heavily shelled from the mountains to the North of Palmyra damaging much of the city including the ancient Roman monuments. Unlike in Deir-ez Zur, Syrian troops have been mobilized in large numbers and are prepared to defend against the attack. However, the Soviets have learned from their mistakes and this time have brought SA-6's along with the SA-8/13/15s and Shilkas. They have also timed their attack to coincide with remnant cloud layer from the storm several days prior that will force allied aircraft into the threat rings of those SAM systems. USAF crews have been flown into nearby Tiyas AFB and are capable of rearming and refueling aircraft. 555 Objectives CAS of advancing Soviet armor from the East. You will need to use LGBs or Mavs to stop them. 224 Objectives Primary: SEAD of SA-6 and to remain on station looking for mobile SA-8/13/15s Secondary: CAS of troops advancing from north. 492 Objectives Primary: Established air supremacy over Palmyra (CAP) Secondary. Find and Bomb artillery positions. Note: It would be useful to have a JTAC or someone coordinating ground strikes in this mission. A10s or Apaches could also do this.
  5. Good afternoon everyone, Just wanted to let everyone know about a new mini-campaign for the best helicopter in DCS. I'm creating this thread for any feedback, bug reports, etc. because I don't get notified on new Comments in the User Files. The summary: In April of 2022, a Brazilian journalist has been kidnapped near the Ba'ath Dam. You've been hired by a Private Military Company to provide helicopter support and transport to help locate and rescue the journalist. The campaign has full voiceovers with kneeboard pages. It's not meant to be a difficult campaign. As long as you can start up, take off, and land the Huey in FARP-sized landing areas, it will be fine. The difficulty ramps up through the 4 missions, however. If you're interested, here's a link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3334386/ Thanks, and fly safe!
  6. After several weeks of work and a lot of testing support from the community, we're ready for our live test of the new event format this weekend. Tempest's Blueflash Curated PVPVE Campaign. The sister server of Enigma's Cold War is back with version 3. This evolution moves away from the real time dynamic scripting in favor of a curated, hand crafted multi map/multi mission campaign that begins in the Persian Gulf with a battle for Dubai and territorial control and will initially stretch across Syria and Sinai as either side advances through completion of various, tailor made objectives. Both fixed wing and rotary craft have been considered and catered to with a variety of missions within each scenario that will see each team co-ordinate to attack and defend front lines, strategic locations and valuable assets. There is something for everyone from CAP to CAS, deep strikes and Naval Operations, with more planned later down the road. You can find more detailed information within the FAQ. The community is mostly Discord based where you can ask questions, provide feedback and make suggestions. Click here to Join Keep an eye out on lore and the announcements channel in there for more details and features to come. Including a unique player based economy that will be implemented (soonTM) Also since this is a live open beta test of the new mission please feel free to post in our #Feedback-and-Discussion and #Bug Report channels if you come across any issues. Good hunting!
  7. Announcing the release of Alpha Station : Chapter One Alpha Station UNITED STATIONS QUICK REACTION FORCE In 1978, the United Nations created a quick reaction force able to respond to crises around the world in minimal time. Though due to the large number of flare ups in the Middle East, this force was established to handle conflicts anywhere. Many countries donated equipment and manpower to the cause, but a few nations saw the opportunity to contribute to a cause able to potentially stop hostilities before they flared into regional affairs. These countries, the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany, donated the bulk of the larger equipment. The United States in particular donated several smaller aircraft carriers and the aircraft to staff them as well as two full air transport units The force was designated as the United Nations Quick Reaction Force and fell under control of the UN Secretary General and the Security Council. The force was assembled in Southern Turkey due in large part to the available training area, but also because there was a good chance that would be relatively close to their first action. A large influx of supplies and equipment have been flowing to the training centers at Incirlik and Gazipasa. Unfortunately most of the donor nations haven’t had time to repaint their donations so the individual QRF units are working to repaint and remark their units as able. The personnel in the UN QRF are taken from military units among all UN members. Preference was given to aircrew, ships crew, maintenance and other specialty skills. Pay is still handled by service members military branches. Your unit is the 2nd Tactical Strike Squadron. Currently you are split between Gazipasa and Incirlik but you and a handfull of others were selected to operate out of Gazipasa. As your unit develops its procedures, it was generally agreed that US Navy procedures would be a base as everybody is familiar with them. Ground crews and other agencies are filled out from member nations so you may experience a variety of different nationalities as you serve. Beginning your assignment, this will basically be a wring out as everybody gets used to operating together and checking out your equipment. Everybody in your unit has flown the A4 for a while, but you are the only one to be operating aircraft you were actually assigned to. ……….. Stage One of the campaign will be ramp up and getting your feet under you…for Stage Two. There are several scripts enabled within each mission : MOOSE - ATIS and AIRBOSS, MIST for Target Information Tracking Script (TITS), splash damage script. There are reminders on each mission, but for all these scripts to run properly, when