WEW Lads are looking for new members!!! Aircrafts: F/A-18, F14 Pilot/RIO, F15c, F15e Pilot/WSO, and F16 Requirements: Mic, 18+ (we can work 16+, but we will interview you), Be able to purchase maps like Syria/Nevada/Persian Gulf, If you fly F18 or F14 you must have Super Carrier, Be able to show up to missions We Are a NA based Squadron and our op times are at 9pm EST on Wednesdays. We also host Arma ops that correlate to the DCS ops every Thursday at 9pm EST. We do like to have fun and also randomly hold game nights. We understand that life is a priority and don't expect you to give up your life when joining our squad. We don't make our members remember manuals or watch slides as we are all adults and have other things to take care of. If you do wish to join the group keep please the time zone in mind as well as the following rules. Take Missions seriously and don't purposely throw the mission. While we are not a full blown realism unit, we would still qualify us as MilSim. Our playstyle is set up for people who want to fly a realistic campaign in DCS without joining a full blown realism unit. You will be expected to talk on the radio relatively correctly and to take the scenarios seriously. We will not have a rank structure nor a chain of command. Mods are simply around to moderate, not to boss you around. Before joining the Campaign please pick an aircraft you are willing to fully commit to. This should be an aircraft that you are either willing to learn or are already proficient in. This aircraft should also be something that you are willing to fly for the main campaigns in the group. Due to the nature of DCS we would prefer people to stick to an aircraft. That being said, there will be opportunities in fun events/side missions for people to fly other aircraft, as well as different campaigns that may require different aircraft. You will not be allowed to fly in the campaign unless you picked an aircraft ahead of time. Before playing the campaign with us you must complete a check flight. This is not a daunting task and we don't want to fail you. We just want to know that you are confident enough in your airframe to fly in a mission. We require an attendance rate of 2 Ops per month. If you do not meet this rate you will be removed from the group. There are obvious exceptions to this such as family issues/a college class that got scheduled for that time. We are not expecting you to sacrifice your real life for this group, but you joined the group to play, so play. People who have just joined and have not passed their check flight have 1 week to at least attempt a check flight (if no one can do your check flight in that week for some reason an exception will be made) if you do not pass this check flight, the week resets. Once again, we are not expecting you to sacrifice your real life for this group, but you joined to play. Squadron Website: http://www.wew-lads.com/ Squadron Discord: http://discord.gg/wewlads

Welcome to JTF-111! We offer: -Weekly handmade wing-wide custom missions -Weekly training with our experienced aviators in your squadron airframe -3 Training servers and 1 dynamic campaign server running 24/7 -Most importantly, good people to fly with Overview We feature active F/A-18c, F16c and F15E squadrons. We operate in the EST time zone, with trainings on Tuesdays and missions on Saturdays at 2000. We are focused on handmade PvE missions nearly every week where we work together as a team to accomplish objectives. Our skilled mission designers produce detailed missions with realistic scenarios to provide the most immersive experience possible in DCS. We often fly other airframes as well including the F14, A10cII and Apache. Many of our members have aviation experience and are former or active duty. A typical mission would be preceded by a mission brief where all aspects of the mission are briefed. Detailed planning is organized by the squadron CO/DOs beforehand. We fly as a flight to the objective, use mulitship tactics to accomplish our mission, reform if we separate, and RTB back to base in formation. We use military brevity when possible during missions but are relaxed outside of it. We then review the mission on Tacview afterwards and try to learn from our mistakes. Training night We have four servers available 24/7 with custom-made training scenarios on each of the major maps. These training servers offer static ranges, spawnable ranges including SAM ranges, redfor aircraft, tankers and a BFM area. We do a squadron overview of the intended training goals before hitting the servers and practicing. We also feature a custom dynamic campaign handbuilt for our servers and available 24/7. This features convoy hunting, anti-ship, SEAD, strike, SCAR and CAP missions. Who we are looking for: aviation enthusiasts who enjoy engage flying in a group. You do not need to be the best pilot in the world, we would rather have someone who puts forth the effort and regularly participates. We have training materials on everything from ATC comms to BVR tactics to get you up to speed. Every Tuesday, our experienced aviators get together to practice their squadron jet. Our pilots don’t need to complete a complex training regimen prior to be deemed mission ready – just a familiarization to get you familiar with our basic procedures prior to going out. So come, give us a shot. Requirements: HOTAS Headtracking or VR 19 or older Consistent attendance (though we recognize real life comes first) If you are interested in joining please check out our discord: https://discord.gg/bSEf587B73

Greetings, The Virtual Airforce (VAF) is a virtual fighter squadron that operates in DCS. We are a milsim-lite group focused on multi-airframe operations and camaraderie. Our well-established European wing boasts an average member age of 30+, creating a mature environment. VAF currently has operational squadrons flying the F-15E, F-16C, F/A-18C, AV8B.We recently opened a dedicated F-4E Phantom II squadron as well. Twice weekly, these squadrons conduct a mix of formal training and operational deployments. We are currently only Recruiting EU and British pilots for our AV8B, F-16 and F-4E squadrons. We welcome experienced pilots to lead additional airframes. We also seek dedicated ATC controllers - ground, tower, approach, GCI, and JTAC - to establish a controller unit within VAF. This key role has proven difficult to fill. If our squadron appeals to you, please connect with me for introductions. We look forward to welcoming fellow aviators and controllers into our ranks! Please note we fly at 8PM UK time, and currently do not have an American wing within VAF.

