Hi everyone, I've been working on a mission in DCS based on the Falklands Conflict I original produced back in 2018, https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3102536/, specifically focusing on the air defence of British ships during the attack on RFA Sir Galahad and RFA Sir Tristram at Bluff Cove. The mission centers around a CAP (Combat Air Patrol) flown by British Harriers as they protect the fleet from Argentine air attacks. Link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3340462/ V2.6 I also want to thank all the other creators of the Mods I've used to create this mission (listed below). Mission Overview: Time Frame: June 8, 1982 Aircraft: Sea Harriers from No. 800 NAS Objective: Provide air cover for the British fleet and engage incoming enemy aircraft. Key Events: Includes coordination with HMS Intrepid SAR operations for downed pilots, and ongoing naval bombardment at Mount Kent and Stanley. Scenario: Harrier pilots Flt Lt Morgan and Lt Smith engage four A-4 Skyhawks and ensure the safety of British ships in a high-pressure combat environment. Current Features: Custom dialogue with radio calls between pilots, HMS Hermes, HMS Intrepid, Pilots and SAR units. Dynamic enemy air attacks, requiring strategic response from the player. Naval bombardment in progress, adding an extra layer of complexity to the mission. As close as I can find out to true events ,weather and units. Required Mods: HMS Hermes 1971 and 1981 v2.5 https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3335915/ Civilian Assets Pack - Navy A-4E-C Royal Navy Sea King PUCARA IA-58 FMA ARGENTINA SAM Sites Asset Pack HighDigitSams Royal Navy / RAF AV-8 Pilot Helmet - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3309397/ AU Daring Destroyers - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313017/ Civilian Aircraft mod - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3335287/ Landing Craft Unit (LCU-1627) - https://www.dropbox.com/s/y37foqfxkezgd4i/LCU-1627.zip?dl=0 Sandown Class Mine Hunter - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3338677/ DCS WWII Assets Pack - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/wwii_assets_pack/ Skins: A 4 FAA IV Brigada: - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3315626/ HMS Hermes Harrier - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3339762/ HMS Invincible Harrier - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3339763/ Mirage F1CE Aerges Camo A-4 Second Wave FAA V Brigada 240: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3315626/ KC-130 FUERZA AERA AGENTINA https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3300608/ What's Still in Progress: Fine-tuning enemy aircraft behaviour to create more dynamic engagements. Adding more interactive voiceovers to enhance immersion. Search and Rescue (SAR) standby for potential emergencies. Balancing difficulty to ensure both seasoned pilots and newer players can enjoy the mission. Creating a multi-player mission. CombatFlite integration. Ground force voice overs Create a lite version (Less Mods) Known Bugs: Game crash if F2 is pressed to soon at mission start. ok after 5 seconds Wingman can sometimes hit the rear of your aircraft if you leave your parking spot too soon. Feedback Needed: AI behaviour: Any suggestions on improving enemy AI aggressiveness and tactics would be appreciated. Voiceover/Dialogue: I’m working on adding more authentic radio chatter. If anyone has tips on making it sound more realistic or tools for text-to-speech, I’d love to hear them. Mission Flow: Is the pacing of engagements and tasks smooth? Does the mission keep you engaged without feeling overwhelming? Units: Are the skins correct and units correct I would really appreciate any feedback, whether it’s about bugs, mission flow, or ideas for improvement. This mission is still a work in progress, so any suggestions will help me refine it into something great for the community. Thanks in advance for your help, and feel free to download the mission and try it out! Link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3340462/