the role select screen is presented, press ESC to make the menu go away, then again to go ahead select your role. If you have never used TITS before, spend some time on Mission 5 getting acquainted with the menus before hitting the range your first time. You are able to specify targets for designation by the range controller . They will fire a smoke rocket, if requested, that will be near your requested target. You will also get target elevation information. Prior to engaging your target, select ROLLING IN off the range menu otherwise the controllers will be angry with you and you will not get drop results. You may select OFF TARGET after each pass to get results for each pass or when you are all done with your range time to get a full result list. If you have never used AIRBOSS before, do the same thing prior to Mission 13. There are a number of controls you can activate within the menus, but for basic pattern and landing you won’t be required to do anything. The F10 menu for AIRBOSS replaces the stock ATC menu. You can contact Marshall inside 50 miles. You will receive Marshall stack instructions from the Marshall controller. You will get advisories along the way from the controller on stack positioning as well as when the carrier is beginning recovery activities if they weren’t already. Once you have worked your way down the stack and are starting your initial, change frequencies to the LSO controller for final instructions and landing scores. When departing off the carrier be tuned to the MARSHALL controller who will notify you of radar contact after launch and will then release you from control as you depart the area. If you are staying in the pattern select EMERGENCY LANDING prior to launching and you will be automatically sequenced into the downwind pattern by the LSO controller. LINKS HERE:: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/h4b5vd5mbz4k5uwrni1au/h?rlkey=anbtjhhef9wp0gccaxgmusit3&dl=0` I considered packaging them all together into one big Zip but, aside from being a VERY large file, I haven't looked yet into permissions etc from the mod creators. This is what you would call a Beta+ release. This is my first campaign and it was alot of work so I'm sure there's things I missed. I am totally open to any suggestions and bug reports. Be advised, this is NOT a teaching campaign, some knowledge of the aircraft and its systems are required to complete these missions...some more than others. 8. CURRENT VERSION: 2.9.A001a Updated Oct.25, 2023 DOWNLOAD LINK: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3331710/ 10 PERCENT TRUE: https://www.10percenttrue.com/ Welcome to Inherent Resolve, a DCS F-15E Strike Eagle Mission designed by Sedlo for the 10 Percent True Podcast. This is an Close Air Support Mission set on the Syria Map and can be played single-player or multi-crew. See Read_Me file in the included ,zip for more information. There are two versions of this mission inside the zip file. One is a Cold Start and the other an Air Start. The Air Start version puts you at the refueling track, full of gas and ready to take on any tasking you receive. It is recommended to fly the Cold Start Version first though, as you will receive more information about the mission. NOTE: If you are playing multicrew, it must be a locally hosted multiplayer session. Due to the complex triggers and scripts in the mission you cannot use the Dedicated Server. This mission is designed for players who are proficient in the DCS F-15E module and its weapons systems. Examples of challenges you may face include: • Basic aircraft handling, such as take offs and landings • Use of the various radio and navigation systems. • Air to Air Refueling. • Dynamic re-tasking in a fast-paced environment. • Use of the targeting pod and employment of weapons systems. (It is essential that you read and understand the included mission briefing documents AND the Read_Me file included in the .zip) In addition, familiarity with US military terms and abbreviations is helpful to understand what is going on in the flight. A glossary of useful terms is available at the end of Steve Davies’ excellent book Be Afraid of the Dark, which you can find in your DCS World ClosedBeta\Mods\aircraft\F-15E\Doc folder. NOTE: You MUST own RAZBAM’s F-15E Strike Eagle module and you MUST own UGRA MEDIA’s Syria Terrain in order to play this mission! ************* INSTALLATION: Unzip the contents of the download to your folder at Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Missions ************* MISSION OBJECTIVES Today’s mission (XR-352-P) has three main objectives: • Provide On Call CAS support in the southern Section of the AO from 06:30z to 09:00z. • Train with 93rd ARW out of Fairchild AFB, newly arrived in theatre. • Familiarization with Local area and AO procedures ************* WEATHER AND NOTAMS OVERVIEW A weakening high-pressure system overhead the southern AO will slowly give way to a warm front approaching from the Mediterranean. The Syrian Army has retreated to the Palmyra Army Depot and are expected to hold the base against the current Daesh attack. The Palmyra Army Depot is a suspected WMD storage area, and it’s in Syria’s best interest to secure these weapons from being compromised. The State Department and OGA have reached out to the Syrian leadership to offer assistance in securing the WMD but all offers have been declined. The COALITION partners have determined that WMD falling into the hands of DAESH is to be avoided at all cost. ________________________________________ The Russian Navy Task Force centered around t he Cruiser VARYAG is expected to make port at Tartus this afternoon. Refueling and replenishment operations are expected to take 12 hours. ________________________________________ RIVET JOINT has detected indications of a new SA-3 battery located at TYIAS airbase. 9. I believe this terrain surpasses all others in several aspects, including the damage model, scale, performance, and terrain details. It would be a fantastic addition if the developers consider charging extra for an expanded area that includes the South of Syria (up to Damascus), Jordan, and the western part of Iraq, including H3.
