[RESOLVED] AGM-65F won't lock targets at night

This was previously reported but the previous AGM-65F reports have been merged into a single thread and marked as resolved.

The AV-8B's AGM-65F continues to be unable to lock targets at night.

While the Hornet works correctly.

Attached are two tracks one using the AV-8B and the other the Hornet.

Notes:

• The AV-8B track desyncs near the end with the IRMAV crosshairs no longer aligning with the target(s), you can take control at that point and retest.

• The IRMAV will not slew independently of the TGP while the TGP is displayed on the RH MFD even if SS Forward is used to cycle from INS to IRMV (this is a change in behaviour).

• AFAIK the Hornet IRMAV crosshair "judder" at the end of it's track is a known bug.

• I'm pretty rusty in both aircraft so work flow in both tracks is slow/poor but you can use fast forward (LCtrl+Z) to speed up the tracks.

Still can't lock, though.

Good to know, with discord reports that it's working/user error, I was beginning to doubt myself.

Again, will move this to resolved as it IS AS INTENDED. The dev team have investigated the issue thoroughly and have not been able to find a fault. However if you have a separate issue concerning the slew in TDC and switching ti MAV mode then please make that as a separate post with a trk and we will investigate.

As it has been stated before. The locking logic for the 65F requires the crosshairs to be centered on the center of the #D object you are attempting to lock because the DCS engine does not work on contrast like the real thing, it works on asking the game if its at the center of a target and locks there.

Just to update, i found out not 5 minutes ago that the behaviour experienced will change on the next update so standby for the next drop.
