Enigma's Dynamic Cold War Campaign PVP/PVE Server The purpose of this server is to provide a dynamic campaign server that is set in the cold war that is accessible and avoids frustrating mechanics. The focus is air to air and air to ground activities. Some highlights: -PVP/PVE with a dynamic frontline that moves in real time and does not require a server reset for it to move. -Overlord GCI Bot -Curated Equipment set in Early-to-Mid Cold War -All WVR Fighting no FOX-3 missiles and a focus on iron bombs and unguided rockets with some air-to-surface missiles. -There will be an abundant of helicopter missions that do not focus around slinging but are more about having an impact on the frontline. -There will be strategic targets that impact the frontline movement. There are AI bomber flights too. Map Area: null null Trailer Guide Explaining how to Play How to Use Overlord This server community is mostly Discord based. I do not check the forums daily https://discord.gg/3ZMttnKmkh FAQ https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1I-aD-s3zoEpV4gGu7QIrEdywkpklfT40te-mYlX3zk8/edit?usp=sharing We consider ourselves in open beta. So this is something a few people probably won't agree but i wish that eagle dynamics would add mouse control for mig-21. you see I am a mouse and keyboard player because I can't get my xbox controller to work I know I can get the stick to fly the plane but i never wanted that. I made a free trial on the mig-21 and I noticed you can't move your mouse/camera in the mig-21 I'm hoping it is something the developer can add. please correct me if I put this post on the wrong topic this is my first time using the forums on any of the games company website

Hello all, On New Year's day I quietly released a multiplayer sandbox mission for the Mi-24 and other period Soviet aircraft. One week later and with almost 50 downloads and no complaints I am now feeling confident enough to announce it officially. The mission is a sandbox set in a fictional province of Afghanistan in October 1986. Most of the helicopters are based out of FOB 979, a remote base housing a battalion of airborne infantry. The helicopter detachment has been tasked with supplying and supporting the battalion and surrounding outposts in their operations. Players can patrol the 60x120km AO for any of the thousand-plus Mujahideen units. The vast majority of enemy units are infantry and technicals, though MANPADS are an increasing threat. Each is hand-placed and on a randomized spawn tied to a spawning system optimized for best performance. They are mostly hidden in towns but some can be found patrolling the roads or cleverly positioned on hilltops. I made a deliberate attempt to balance the mission mostly on realism, so if you are used to soloing objectives or carelessly flying around you will probably have a bad time. I think it will still be a refreshing change for people used to playing on servers with advanced SAMs and enemy air activity. In addition to patrolling the AO you can take part in one of the dozen tasks available through the F10 menu. Most of these will require one or more friends in the Mi-8 and additional Mi-24s to accomplish successfully. This mission is in beta because I do not have enough wingmen to test all of them, though I have extensively and repetitively reviewed each of their triggers. In addition to the Mi-8 and Mi-24 slots the mission also includes slots for the MiG-21, Su-25, L-39 and Combined Arms. If this sounds interesting, check out the linked mission and read the briefing to learn more. Enjoy! If you have feedback on the mission and want to make suggestions for further development please use this form. If you don't have a wingman or someone to share the cabin with, comment here, check out Hoggit, the Wingman Finder subreddit or the Wingman Finder discord server. This is a MULTIPLAYER-ONLY mission. Attempting to run it in singleplayer will not work.