  10. Are there any land based gunnery and bombing ranges anywhere on the Syria map? Are there any on the Turkish part? What about sea based training zones?
  11. Dear all, first of all thanks for your time and attention, I apreciate it a lot. Last night I was flying a very simple miz when DCS crashed, any idea about it. Attached the log file and the track. Thanks in advance. dcs.logPRECUELA LUISPACAM v0.1-20221213-003714.trk
  12. Hi guys, First of all, IMPORTANT: THIS IS NOT MY WORK!!! I just converted it to the Mirage F1 and added some new features like Portable TACANs on the main airbases. 5 missions Mirage F1 Campaign on Syria Map. Did you ever want to play the bad guy? Well, here is your chance to slip into the role of "Desert Snake", a Mirage F1 pilot who will do anything necessary to defend his country and her allies against foreign disrespect. Set in a fantasy version of events around the 1970ies Syria region. This medium difficulty campaign will take you through most of the Mirage F1's relevant systems. During this 5-mission campaign, you will become proficient in radio navigation, air to air intercept and dogfighting, air to ground employing bombs and rockets. Also, it is fun to play the bad guys for a change. Available on User Files Download Campaign DL page. 13. Hello, I am posting here to let you know about an AH-64D campaign I recently finished creating. Feel free to comment with any feedback or problems you have, or a neat experience you had during one of the missions. Link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3323051/ "In this fictional campaign, Syrian forces have invaded and occupied the city of Palmyra and set up their main base of operations at the nearby airfield. Since then, they have rapidly pushed west and have taken control of several towns and oil refineries. You will play as an AH-64D pilot with a pivotal roll to play in stopping the Syrian invasion and, if you succeed, taking back Palmyra. Strap in for a variety of mission scenarios and objectives, from supporting friendly vehicles as they assault enemy positions to evading SAM launches while making a precision strike deep in enemy territory. If you pass a mission, friendly forces will attack during the next mission and attempt to push forward toward Palmyra. Your aircraft will start cold and you will have as much time as you want to prepare. If you fail a mission, enemy forces will attack and push toward your airfield at Tiyas during the mission that follows. Your aircraft will start hot and you will need to takeoff quickly to intercept the enemy. Each mission has four different preset variations of time and weather, along with some randomness in the amount, positioning, and skill of many units. If you have to replay a mission during the campaign, you may find it a bit of a different experience! The campaign includes 16 total unique missions, although if you only ever win missions and never go back a stage you will only see 7 of them. No radio manipulation skills are needed for this campaign, as you will only ever need to communicate with your wingman, and the radio will already be set up for that. However, expect challenging combat. Good luck pilot. Many lives are counting on you. REQUIRED MODULES: AH-64D, Syria Map"
  14. Hey I wanted to modify the beacon file for different maps and add some navaids. I wanted to ask what determines the "position line" I understand "position Geo" but what is the difference? 15. As part of a campaign we currently run in the 132nd Virtual Wing I've prepared this set of CombatFlite file and map to assist in better understanding of the complex theatre of Northern Israel and its borders with Lebanon and Syria. Living not too far away from that area and having a certain degree of personal familiarization with it I figured it might be nice to have a tool to provide a more realistic background of that area. The ZIP file contains a CombatFlite file with the following bits: 1) A more precisely plotted international border between Israel to Lebanon and Syria. The plot follows RL borderline more closely than the general border as given in the DCS world map. For the Israeli-Syrian border, both line "ALPHA" and line "BRAVO" are given with "UNDOF-ZONE" between them (The demilitarized zone established as part of the ceasefire between the two countries in 1974). The plot also includes a short portion of the Jordanian-Syrian border and the Syrian-Lebanese border. 2) Outposts belonging to the UN peacekeeping forces along the two borders. Those outposts are marked in the CF file and provide the location of the outposts as built in DCS (not fully following RL position but close enough , and as those outposts bare UN markings they can be quite useful for some interesting scenarios). The outposts are divided to UNIFIL ("United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon") and UNDOF ("United Nations Disengagement Observer Force") 3) Key terrain features including a few mountains on the Israeli side of the border as well as a few dormant volcanic mountains along the Israeli-Syrian border that - due to their tactical importance as vantage points - played a key role in previous conflicts. 4) Finally, a high-resolution 50mb map made out of DCS-World map overlaid with some labeling and markings aimed at assisting with the understanding of the area. A suggested method to get to know those features is to create s flight and a flightplan in CF from the enclosed file, export it into a MIZ file and just jump in and fly it/ DISCLAIMER - I do not claim this map and details are 100% true-to-life. It was done based on publicly available data and based on personal familiarization with the area. There are many other features and landmarks worth mentioning which I might add later on. Everything's in the file section, right here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3322170/ Have fun. Assaf
  16. Playing a mission on Syria, I dropped 4 JDAMs from my f-16 and right when the 4th impacted I got a crash to desktop. Log zip folder included. dcs.log-20220327-012658.zip