Selling these items because I’d rather fly an airbus or Boeing. Bought both of them less than a year ago and they both use flawless. I’m open for offers so don’t hesitate sending me a message! I’m able to ship pretty much anywhere, but pickup is preferred so you can see them working and well. I would be open to sell them separately. F16 ICP IS SOLD! Asking 70 for the 2x MFD's If you have any questions or are interested feel free to send me a dm or comment down below!

Hey DCS Community, Does anybody knows the difference between the F16C and D and the block 50 and 52 versions? Best regards!

** REQUIRE DCS 2.7 & The Syria map ** Version 0.9 Beta As a pilot of the Israel air force, you are tasked to sink 2 Chinese cargo ships in the Lebanese territorial waters. This mission is fully voiced (dozens of recording), has custom music and automated radio. I would consider the difficulty to be easy. To complete it, you need to know the following: 1. Take-off / Landing. 2. Follow a flight plan thru the programmed steer points. 3. Use of dumb bombs and rockets. Enjoy and please leave comments. It will help for my future missions. Thanks! Mission File https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3316729/ ** INSTALLATION Simply drop the file in your directory [User]\Saved Games\DCS\Missions Scenario May 1985, Shortly after the Lebanon war of 1982, the dust slowly settles between Lebanon and Israel. However, the middle east is more divided than ever and dozens of insurgent groups fight each other in search of power. Syria becomes a nest for insurgent groups, becoming the haven of weapon smugglers and extremists. On May 6th 1985, Mossad is getting tipped off about a huge shipment of thousands of Chinese AK-47 and RPGs heading for Syria thru the Bassel Al-Assad port. These smuggled weapons will be sold to the various insurgent groups, representing a serious threat in the area. The cargo ships smuggling the weapons, named Sheunsh an Awhan, are currently crossing the Lebanese territorial water, heading to the Bassel Al-Assad port in Syria. The Israel military demanded access to the Lebanon airspace to sink these ships, which are a threat to security of both countries. Since Lebanon has no air force and would rather let Israel take the political heat for destroying Chinese ships, it temporarily granted the Israeli air force access to their airspace. On the morning of may 7th 1985, the operation begins. Note from the developer 1. The ATC and radio are fully automated in this mission. You do not need to touch it at all. 2. For the best experience, set the AUDIO option "IN-COCKPIT" to 50%. This will provide the perfect volume to hear the radio. 3. Follow the Flight plan / Steer points precisely for the mission to run smoothly. I have few missions of this type that are quite interactive, but that are relatively easy. If I see that there is an interest, I am planning to release a short campaign. Please leave you comments.

Hello Ed, due to the changes to cockpit script files during the last patch, my RWR export now breaks integrity check. I have a home cockpit and I need to export my RWR to use the F16. How do I do it now? I used to have this line in my RWR_ALR56_init.lua dofile(LockOn_Options.common_script_path.."ViewportHandling.lua") try_find_assigned_viewport("F16_RWR") and then in my monitor config F16_RWR = { x = 3760; y = 1440; width = 480; height = 480; } How do I export the RWR after this patch, without breaking integrity check?

Hello everyone! The tilte says it all! Are there any plans from the administration to create a fully working F-16 BLK 52 bundle ??? Thank you very much!

Hi, I just received my winwing super taurus and super libra, and I found that if I use the radar elevation wheel on the throttle for the f16 it always recenters when I stop giving input with the wheel, is there any way to make it work without recentering? Thanks

As the title says, when selecting the master arm switch to SIM there is no HUD lettering for that status. if intentional then please disregard

Hello my buddies, I would love to see the MARK button (NUMPAD 7) going out of (under development) in the F16 cockpit. What will it do? It will intantanious set a waypoind (high numbers in waypoint list) to your actual position. That would normally allow you to mark the exact position like your starting airport on some servers and f.e. your buddy got shot down or to mark an unmarked SAM or AAA position You can always send the coordinates to your buddies without F10 card during flying. Safes you some fingerwork when flying into enemy terretory I am honest, I dont know how complex it is to implement. But if it is not too hard to do please do it. Its a small feature which has a great outcome on all servers with more realistic circumstances like BF or 104th. BR, MoccaLG

According to manuals, the AN/APG-68v5 should include a radar sub-mode called Long Range Search (LRS) which offers the same symbology and functions as RWS but it should be optimized for long range target detection. If confirmed to be applicable to the modeled Viper, it would furtherly deepen the simulation of the F-16's radar.

