Hi, I'm trying to make a ejection handle for my A-10C. What is the best way to send the command to DCS-Bios? I have used the sendDcsBiosMessage command, but i don't know the argument I need for the ejection handle. Is there a possibility to send keybinds?

I don't understand how the F-35 is going to replace the A-10.

Been away from DCS for many years but recently got back into it a bit. Been learning (relearning?) the A-10C and was trying to get the ILS system to work while loading up the "landing" and "night landing" instant action scenarios. Both are set at Kobuleti. Tried many times without getting the ILS, supposedly at freq. 111.50MHz, to work (TACAN is working though). After looking up a few online guides I noticed they do the exact same procedure, but in their screenshots/videos the ILS was working as expected. They were not using Kobuleti though. I thought this was suspicious so I set up a similar scenario at Batumi using the mission editor, and I instantly got the ILS working.

Great mission and a good challenge. Have struggled at bit but eventually I have made it trough. What I like with this mission is that you need to plan how you employ your weapons, how you assign your wingman and fuel management. I have one question on how the mission ends. After the chopper have picked up Shaefer, you are asked to remain to provide cover for the chopper as it departs 'indian territory'. The chopper will then warn Dodge 2-1 (the player) of some armed footpedals by a mosque. I have to wait long time for the chopper to give me that message. 10-15 minutes while the chopper was just hovering. It seems like the trigger is when you have around 1000 pounds of fuel left. Is that the trigger for this action? In that case it is very tight both for the player and then wingman and I have to divert to backup airbase flying on fumes, while sending my wingman back to base before the chopper ask for cover. In that case, what triggers your permission to RTB. Do you need to take out the footpedals? In any case I had to RTB without permission and only recieved a 70 percent completion of the mission. I have seen a walktrough on YouTube ('Nobody') and it seems that he get that communication quite quick and it doesn't seem that he need to do something to get permission from the chopper to RTB. Any tips on how to finish this last trivial part of this mission and still have enough fuel to get back to base? Edit September 8: Have completed the mission six times now. Same problem. Chopper with Shaefer exits area to slow, an extremely slow hover out of the area, and player and wingman risk running out of fuel covering. This is the A-10C version, not the A-10CII version of the mission. Seems like a bug.

Followed A-10C real Manual and DIRECT Steering mod not working at all. Same BUG found on A-10C II. Manual says: HSI course deviation indicator indicates deviation from course computed by CDU from the aircraft position at the moment DIRECT was selected to the selected steerpoint; or, when DIRECT is the selected steer mode, the course from the aircraft position when a new steerpoint is selected to the new steerpoint. When 3D mode is selected, ADI glideslope indicator indicates vertical deviation from a line connecting the aircraft position at the moment DIRECT was selected, or a new steerpoint is selected, to the selected steerpoint (computed vertical angle) or manually entered vertical angle. In the DIRECT and 2D mode (Figure 1-55, sheet 2), horizontal guidance is provided to a line passing through the aircraft location at which DIRECT was selected to the current steerpoint; or if DIRECT was selected and a new steerpoint is selected, to the line passing through the point at which the new steerpoint was selected to the new steerpoint. In the DIRECT, 3D, and COMPUTED mode (Figure 1-56, sheet 2), vertical guidance is provided to a line at the vertical angle determined by the line passing through the aircraft location at which DIRECT was selected to the current steerpoint; or if DIRECT was selected and a new steerpoint is selected, by the line passing through the aircraft location at which the new steerpoint was selected to the new steerpoint. In the DIRECT, 3D, and ENTERED mode, vertical guidance is provided to a line passing through the current steerpoint at the manually entered angle.

Lead and second (myself) working targets at night over Cyprus. Clean up operations after a successful campaign. Teamwork and coordination. View full screen, to remove any white space or bright borders, can see detail better. When milsim, and teamwork create a great session.