  17. I now gladly get to destroy the second-rate version I made a year ago out of general objects. Very nice job!
  18. I am writing a set of missions depicting a low intensity skirmish between two fictional small African nations. It will take place in the north of Cyprus, with multiplayer slots for two aircraft, and playable from Red and Blue sides (probably as 3 separate .miz files, red, blue and both). Blue have taken delivery of a small detachment of ex-Israeli AH-64Ds. Their orbat is a mix of new/old mostly western kit. They have no offensive fixed-wing assets Red are equipped with ex-soviet kit, with the playable units being the MiG-21 and the Mi-8 The scenario back story is as follows... Bluefor: Equatorial Mirumba, thanks to revenue generated by recent coastal oil reserve exploitation has begun replacing its older military hardware with small amounts of modern western equipment. The relationship with their Southern neighbour had always been frosty, but never hostile, however the recent coup and violent tendencies of Field Marshal Kijambiya are well known and a cause of real concern for President Mutello. The Mirumban Volunteer Army has increased border patrols and all forces have been brought to readiness. The newly delivered AH-64 gunships will prove critical to maintain the safety and prosperity of the people of Equatorial Mirumba. Redfor: Having secured power in a military coup, supported in large by the population of The People’s Democratic Republic of Kzama on promises of economic reform, Field Marshal Kijambiya casts an envious eye over their small but wealthy neighbour to the North. Feeling pressure to make good his promise and wanting to maintain momentum, Kzaman People's Army troops have been harassing Equatorial Mirumba's border patrols with sporadic skirmishes and intimidation. The Kzaman Peoples Air Force's small fleet of mostly outdated ex-soviet hardware is primed and ready for further operations into Equatorial Mirumba's sovereign territory. However, aware of Mirumba's recent spending Field Marshal Kijambiya is worried that any delays will only make the job harder, and possibly not achievable at all. It is now or never. Decisive action is required if the oil wealth of their rivals is to be seized. The first couple of missions will be ready as soon as the Apache drops, six total planned. I have also posted this in the Apache subforum but thought others might be interested from the redfor side.

  20. Hi friends, i do not know if anyone else has this issue with the Syria map. Unless one has a superhigh-end PC , the Syria map is for me almost not possible to use or design in in the mission editor, unless i run all settings in a low state. Unlike the other maps , this map requires a lot of memory and CPU and i almost regret buying it. The loading time is crazy long , let alone trying to populate the map in the editor ! All my other maps run great in medium to high settings and as a user i don't want to go lower then that of course. I wonder if anyone else have these issues too and/or have a solution. * PC: Intel genuine i7 , 16 GB DDR5, GeForce RTX 3060 12GB DDR6 Any suggestions welcome friends, Thanks in advance. RWC
  21. Considering some of us are users of the Syria map and want max realism, head's up of this The War Zone report... Figured this community would wanna know. The full article is worth of a read.

  23. "The Cedar and the Rooster : A Mirage Story" is a fictional story-based 10 mission campaign for the Mirage 2000C, fully voiced-over, taking place in the Middle East. Briefing doc and kneeboard available for each mission. Situation : February 1993. Despite the end of the civil war in 1990, Lebanon is remaining in a unsettled situation. Militias, directed undercover by Syria and Iran, are agitating the country. After heated discussions within the international community, France has decided to send 4 Mirage 2000s to ensure Lebanon air policing.