* Tested in the Caucasus Map, SP mode * The backup AA/AG mode selection logic through the DED and UFC appears to be inverted. According both to the Viper early access manual and to the -34, pressing M-SEL on the DED MODE page should activate the displayed mode (e.g. pressing M-SEL when AA mode is displayed should make the jet enter AA mode). Currently this behavior appears to be inverted, both on the ground and in the air. As you can see from the track, pressing M-SEL with AA mode displayed brings up the AG mode and vice versa. DED MODE Logic Inverted.trk

For realism and immersion, it would be nice to have the remaining unclickable switches (i.e. AVTR Selector, Video Recorder Switch, Nuclear Consent and Harness Lock Lever) animated and completed with sounds. It would also be coherent with the choice of animating other non-functional switches (e.g. AB MAX, TFR ADV etc.) in the Viper, plus their equivalent is already animated in the Hornet despite being purely cosmetic and not needed for aircraft operation. The ECM control switches are clearly not included in this list as they will be implemented alongside jammer pods.

Hi. On the mission night life the ins alignment is interrupted by other jets taking of on the runway while the viper is parked on the parking lot. The jet is actually moved a little as well. This seems excessive. I have experienced this on other missions in multi-player as well. According to other players the wheel chucks don't help preventing this, but I haven't tested it.

Hi all, apologies if this has already been discussed. I happened across a YouTube video by @Growling Sidewinder yesterday who was demonstrating and discussing the F16's rate turn performance when compared to the F18 and F14. The general conclusion of the video is that the F16 is underperforming in a 2 circle rate fight when compared to the F14 and F18 (or obviously the later 2 aircraft are overperforming) I can see how the F18 and F14 could/should outperform the Viper in terms of radius turns but not in a rate turn. Has anyone carried out a controlled test using something like Tacview? GS's video is here:

Why cancel the NS430 of F-16 ? this is obviously illogical ! F-16C bl.50 has no MAP and canceled NS430, can I only look at the coordinates ? I know that I can manually modify the NS430 file, but I cannot pass the online verification !

Howdy everyone, I've had this F-16 throttle arm sitting around in my room the last few years, and I've finally decided to do something with it. I'd been trying to find an actual grip that I could use with it, so that I could just plug it into the existing wiring, but, I couldn't find one. I did however, find a nice 1:1 cad model of an F-16A grip here: http://www.seedling.org/The_Official_Hempstick_Site/F16_Throttle.html I went ahead and got them all printed, minus the comm switch, since I'll need the 4-way hat instead, but aside from that, they are pretty nice. So far, I've only attached the grip to the arm, and gotten the pinky trigger on. Now I'm just in the process of picking out what electronics I'm gonna use, and what board I'm gonna go with. I only have experience with Leo Bodnar boards, but I'm thinking of using an arduino this time around. I also went ahead and removed the wiring from the arm for the time being, as I'm not sure where I'd be able to find the connectors that it uses, but if I can find the throttle side connector, I might be able to use it, minus the canon plug. That's all a bit secondary at the moment though until I can figure out the mechanical side of things. I'm thinking about how to add a bit of resistance to the throttle movement, since at the moment it just kind of flops around, and the friction wheel is kind of, all or nothing, so, not ideal. After seeing the hydraulic damper that mfg has got for their crosswinds, I'm thinking that might be a good way to go, and I think it could also be useful as a point to mount a magnet and hall effect sensor or GMR sensor to make the analog output for it. Development is gonna be pretty slow, since so far the only diy project I've done is the Hornet UFC that Brun made, and obviously I didn't make anything for that, lol. So, trying to make plans and figure out stuff and troubleshooting and such is definitely gonna be a learning experience, but, I'm looking forward to it. Aside from all that though, does anyone happen to have a good 1:1 template for the throttle rail? My search has been coming up pretty dry, and the help would be much appreciated.