[Original threat lost, apologies!] Situational Overview Following a REDFOR insurgency post the Falklands war, a new Caudillo has taken over larger parts of the southern tip of South America. BLUEFOR has been tasked to sweep the RED zones South to North and re-establish the previous order. USMC has landed close to Ushuaia and Port Willams and has established a bridgehead. The HMS Invincible provides protection in the channel, the USS Forrestal is crusing east of the mainland. CAP operations has been established from Ushuaia and CTLD/CSAR helicopter operations from Ushuaia Helo Port and FARP London. USMC SOF have been inserted deep into the Phase-One-Zone Rio Grande and provide target information and target markers. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3328279/ Background This late cold-war mission is set on the South-Atlantic/Falkland maps. Sound output leverages Text-To-Speech-Generation(TTS) via SRS, best via Google (own account needed) or Windows Desktop (far less voices). For SRS-TTS to work on your PC, consult this guide: https://github.com/FlightControl-Master/MOOSE_GUIDES/blob/master/documents/Moose TTS Setup Guide.pdf Before running, you need to setup the SRS and Load/Save paths correctly to match your system and/or server, and create a folder for persistence. Read and follow the instructions in the README.txt file on how to do that! Help is available via the MOOSE Discord https://discord.gg/aQtjcR94Qf Version history * Features SRS-TTS * Features Persistence * Build with Moose * V1.41p1 - Phase One Initial Community Release * V1.42p1 *** Removed dependency on WWII Assets and A-4-EC. *** Made the config an external file, see README.txt for details on how to adjust. *** Repaired ground saving and loading. * V1.43p1 *** All F1CE and M2K now belong to France, not the US *** SOF messages timing changed * V1.44p1 *** Improved Conquer Airbase Logic *** Exchanged AWACS Voice (now faster) to avoid overlaps * V1.45p1 *** Marker creation on conquered Airbases for CTLD loading zones now lighter. * V1.46p1 *** Added two Spanish F1EE in Puerto Williams SRS Output Demo from the Mission (YouTube)

Hi everyone, I think the depth of water is a little too shallow in a few areas around the islands, particularly Port Fitzroy (which is currently only 4 ft deep - we know that a Round Table-class LSL can navigate it (RFA Sir Galahad was attacked in Port Fitzroy, so it must at least be over 12 ft deep). I'll try and source a chart, but in the meantime, is it possible for it to get looked over?

HMS INVINCIBLE & HMS Illustrious V1.3 Mod Release! ( 19/01/2021 ) - UPDATED UPDATE Changelog V1.3 : - Re-worked modelling on HMS Invincible - Brand-new Seadart Model and launcher - (Launcher will receive further fixing in next update) - Deck signs and writting added - Ship R05 Insignia added to Island - Fixed Hull and added red base - Corrected Encyclopedia (Thanks Joey45) - Added Themes (Thanks Ozone1) V1.2 - Only update to Illustrious - Extensive re-work of deck and ambience lighting on HMS Illustrious - Re-modelled surfaces - Crest and Insignia added - Animation updates HMS Invincible R05 (1982) and HMS Illustrious R06 (2012) ! What works : - Lights , however they remain mostly on during the day as well (Have not been able to animate the time of day change yet) - AI Takeoff and Landing (testsed with 3 AI - Ski jump will not work with them though due to DCS bug. They attempt it but usually crash in sea) - Radar Animation What doesn't work : - Lights , however they remain mostly on during the day as well - Elevator animations - No working defensive weapons yet (to be added to next update) All textures are base textures used for the modelling. Proper textures are being made now and will be added to next update . Some parts of the ship might seem better made than others , this is because this ship was my learning project so as I progressed I modelled better. All will be addressed in upcoming updates however due to work and time , I will doing best I can . Afterall , Razbam's South Atlantic map and assets should be releasing with this year ! You can download the mod via mediafire : https://www.mediafire.com/folder/20i7ulxfq5t2p/HMS_Invincible_%26_Illustrious_DCS_Mod I've also submited it to the user files section so will be made available there aswell ! Big thanks to Joey45 (Hermes Mod) for his help ! --------------------------------------------------------------- Have been working on this model for quite a few weeks . Initially started as project to learn to model better , turned into a proper project and am now (i think) on the final stretch to complete her. HMS Invincible R05 - Currently working on lighting and still have a few features to add on deck and on the island (Windows , doors and cabling etc). I've tried to model her based on the 1982 variant R05 however there might be a few inconsistencies as from the material available online alot of times I have realised the HMS illustrious was tagged as the R05 instead of R06 mixing up the features which are slightly different . Slowly correcting whatever I can so for the most part I hope it will be close enough to the R05. Couple of screenshots and will update soon with more as I get closer to finishing her within the next week or two in order to upload a first version!

Hawk 1-1 and 181st_Theuce attacked Leander class frigates at +00:46:00 and the ships Seacat missiles were fired to both GBU-8 HOBOS bombs and the aircrafts with very high tracking accuracy, shooting down GBU-8's with one shot and at 51.40 one of the ships fired two Seacat and guided to both GBU-8 and aircraft also there were 3 ships and their launcher can carry only 4 seacats per ship but they fired 20 missiles within very short time period. So there is 3 problems, the first one is Seacat's are very accurate, they can even shoot down a GBU-8 bomb, second one is one ship is guiding 2 Seacat missiles at the same time, one to the aircraft and the other one to the GBU-8 bomb at 51.40, the third one is unrealistic reload time, firing 20 missiles without any delay.
