Welcome to JTF-111! We offer: -Weekly handmade wing-wide custom missions -Weekly training with our experienced aviators in your squadron airframe -3 Training servers and 1 dynamic campaign server running 24/7 -Most importantly, good people to fly with Overview We feature active F/A-18c, F16c and F15E squadrons. We operate in the EST time zone, with trainings on Tuesdays and missions on Saturdays at 2000. We are focused on handmade PvE missions nearly every week where we work together as a team to accomplish objectives. Our skilled mission designers produce detailed missions with realistic scenarios to provide the most immersive experience possible in DCS. We often fly other airframes as well including the F14, A10cII and Apache. Many of our members have aviation experience and are former or active duty. A typical mission would be preceded by a mission brief where all aspects of the mission are briefed. Detailed planning is organized by the squadron CO/DOs beforehand. We fly as a flight to the objective, use mulitship tactics to accomplish our mission, reform if we separate, and RTB back to base in formation. We use military brevity when possible during missions but are relaxed outside of it. We then review the mission on Tacview afterwards and try to learn from our mistakes. Training night We have four servers available 24/7 with custom-made training scenarios on each of the major maps. These training servers offer static ranges, spawnable ranges including SAM ranges, redfor aircraft, tankers and a BFM area. We do a squadron overview of the intended training goals before hitting the servers and practicing. We also feature a custom dynamic campaign handbuilt for our servers and available 24/7. This features convoy hunting, anti-ship, SEAD, strike, SCAR and CAP missions. Who we are looking for: aviation enthusiasts who enjoy engage flying in a group. You do not need to be the best pilot in the world, we would rather have someone who puts forth the effort and regularly participates. We have training materials on everything from ATC comms to BVR tactics to get you up to speed. Every Tuesday, our experienced aviators get together to practice their squadron jet. Our pilots don’t need to complete a complex training regimen prior to be deemed mission ready – just a familiarization to get you familiar with our basic procedures prior to going out. So come, give us a shot. Requirements: HOTAS Headtracking or VR 19 or older Consistent attendance (though we recognize real life comes first) If you are interested in joining please check out our discord: https://discord.gg/bSEf587B73

I hope this is the right spot to make a proper post. I recently bought myself an MSI Katana GF76...with 64 gigs of RAM and a 3050ti along with a 1tb SSD it was a bargain and I also like having the portability of a laptop. I also purchased DCS World and a couple of the FC3 planes too. I did sample the F-14 as well since ED allows for a free trial and wow...Heatblur is just phenomenal when it comes to quality. This Youtuber utterly desecrated the F-14 in terms of its capabilities but I feel otherwise with the two weeks I had with the module. The plane handles extremely well and the avionics are still somewhat competitive even with the newer jets. The TF-30s stall but it's not like what the internet claims where if you simply look at them the wrong way, they'll conk out on you...you have to be careful but still pretty capable. The B model just turns the dial up to eleven. It's also very maneuverable for such a large plane...once I had learned the basic controls, I did a few dogfights against SU-27s and while I'm no Growling Sidewinder, I held my own. I always loved the F-14 but had yet to fly it in a proper sim. My only experience with the aircraft were games like Ace Combat bravo, Heatblur. Youtube video in question below...

I am doing this as RIO, Pilot saw them blinking as well. We would have targets that are 50+ nm out and when TWS auto would target them, they would be blinking. Based on what I read in the manual, they should blink when they are within 8 seconds of impact, see snip from manual below. I feel like I am missing something. Can someone please explain why the contact symbol is blinking when trying to lock them with TWS auto, also when an AM-54 was launched, it would not start a countdown or track the target at all. I would really appreciate some clarity, I hope it is something that I missed when reading the manual.

I have been trying to execute an ACLS landing in the F-14B and have followed procedures according to all instructions. The final step in the sequence is to press the NWS Button and upon the CMD CONTROL Light illuminating, the ACLS should guide the aircraft on localizer and glide slope to a landing. The bug seems to come in at this step as when the CMD CONTROL light illuminates, nothing seems to happen. I do not touch the stick and the aircraft seems to fly as if though I have not activates ACLS and just released the stick, continuing in the direction it was headed after my last control input. I asked others to try the ACLS landing and they have gotten the same result, no terminal ACLS guidance.

https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3322479/ I made a little cockpit mod for the F-14B that changes the nozzle position gauge to the nozzle percentage gauge for the F110s along with fixing some of the missing labels that were fixed in older versions of OB but were removed recently (MAND ATTK on Datadrum, COMB on the hydraulics gauge, and AWG-9/AIM-54 cooling switch). Inb4 Heatblur had these fixes planned for the May 18th patch. V1.0 - Initial Release V1.1 - Removal of the COMB on the hydraulics gauge and AWG-9/AIM-54 cooling switch fix since it was fixed in OB 2.7.16.27869. V1.2 - Added a fix for the missile station status indicators (the indicators covers were extremely opaque and almost made it appeared that certain stations, especially on Station 1A, were selected). V1.3 - Updated for OB 2.8.3.37556 (making the mirrors work again).

Is there a way to quickly reset horizontal stabilizer to "default" (before taking off) rather than using trim to adjust it?
-
In the multiplayer environment, RIO could not identify which planes are friendly or hostile to cause I shoot down the friendly plane. Any suggestion?

I had it bound previously but after the last few updates and changing of my HOTAS / Control Panels, I can't find the binding to bind to anymore. I've manually scrolled all the way through it and there is nothing for either 'Hydraulic' or 'HYD' or 'FLT' or 'Isolation'. Was this removed or has this never been implemented and I was only able to bind to it because of DCS BIOS (which I no longer use)?