Unveiled only three days ago and now in DCS for your pleasure: this amazing scheme by the Belgian Air Force celebrating the 75th anniversary of the BAF. This is a very accurate recreation of the colorful paintjob, with highly detailed weathering. I hope you will enjoy this beauty, looking forward to your feedback. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3315637/

Hello, I've posted on this topic before didn't have the time to test it but now I've. Last time I wrote this (Under that I would put the test results and other people experience with this issue.) : " I would add later this day a video of this. The basic idea is: - 80% of the time the missile won't show on RWR and you would just die. - The time it does show on RWR it usually shows about 0.5 seconds before impact and very rarely it will show 3-4 second before impact. - Also a F-14 will not show on the RWR when it locks you for most of the time, it will maybe blip in RWR twice or a bit more but that's it. (Tests have been done on the Viper [F-16] but a Hornet [F-18] player that I fly with also confirmed that the Phoenix doesn't show on RWR). *I would try to add a video of this happening when I'm home, around 6-4 hours from when this is posted* " On this post I got the response of IronMIKE, he said this; " Thank you. If this is happening on the RWR of another module, it is likely an oversight on their side and would have to be addressed with them, please. " Before posting my first topic about the issue I've contacted NineLine on the ED Discord he responded by telling me this: " You may need to report this to HB " Because of that I'm trying to figure out to who should I reach out about this problem. My first test were in a Viper [F-16] and in the F-15, did it on single player when the A.I got these following settings, Enemy fighter- Ace, 1 AIM-54C-MK47, at 35,000 feet with speeds of mach 1.0 . In that test the Viper didn't got the results that I looked for it immediately started warning of a incoming missile the moment the A.I launched, but the F-15 did got the result that I looked for. In this track file you can see the F-15 not getting any warning of a incoming missile: F-15 AIM-54 test bug prood.trk I had a track file of that happening to me but I don't remember which day it was and each track file is at least 2 hours. Also I asked around to see if some players also experienced the same thing, I got some of my buddies to confirm that this has happened to them after the latest update but like me they have lots of file that each one is at least 1 hour long, I've also asked around in the ED's discord, a user named FzK#4325 told me the same thing, he flies the F-14 and he didn't have a track file for me but he did have a Tacview recording. he said the it had happened to him 3 times in the mission he flew, it may seem like he was defending but he said the he is cranking right after he shots everytime, by the Tacview we can see the he engages a bandit then he foxes and start cranking, not getting any RWR warning and then he just dies. Is own word (can be found is ED's discord): Das Feuer — Today at 4:54 AM is anyone experiencing AIM-54 not showing on RWR or showing just half a second before impact FzK — Today at 5:02 AM I am [5:02 AM] Got killed [5:02 AM] By phoenixes FzK — Today at 5:02 AM With no warning [5:02 AM] 3 times no warning just death [5:03 AM] It annoyed me so much Das Feuer — Today at 5:03 AM Can you just confirm that you weren't in the blind area of RWR and not got killed by a IR missile please FzK — Today at 5:03 AM I watched the tacview [5:03 AM] And he was dead ahead of me [5:03 AM] Phoenix to the face Das Feuer — Today at 5:03 AM and can you please tell me which airframe were you using? Das Feuer — Today at 5:04 AM I would like if can send it to me FzK — Today at 5:05 AM At first I was shocked like what killed me hehe [5:05 AM] Silent phoenixes [5:05 AM] That’s dangerous(edited) @FzK Another F14 Das Feuer — Today at 5:05 AM Copy if you can send me the Tacview file it would mean a lot FzK — Today at 5:05 AM It is a tacview from PGAW Would U mind If i clip it?(edited) [5:05 AM] Via video FzK — Today at 5:05 AM Because it is 3hours long Das Feuer — Today at 5:05 AM it's better to send me the whole file @Das Feuer it's better to send me the whole file FzK — Today at 5:06 AM I’ll do that and give ya a time stamp then Das Feuer — Today at 5:06 AM copy thanks FzK — Today at 5:07 AM So give me about 20minutes [5:07 AM] And I’ll send it in your dm’s Das Feuer — Today at 5:07 AM yup no problem thank you By this we can learn that he is probably telling the truth. Here we can see the Tacview: (wasn't able to add the Tacview you are welcome to DM me in discord I will send it to you.) look for him (SHARK 1-3|FzK) at 30:55. Hope someone can give me a answer to this, if help is needed I've no problem helping out. My discord is the same as username here look for me in ED's discord.

Hi all! After updating to the latest version, the default " \ " key for the communications menu doesn't work. When I tried reseting it back to the default, still doesn't work and only when I change it to any other button, seems to work. I also uninstalled the entire module and installed it again and still isn't working! The same bug also applies for the communications menu on the F-5 E (trial mode) dcs.log

Hello all, i recently bought the F16 Module and for some reason, my general performance in it is worse than in other aircraft. Ive included screenshots of the FPSVR Dashboard for both the F16s and the Hornets Free Flight Scenario. As you can see the Frames for the Hornet are much more stable when compared to the F16, which struggles to maintain a steady framerate and drops a lot of frames. I have not changed settings in between Screenshots. Here are my Specs: I7 8700k RTX 3070TI 32 GB of DDR4 @3200 MHZ DCS is installed and run from my m.2 ssd I am playing DCS using my VR Headset (Reverb G2) Anybody here have some pointers to why this might be? Right now its kinda unplayable Thanks!
