Issue description When attempting to start DCS Open Beta 2.8.6.41066 with the --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR command line options of the DCS.exe, DCS starts in 2D mode and not in VR mode. This happens for both the single threaded and multithreaded versions of DCS. Furthermore, the issue occurs no matter if Windows Mixed Reality or Steam VR are used as OpenXR runtime. Skimming through the dcs.log file (see attachment), I noticed the following error related to OpenXR: 2023-06-13 09:39:09.356 ERROR VISUALIZER (Main): OpenXR exception: XrResult failure [XR_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_ERROR] Origin: xrCreateInstance(&createInfo, &instance) Source: Projects\Visualizer\Source\OpenXR\openxr_program.cpp:299 2023-06-13 09:39:09.357 INFO VISUALIZER (Main): LAUNCH IN VR ed_FakeVR: ed_FakeVR 2023-06-13 09:39:09.358 INFO VISUALIZER (Main): render thread initialization... It seems that DCS cannot access the OpenXR library file in the file system. Other OpenXR applications like the demo included with OpenXR Tools for Windows Mixed Reality work fine. When not using the --force_OpenXR command line option with the single threaded version of DCS.exe, DCS starts in VR. The system runs a fresh, clean and fully updated installation of Windows 11 Pro and the latest drivers for the installed NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti with a HP Reverb G2 WMR headset. An Ultraleap Leap Motion Controller and the corresponding Ultraleap Gemini hand tracking software installed. Solution that worked for me: The Ultraleap Gemini hand tracking software includes an OpenXR plugin. DCS also supports the Ultraleap Leap Motion Controller and includes the corresponding library but seems to come with an outdated and/or conflicting version. So, this is how I could fix the issue: Copy this file: C:\Program Files\Ultraleap\OpenXR\LeapC.dll To the following folders and overwrite the existing LeapC.dll files there: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin-mt After this, I could successfully launch DCS in OpenXR VR mode. dcs.log -
I can go all the way from F1 to F5 in realtime game, but couldn’t switch to any POV in replay, I got lock in the pov of my actual game

When I do researches on F-5E tiger's Landing video records, I found most of the "tigers" will do a nose up Aerodynamic Braking, in this video the voice over said 10 degrees (?) But I found it's really hard to do it in DCS, even I tried to touch down very Gently, the nose gear will "Strike to the floor" within 2 seconds, just like there is a force that pulling it down. ( I double/hundred checked my brakes are off ),TRACK INCLUDED DOWN BELOW , but yet I'm not a professional, and I'm lack of documents to proof it further, maybe you the one can provide a little help. PS. the F-5E must need moooooore LOVE F5LAND.trk

hello all, I am having an issue with my 3DS Max edm exporter where i am getting an error inside of the model viewer which reads: 5.9169 ERROR NGMODEL Can't load lod //models/test.edm of model test.edm. Reason: Invalid link to control node. does anyone know how to fix this issue? Thanks!

Hi all, I'm new to the forums so please forgive any errors on my part, out of the blue I've started to have sudden and constant frame drops, game hitches, and freezes and I really don't know what to do about it. The performance issues occur in all of my modules on all of the maps in and out of multiplayer. My specs: 16 gb ram RTX 2070 graphics cardx Intel i7-9700 @3 GHz My game was running fine until it wasn't pretty much. Hi everyone, I use various fuel tank textures (370gal) for my liveries but since last update no matter what liverie i choose it always remain the default ext fuel tank 370gal texture. Does anyone have similiar issue? maybe ED changed the way the .dds file is read/loaded? Thank you all, F. -
Hello, I have been dealing with Liverys since 2018. and I saw too many poly errors in dcs. but some are really glaring and really strange looking issue. I'm going to present these to you, maybe you know some of them, but please someone fix this. have a nice day

Hi, Just found a small issue with the radio (V/UHF). Condition : cold and dark start. From parking. Turn battery on switch V/UHF radio on P (preset) swtich V/UHF radio ON Result : Does not work! No comm at all. I have to set back on M (manual) and again on P to solve the issue. But : Turn battery on swtich V/UHF radio ON switch V/UHF radio on P (preset) Result : Works normally. Seems to be an issue. There is no reason to switch On the radio first before to set it on P. Cheers Dan (Tested on Syria map) -
Sorry, Id like to report next issue. Ok I know that Gazelle its a old module but it sells still so should be updated with current keys stanadrd as well. When the model was released those keys wasnt present. See this: Those position for VR users arent present in current version of Gazelle but ... they are present in every module. Also I noticed that no Flashlight too - "LAlt+L". Those keys was added in the last 1-3 years ago to SDK (or even before, I dont remember). Please to upgrade it too.

Hello All, In DCS MT another issue I'm experiencing is an equally spaced jitter in my fps (see attached). Any ideas what this might be? Fun fact: this doesn't happen when tabbed out. System specs: CPU: 13900kf GPU: 3080ti FE Ram: 64gb

Hi all, I juste upgraded from 2.8.1 to 2.8.4 and I got half of the grey levels missing on a deported display showing TGP (Right or Left MFD). Same issued with MAVS optical. grey levels are OK in the cockpit display but darker on the deported display. Checked on A10-II and not such a problem. So this seems related to Viper only. Any one else reporting this ? Any workaround / fix ? Thanks in advance for your feedback. GL38

Hello everyone, As I now fly in DCS in an F/A-18C, I recently noticed that my "esc" key was getting ignored by the game since some days. I was ignoring the problem as I thought this would be resolved by simply restarting the game, but the issue keeps happening. Reproduction Step Note: I believe this is an issue on my side and you will be unable to reproduce this issue yourself. so... sorry for the trouble... Notes: Windows 11 A Razer keyboard Playing DCS using VR (Flags: --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR) There should be no overlapping programs that get inputs before DCS. Potential (Very unlikely) programs are: "Discord", "Razer Synapse" No buttons have been programmed in Razer Synapse Jump into any game (Singleplayer or multiplayer doesn't change anything). Get into your cockpit and fly for a bit. If tapping the "esc" key work, try playing with your control mapping OR fly for some time. After some moment, you'll be unable to open the End Mission menu using "esc". This is a very odd issue, I shouldn't have anything that change the key behavior and, I assume DCS get the key input, but just doesn't do anything here... No idea why this is happening, I don't believe there's any other key that overlaps "End Mission" (And it doesn't, no other key are bound to this function) nor is there any other functions that Echap is bound to. So... Have fun helping me, if you'd like, this is a though and annoying issue, and if anyone can help me, that would be SUPER appreciated! Thank for reading, sorry for being to this point, but here we are, sadly, that's how things are!