Hello! I'm looking for the dimensions of the throttle and stick in the MIG-21 as a wish to build a functioning replica to be used with DCS. Has anyone any ideas on where I could get a hold of these dimensions or point me in a good direction? Thanks in advance!

reported earlier MiG-21 Canopy Bug (The glass flashes)
SASHIBA-11 posted a topic in 3D Model and Cockpit
Select "Cloudy and Rainy 2" and MiG-21 and the glass in the cockpit will flash. This bug only occurs when "Cloudy and Rainy 2" is selected. This bug is also linked to SORC - main warning light button/light Video ↓ I used Google Translate because I can't speak English -
The J/F-7E or any other double delta MiG-21F is a very unique plane to China and Pakistan as well as many other countries around the world. DCS is currently missing a MiG-21F model as there is a gap there which could be filled by a modernized Chinese export variant. You said you didn't want to do another MFD plane so I think this is the perfect choice. You have done the JF-17 so I am assuming that you already have connections with Pakistan aeronautical teams. I think that this project is thus realistic and since it's based on a Soviet plane there is demand for the plane. I hope you can let us know what you have chosen sooner than later. Thanks

Hi guys, How can I remove board number on plane? Do i have to do some changes in description.lua? I made userskin but can't remove the board number as in the photo. As far as I understand the AOA indicator in cockpit is marked with degrees unlike bluefor aircraft. Therefore the range of available alpha should be 28° as the end of yellow zone and 33° as the end of red zone. When I pull this angles they are shown in the DCS infobar and Tackview as 15-17°. The issue is either with the FM itself or with how AOA of the module is perceived by DCS and Tackview.

Howdy, Can someone help me how to get the MiG21's radar window clean on a second screen? I use the standard export of the A10C and the radar is also displayed, but unfortunately it also overlaps with the mirrored screen. In the A10 and I think the Harrier it works. Actually just a cosmetic problem, but it bothers me a little now. My export lua: _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('lalalala'); Description = '3 Screens and L-R MultiMFD' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 3840; height = 2160; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 16/9; }, LEFT_MFCD = { x = 3920; y = 1320; width = 390; height = 390; }, RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 4530; y = 1300; width = 390; height = 390; }, } UIMainView = Viewports.Center LEFT_MFCD = Viewports.LEFT_MFCD RIGHT_MFCD = Viewports.RIGHT_MFCD Thanks in advance

Vielen Dank schonmal. Meine export lua: _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('lalalala'); Description = '3 Screens and L-R MultiMFD' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 3840; height = 2160; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 16/9; }, LEFT_MFCD = { x = 3920; y = 1320; width = 390; height = 390; }, RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 4530; y = 1300; width = 390; height = 390; }, } UIMainView = Viewports.Center LEFT_MFCD = Viewports.LEFT_MFCD RIGHT_MFCD = Viewports.RIGHT_MFCD

A Roarrrrrring Gooooood mooooorniiiiing DCS and especially MiG-21 maniacs! Plesase support me on these wisch: MiG-21bis that we have in DCS is equipped in RSBN/PRMG nav system. As we know the system is mobile - it's installed on URAL trucks and can be moved to a random location by road / offroad. So my wisch would be "To have a mobile RSBN/PRMG system for MiG-21bis, L-39C / L-39ZA Albatros, Mi-24, MiG-29, Su25, Su27 in DCS!" These way t-offs and landings would be possible from random locations - even in heavy weather conditions. As we know Warsaw Pact Pilots used to systematically practice such operations. I would be more than happy having a possibility to recreate it in DCS Virtual World. With my best regards. 303_Kermit

