    F-16 IFF

    mobua posted a topic in DCS: F-16C Viper

    Hi, the updated IFF features for the Hornet had me hopeful for what was to come for our beloved VIper. Then I saw one of Big Newys replies stating no auto IFF on the Viper. Ok, fair enough. I do however remember seeing AIFF in a list of Viper features. Could someone please expand on what AIFF brings in the Viper? Is IFF symbology overlayed on the HUD a reasonable expectation or are we forever resigned to Mk II eyeballs and looking down on the FCR ? Sincerely mobua

    Quick question, Does the apache has mode 1 and 3 iff and is it possible ot configure it in the cockpit? Asking because we are trying to implement lotatc on our squad and now we realized how useful it is for the gci and tower.

    Is it planned to add IFF Mode 3 and 1 support for the Viper? Because right now we cannot modify the modes sqwuak code on the 16, but is it planned though? We tend to use it a lot on our squadron between the A10s and the F18s and now since some of us are migrating to the viper we are realizing the viper does not support mode 3 or 1 on LOTATC..

    Currently trying out the WSO role with my friends. I know you're supposed to do AAI FWD long to interrogate IFF, but it appears that I can only do it once per spawn. Leaving the slot and rejoining allows me to IFF a single time before it stops working. Not sure what could be causing this. I'm sure all my bind are correct so I this point it think it has to be a bug

    I know the whole IFF panel is inoperative but unless turning the IFF on (one click cw upper right corner), the IFF warning light won't go out. I like to do this through key binding since I have no clickable cockpit full window (all screen) mode. Can't find any key binding for this. Searching IFF yields no results. Yet the whole panel has clickable switches and knobs. I want to turn it on with a key binding so I wont have to go to windowed mode and use the mouse.