Hey there, does anybody know when the campaign Persian Freedom for the A-10C II is going to be available on Steam?
-
To All Agile Spear Aircrew, If you need them, the campaign documentation is now available in the User Files section of DCS World at: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3322224/ However, the installation instructions SHOULD state to install them to: Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\campaigns\Agile Spear\ Ultimately, it doesn't really matter where you put them as long as you can get to them when you need them. Thanks again and I hope you are challenged and have fun flying the campaign, John

Hello Fellow A-10 Pilots, I know that Mission 3 has created headaches for a number of people. I'm pretty sure I've fixed the problem(s) and I've decided to offer it gratis for download via Google Drive at: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/muyn8m3hpmgka4s/AAD5nZRvn8qBW8ACK_7CxgE3a?dl=0 I've included the A-10C and A-10C II Tank Killer versions so everyone can fly it. Download one of the .miz files and place it in your \Users\Your_Name\Saved Games\DCS\Missions folder. Then, start DCS World, select Missions and then start the mission. PLEAE let me know if you have any problems with it. Yours, John

Hello Everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that I've seen a number of issues which have developed since I posted the campaign for upload to the eShop four months ago and I will be actively troubleshooting and testing to correct these problems. I ask for your patience and that you bear with me as it will take a week or two to go through all 16 missions in the campaign and correct the problems and then re-submit for upload to the eShop. Thanks again for your patience, John

Looking for a squadron with weekly campaign missions, realistic IADs, a great community to hang out in, and place to learn your aircraft? https://tvalhalla.com Join Us on Discord! Task Force Valhalla was founded as a place for DCS members to fly together in realistic, coordinated operations while minimizing the milsim nature of most DCS squadrons. While we do have ranks, they are solely tied to the proven proficiency in your airframe, and our squadron commanders are chosen by community vote for their dedication in their airframe. We try to democratize as much as possible in the Task Force and have representatives from all squadrons provide input and vote on any changes that affect everyone. We'd like to think our missions are unique, and we hope to get more active mission makers to increase the storytelling and depth available to our members. We currently use HighDigitSAMs integrated with Skynet-IADS in all of our missions, and implement realistic ROE and border patrols. We try to flesh out the ground environment as much as time allows and are experimenting more and more with voiced AIs! Currently we're midway through our first campaign, which is a police action in Georgia as Ossetian and Abkhazian forces attempt to obstruct the construction of a new pipeline in Georgia and unify as the Alanian Republic. Our campaign nights are FRIDAY, 9PM CST with briefing ramping up 30 minutes beforehand. We also have weekly scheduled training nights every Monday at 9PM CST. We just have a few basic requirements to join • Must be 18 years old to join • Must own the F-16, AJS37 Viggen, A-10CII Tank Killer, or Mirage 2000C OR be willing to own LotATC if you'd just like to GCI. • To fly in weekly ops, we require all members to pass a basic type rating in their chosen aircraft. This basically boils down to being able to takeoff, navigate, use the aircraft's most basic weapons, and land. Most people that have been flying the aircraft for about a week should be able to at least stumble through it successfully and you'll have someone who will help you through it. We're more than happy to train you even if you've never flown the module before or are new to DCS! • We have no attendance requirement, but we do require you to RSVP every week to let our dedicated mission makers have an accurate head count so they can tune the campaigns properly. 93rd Tactical Fighter Squadron "Outriders" Commander: Capt. Hex Director of Ops: M. "D20" Shepard Roster Limit: 18 Slots Available: 2 The 93rd Outriders were founded in September of 2020 as an offshoot of Carrier Strike Group 8, comprised of pilots that were looking to fly in Air Force operations with the F-16. The 93rd specializes in SEAD, DEAD and precision strike missions. We currently have 12 pilots on active roster and are always looking for more! 357th Fighter Squadron "Wyverns" Commander: Capt. R. Greyson Director of Ops: Vacant Roster Limit: 12 Slots Available: 4 The 357th Wyverns were founded in October of 2020 shortly after the 93rd. Much could be said about the 357th, but primarily it specializes in BRRRRRTing and supporting our allies armored divisions on the ground. We currently have 10 pilots on active roster and are looking for 2 more highly active individuals to fly weekly with us! 332nd All-Weather Fighter Squadron "Valkyries" Commander: Capt. Kora "Kortana" Director of Ops: N/A Roster Limit: 6 Slots Available: 0 - Recruiting Closed The 332nd Valkyries was founded by our fearless head of mission making Kortana in an effort to bring the joys of Mirage-ing to the masses. There was a noted gap in American time zone based communities for the Mirage and Kortana saw an excellent opportunity to put together a squadron for her favorite aircraft. Although aging and simpler than the F-16, the 332nd has been providing accurate and aggressive CAP for Task Force Valhalla with minimal losses. In the future we expect the 332nd to include the Eurofighter on it's release. F10 Angelholm "Ragnerok" Commander: Capt. K. Sakhir Director of Ops: Capt. R. "Bean" Green Roster Limit: 9 Slots Available: 0 - Recruiting Closed F10 Ragnerok brings the Viggens to a American friendly time zone and is Task Force Valhalla's surprisingly fastest growing squadron. F10 holds the special distinction of providing all of Task Force Valhalla's precision intelligence. Their ELINT missions are the only reason any flight can use a pre-planned target or has knowledge of the precise location of our adversary's mobile SAM network. When not performing ELINT, F10 has proven themselves as the best deep strike package in all of TFV. >>Our Website<< Discord Currently we institute an application process to screen members before they join. We do this because we want to make sure that applicants meet our age requirement, and that our operations actually meet the experience that they're looking for. It's also a good time to ask any questions you might have! Our application process is pretty straight forward: 1. Apply on our website 2.Join our Discord 3. Do 5-10 minute interview with someone from our recruiting team.