I am writing a set of missions depicting a low intensity skirmish between two fictional small African nations. It will take place in the north of Cyprus, with multiplayer slots for two aircraft, and playable from Red and Blue sides (probably as 3 separate .miz files, red, blue and both). Blue have taken delivery of a small detachment of ex-Israeli AH-64Ds. Their orbat is a mix of new/old mostly western kit. They have no offensive fixed-wing assets Red are equipped with ex-soviet kit, with the playable units being the MiG-21 and the Mi-8 The scenario back story is as follows... Bluefor: Equatorial Mirumba, thanks to revenue generated by recent coastal oil reserve exploitation has begun replacing its older military hardware with small amounts of modern western equipment. The relationship with their Southern neighbour had always been frosty, but never hostile, however the recent coup and violent tendencies of Field Marshal Kijambiya are well known and a cause of real concern for President Mutello. The Mirumban Volunteer Army has increased border patrols and all forces have been brought to readiness. The newly delivered AH-64 gunships will prove critical to maintain the safety and prosperity of the people of Equatorial Mirumba. Redfor: Having secured power in a military coup, supported in large by the population of The People’s Democratic Republic of Kzama on promises of economic reform, Field Marshal Kijambiya casts an envious eye over their small but wealthy neighbour to the North. Feeling pressure to make good his promise and wanting to maintain momentum, Kzaman People's Army troops have been harassing Equatorial Mirumba's border patrols with sporadic skirmishes and intimidation. The Kzaman Peoples Air Force's small fleet of mostly outdated ex-soviet hardware is primed and ready for further operations into Equatorial Mirumba's sovereign territory. However, aware of Mirumba's recent spending Field Marshal Kijambiya is worried that any delays will only make the job harder, and possibly not achievable at all. It is now or never. Decisive action is required if the oil wealth of their rivals is to be seized. The first couple of missions will be ready as soon as the Apache drops, six total planned. I have also posted this in the Apache subforum but thought others might be interested from the redfor side.

Hello! I modified my MiG-21 module in `DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\MIG-21bis\Input\MiG-21\joystick\default.lua` with few lines to extend the possibilities with two and three stage switches. The extension is working, but i wanted to put the configuration in my `Saved Games` folder to avoid the problems with the next update. I created the same path, but its seems not working. Have a working solution for this problem? Regards! Apoth

Good day, I am a new DCS World user and have been using the simulator for a month or two. An issue that consistently perturbs me is that of the black ventilation device that obstructs the Heads-up Display in the MiG-21bis and makes landing and takeoff difficult. I am unable to get rid of this device, that protrudes right into the lower half of the hud and has thus become a serious botheration to me. This problem persists in the Su-25T too. I wish to know, if this issue is rectifiable, and if yes: how? Please to reach out to me, if you know the solution. Thank you in advance. Warm regards.

Saluté To contact the ATC on the caucasus map is no problem, the numbers are already listed on the kneeboard. But how can I contact the ATC on the Persian Gulf map? The kneeboard only shows the RSBN data but no Radio stations. Any help would be appreciated

I don't get why this has not been fixed for how long it has been in the game and is now a module on sale. When ever the radar on the Mig21 sees the ground my game just drops from 150 FPS to 10-20 FPS. I have looked for ways of fixing this and found nothing that actually works. If any one knows if they are working on fixing this or if there is a fix that would be awesome, just putting this out here to hopefully get some attention for this problem.

Noticed that the Mig-21 is the only module (as far as I am aware of) that doesn't have the option to bind Spyglass Zoom, VR Zoom and VR Reset. The only way to do so requires users to unload all mods, repair game and bind it through the UI Layer option to all modules as opposed to just the Mig-21 in the controls screen. Failure to do so will get users stuck in a loading screen on the control's menu while binding to the UI Layer. Can these control options be added so that the Mig-21 is more inline with the other available modules and friendlier for VR users.

None of the bombs I launch from the 21 work (at any launch parameters). All of them just hit the ground and do nothing (as the video shows). It works on all FC3 aircraft, just not in the mig21. Can anyone else confirm? Last time I used bombs was a month ago and they worked fine, so not sure if the recent updates did something or I did something in this mean time I can't recall. Have tried verifying files, reinstalling the mig only (haven't got the time to fresh reinstall the whole game yet). Dcs 2022 06 29 20 24 14 185_cmp.m4v

I'm trying to make a skin and I'm having lot of trouble with the nose numbers on description.lua file. I think it has to do something with the "Tac Number Nose Set 1" and those values. I'd like to use only two numbers that change in the mission editor but I just don't find the proper values for it. And is there anyway to make the font smaller? I only get scrambled textures or something that shows on the attached picture as I would like to get it to look like on the real picture. Could someone please help me?
