Hi everyone, Really pleased with the new keybinding setup for the Hind, but I did notice a major item that's missing for me, and that is keyboard keybinds for the anti-torque pedals (Z and X by default). There are keybinds for them in the pilot seat, just not the operator seat. I'm well aware that I should really just pull the plug on some MFG crosswinds, but at the moment (and for the more immediate future) I'm stuck with having to use the keyboard for the collective and anti-torque (as well as rudder and throttle in other aircraft) and to add fuel to the fire, I also don't have any head tracking, and I'm playing on a laptop with a 15.6" screen.

In the DCS Main screen/Options screen/ the peripheral key bindings are correct and function well. But as soon as the mission starts no input peripheral work. Not working: VFX-grip, SaitekX52 Throttle, TrackIr and Keyboard.

Looking for a keyboard I found one "gaming keyboard". Link to "DELTACO GAM-024" It has press-multiple-keys feature "anti-ghosting". Nice. Not really needed but nice. It also has 16 extra keys labeled "mediakeys". I absolutely cannot find any information about them. The only way they would make sense and be useful were if they are programmable macro keys. But again, I cannot find any information about them. No downloadable software I can find to reprogram. They look non-labeled and they'd only be that if they are programmable, right? Keyboard has what I look for, all the standard key (WIN ALT CTRL keys on both sides of Space). No annoying frivolous useless labeled extra keys. Just those 16 programmable(?) keys. If I could only find out out exactly what they are?

My new keyboard doesn't have an right side Win Key!!! I feel dumb. Buying a cheap "full" (number pad) keyboard I just assumed. I didn't imagine it wouldn't have a right side Win key so I didn't even look. The key in it's place is some "menu function" key. It is recognized in DCS. But it is NOT recognized as a qualifier key. As an unorthodox extra key I have no use for it. There's a fix, a reprogramming keyboard downloadable app. But I really don't want to use an app to introduce potential messes with all other programs on the keyboard. Also, the app writes the Windows registry, another thing I really don't want do to. 15 years ago I used to write Win Registry, it's never worth the trouble. Is there anything I can do but bite the sour apple and get another keyboard?

I recently entered the DCS World and have started with Warthog II. As I have the HOTAS Warthog and rudder pedals and MFD frames, I was looking for a good keyboard layout for use with those and was disappointed with what I could find, so I decided create one myself. Most reading this likely have a layout with which they are happy, but I am quite pleased with how this turned out and offer it for any other newbies looking for some ideas. After clearing the HOTAS and Flight Controls key binds, I was pleasantly surprised by how many keys became available and focused on mapping the UFC and CDU (I started in computing with teletypes and punch cards, so I have a keyboard bias and hate clicking to type), as well as cockpit switches I find particularly annoying to get to with the mouse, like the NMSP and SAS switches. Also, since I have a bit of hand tremor, three-position switches can be problematic with the mouse, so those got thrown in. And, as long as we're adding stuff, how about a bunch of cold-start convenience keys, emergency controls, and some odds and ends. Key binds were chosen, with some unavoidable exceptions, to be somewhat memorable, for example, W for EW, L for landing lights, and T for test and TO TRIM, as well as being influenced by the cockpit layout; there's also a pun in amongst the assignments. The view and camera F- and numpad key binds are untouched. The UFC and CDU are completely operable from the keyboard. The UFC LTR key and CDU numbers are not modeled, as they would be redundant with the key mapping as it is. With the AAP PAGE switch set to OTHER, the UFC FUNC combinations and mirror keys are used to operate the CDU. The attached keyboard map is for an ancient (bought circa Falcon 4.0, if anyone remembers that) Datalux Spacesaver keyboard (so old it doesn't have a Windows key) I use for flight sims. The map shows only the new keybinds after HOTAS and Flight Controls binds have been cleared; unchanged default binds are not shown. The map works fine with a conventional keyboard layout with just a couple of changes. By the by, IO means ON-OFF. Also, the Ctrl modifier for the screen shot is a quirk of the Datalux and not necessary on a conventional keyboard. "If you hear me shout EJECT-EJECT-EJECT, the last two will be echoes, 'cuz I'll be gone."

Mainly in the Apache module, where this issue is most affected, the keyboard stops working after about 3 minutes of playing. I run it vanilla, after cleaning and repairing. I'ts become completely unplayable. Every module has this behavior. No xbox controller is connected. At first I thought a modifier was at fault, so I deleted the throttle switch assignment and reverted to default. No joy. Then, I thought the the "show ruler" button on the F10 map was the culprit - no it wasn't. this seems to be happening after about 2-4 minutes in the game. Best I was able to reproduce was to start cold (everything works fine), then make the craft go alive. by the time it starts up, all keyboard commands are not working. But TrackIR and ALT+TAB commands do work. Only way to exit DCS is by killing it from task manager. In the Apache, it always happens after about 2 minutes in. other modules are a bit more stable, and it happens randomly. I'm at a loss here.DxDiag.txt what do I do and how can I report this?