I recently started flying the Hog. I've been going through training on the old version but the issue/question reported here seems to be common to both the A-10C and the A-10C II Tank Killer modules. I've been flying with Easy Communications OFF but with "Select Tunes Radio" and "Instant Select" both turned ON. In one mission I wanted to use radio 3 to communicate with Batumi on 40.400 MHz. So I manually tuned that radio to 40.400 and called Batumi for taxi permission. No response. However if I then gave the command "Batumi, Select" and then called for taxi permission it worked fine. At first I thought this was a failure of Instant Select to select Batumi as the recipient. Upon further investigation I realized that the problem is actually with "Select Tunes Radio" together with my improper use of the radio. The Select command was causing radio 3 to tune to 40.400 MHz AM. This is a bug because that radio is an FM only radio and so such tuning should be impossible. Batumi ATC should not be reachable on that radio, and if you try to reach it using the Hog's Mic switch aft command Batumi does not respond. Or perhaps I should call this a feature because it lets you do something that DCS ordinarily does not permit. In any event, I don't know whether the behavior is intentional in the design of VAICOM, and thought I would report it here in case Hollywood sees it as a bug instead of a feature.

Does anyone know how to change what programs the CMSC selects for a given threat indication when in Semi or Auto mode? To be clear, I know how to edit the CMSP chaff/flare dispense sequences in the cockpit and the defaults in the "AN_ALE40V_params.lua" file, but I want to change the CMSC program selection criteria. As it stands, these are the programs selected when exposed to the given threats: PRGM A: SA-6, SA-8, ZSU-23-4 RWR indications PRGM B: SA-10, SA-11, SA-15, SA-19, Roland, Patriot RWR indications PRGM D: SA-2, SA-13, HQ-7, Rapier RWR indications PRGM L: SA-3, Hawk RWR indications PRGM M: MWS detected launches (like MANPADS) without a correlated RWR warning (ie, if you are pointing your belly at an SA-13, where the Missile Warning System detects the launch of a missile, but is in a blind spot of the Radar Warning Receiver so it doesn't detect the SA-13's radar, it will dispense PRGM M, whereas if the aircraft was circling the SA-13 site with the SA-13 radar in the field of view of the RWR sensors, it would dispense PRGM D if it detects the SA-13 radar prior to the MWS detected launch of an SA-13 missile) What is troublesome about this is that all the relatively recent additions to DCS, such as the SA-2, HQ-7 and Rapier, seem to default to program D along with the SA-13, and these are all quite different types of threats (not that you need chaff to outmaneuver an SA-2 missile, even in an A-10). In fact, these threats aren't even listed in the "CMSC_param.lua" file under any CMSC program, whereas all the threats for programs A, B and L are. I tried adding or moving various threat lines to programs A or B or creating a new program in the "CMSC_param.lua" file. However, when I save, and close the file, then start DCS and test, the programs still respond as before. The reason I want to tailor these programs is to make the programs more efficient for each threat, and avoid wasting countermeasures unnecessarily. For example, I could set up PRGM D to expend both a chaff program that works for the HQ-7 and Rapier, and simultaneously expend flares for the SA-13, but now I'm expending more countermeasures than are necessary regardless of what threat I am engaged by. Any suggestions or insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Blindsided : 5th revision (v6.0.5.0) Original