Weathered cockpit

Recommended Posts

Belsimtek really did a great job on the texturing. There wasnt much to do for my personal likings.

So, just FYI; this is my own personal preferences of a bit more dirty and used looking cockpit I originally made for my self, which I have been begged to release. :P

Features:

- Headrest "leather" more scratched and worn

- Red colors faded a bit, whitening colors for worn look

- Oily dust accumulated in hard to clean places

- Light hydraulic/lubricant spillage from a few likely places

- Scratches various places

- Yellowed instruments

- Joystick HATswitch flaked, joystick and throttle scratched and dirtied up a bit more than stock.

- Text's worn out various places, and where I believe fingers might have been touching after a lot of flighthours.

Release:

Weathered Cockpit v1.1

Changelog

-V1.1

Made JSGME Friendly.

Tweaked a bit here and there.

Roughened up the three emergency switches on front right panel.

Made your seat look as if your ass has been thrown around there for years. ^_^

OR:

1. Go to Eagle DynamicsDCS WorldModsaircraftsF-86CockpitResourcesModelTextures

Thanks alot guys! ;)

Release is...... now.

@Skullleader, they are saved in DTX5

@IvanK, I'm not sure. I dont want to change it if its not realistic. Also, I have not looked yet but I dont believe the textures for it is in the cockpit folders, I dont think I have seen it. Do you know how it looks on the real f-86 model?

Release:

Instuctions:

Beautiful work, Mugaben! Looks great!

IvanK is correct, some Sabre models used a version of the AI without pitch markings, it only had the Climb and Dive and associated 90 degree markings. Here's what one looks like:

http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2133371&postcount=15

In the cockpit textures the 90 deg. pitch circles are on Texture 1 but I don't think the game uses them. The entire pitch ladder, including circles, is on Texture 2. This is what the game uses. The pitch lines would have to be removed but the 90 deg circles retained.

Of course I'll have to check this when I get home, I could be wrong. :music_whistling:

Everytime you want to replace textures that are stored in zip, the most easier way is to create a folder with the same name where the zip is and place the textures in it. ;)

Super, I've downloaded and installed your cockpit and WOW, it's just awesome

As for the other modules now the cockpit of the F-86F is really better and more realists.

And of course you have saved in DTX5 and for me it's perfect :worthy:

We know that the F-86F is Open-Beta and probably in the next patch BST release one new version of this cockpit and I would like to know if you think weathered the future pit of the Sabre ?

Once tested your cockpit it's impossible to use the original pit :wub:Congratulation and thanks again for your sharing.:drunk:

Thanks guys, did not expect anyone would like it really. Means a lot to me knowing it is, and that it's being used!

@Skull - If they change anything in the cockpit in future releases of the Sabre it wont be any trouble for me at all to update it.

@Jocko417 - Thank you. I might give this a try and see what happens.

Again, thanks everyone! I'm really glad you like it.