release in 2012, a decade of getting 'Blindsided'! Updated for modern DCS, now fully voice acted and re-scripted with a new twist or two! Mission download here! Co-operative mission supporting up to: 46 player slots (2-6 players recommended default, 3-12 on difficult). Flyable aircraft: CAS (Air to ground) - 2x A-10C (Old), 3x A-10C II, 3x AH-64D, 2x AV-8B, 3x F-16, 3x F/A-18, 2x JF-17, 3x KA-50, 3x Mi-24P, 3x Su-25T CAP (Air to air) - 2x F-14B, 2x F-15C, 3x F-16, 3x F-18, 3x MiG-29, 2x M2000C CSAR (Search and rescue) - 2x Mi-8MTV, 2x UH-1H [Briefing room] We have not received any word back from the eastern patrol, since they reported hearing heavy vehicles in the pass. We can only assume the worst. Twenty minutes ago we received confirmation that insurgent forces are attempting a surprise attack on the Batumi aerodrome. Be advised we have received reports that the insurgents are able to mount a credible anti-air threat, furthermore there are indications they may have the support of unknown airforces. US Specops are right now sending ahead a two man TACP unit, designation 'Ferret', to provide coordination for a counter attack on an insurgent outpost located due east. Before we can rid ourselves of the outpost though, we must succesfully defend Batumi from the insurgent forces closing in. Be aware that we are facing at least two groups heading in from the outpost. Local defense forces are engaged with light enemy units as I speak. Your aircraft have been fueled and armed, there is no time to waste, scramble! Aimed at: Pilots reasonably comfortable with combat tasks and start up, moderate difficulty level. Pilots up for more challenge can enable higher difficulty at the beginning of the mission (Radio options, F10 Other). Featuring: * Co-op and single player support. Note: Difficulty higher for single player. * Plenty of scripted events with radio traffic and detailing. Fully voice acted! * Combined operations of air to ground and air to air aircraft, all playing important but not interdependent roles (Set higher difficulty for best effect). * Adapting mission design: Air to ground, air to air and combat search and rescue operations are each an optional component of the mission. All you need to do is fly the right aircraft and the mission commences. * Dynamically generated randomized air to air threats for the entire duration of the mission. You can't be sure where the enemy air assets will strike from. * Dynamically generated CSAR rescue operations for both stranded aircrews and vehicle crews. * Up-to-date tasking can be requested even if a player enters the mission in the middle of it. No more guessing what state the mission is in. * Choice of two difficulty levels. * Some more aggressive, scripted AI behaviour. * Some munitions restricted through the warehouse functionality for a proper challenge. * On the move troop deployments. * Airlifted JTAC available (but not necessary) for operations against the insurgent outpost. * Optional AFAC available for the defense phase of the mission. * Adapt to rapidly developing situations as you fight an enemy that fights back rather than passively waiting for you to attack. * Be a part of a team where your actions truly matter to the outcome of the mission. License: Freeware, distribution allowed as is with all files and attributions intact. All rights otherwise reserved, unless specifically agreed upon. (It's ok to ask.) Mission download here!

Hey guys, i just started with DCS and i love the A-10C But i cant buy it or download it. Did they remove it? Only the A-10A and Tank Killer is available. But on steam i could buy the A-10C. Is that intended? And if yes is it worth to buy the Tank Killer Module or the A-10A?
