  1. CVW-9 is a Start-up group of experienced F/A-18 SIM pilots that want to have a realistic squadron. We follow a SOP that is written with the help of real pilots and follow real training to have realistic deployment and carrier cycles. As having a modern approach, we use the CJS superbug mod and have even done some tweaking with the growler to have electronic attack. With this modern approach we do not offer f14s and have limited legacy hornet slots. 24/7 server. Can offer tactical training, but please have all the basics down including Case 1 recoveries, AAR and weapon employment. Discipline and participation is expected. Requirements - Be 18 Years or older - Own a Functioning HOTAS - Own some kind of Face/head Tracker or VR - Own the DCS Marianas, Nevada, Syria and Persian Gulf maps - Own the F/A-18C Hornet and Supercarrier modules - Operate the Jet and all of its systems - Be able to fly formation and aerial refuel - Be able to fly a proper CASE I departure and recovery Timezone/OPS times: North America and Europe (mostly 00:00Z) Realism Rating: Casual ---------|- MILSIM Roles needed: F/A-18C, CJS Superbug E,F,G Squadron requirements: Age 18+, Speak English, HOTAS, Head Tracking or VR, SRS, Supercarrier, Marianas, Syria, PG, Nevada Discord link: https://discord.gg/Bms4sNXXmm
  2. DCS is a big community and choosing a place to settle down can be hard. There are a lot of groups out there with each having their own culture and standards of flying. As you are reading this ask yourself what you want out of a DCS group. VFA-211 is a DCS Strike Fighter Squadron that is dedicated to getting as close as possible to real world Naval aviation operations. VFA-211 is dedicated to training its members to be the best of the best. We pride ourselves on flying like real Naval Aviators. We also love Naval Aviation and Naval operations. VFA-211 offers a unique experience in that we capture the culture around Naval Squadrons. We’re a tight knit group of like minded people that act like a family building each other up. We are devoted to making an authentic and realistic experience. We are often classified as a military simulation (mil sim), but what does that exactly mean? Well, our definition of mil sim is that we strive to get as close as we can to real-world operations within the limits of DCS. VFA-211’s members have a lot of experience in a wide range of tactics and procedures. Our members are devoted to helping one another accomplish the goal of creating a realistic experience within DCS. Mil sim does not mean you have to greet people and say sir, but we do have a chain of command and ranks to identify members and their respective contributing roles. VFA-211’s motto is “Work hard, play hard”. We feel that if you put in the effort that’s what you’ll get out of it. So is VFA-211 a good fit for you? What do you want out of a DCS group? Here are more questions that you can ask yourself. Do I have a passion for flying and naval aviation? Do I enjoy Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and reading/ abiding by them? Do I enjoy flying the F/A-18C start up to shut down? Am I experienced enough in the F/A-18C? Do I enjoy working as a team and learning in a professional and realistic manner? Can I receive criticism in debriefs whether I fail or succeed in a given mission? Can I become part of a group that flies in the Eastern Standard Time zone on Tuesday and Saturdays at 2030 EST? If you said yes to all of the above, VFA-211 may be a good option for you. We currently have space for about 3-4 more active pilots and exclusively operate the F/A-18C. Our training and operational programs closely resemble that of a real VFA. Our training consists of approximately 16 flights that cover; Startup/Taxi/Takeoff procedures, Formation Flying, Air to Air Refueling (AAR), Low Altitude Tactics (LAT), Air to Surface (AS), Air to Air (AA), and Carrier Qualifications (CQ). In VFA-211 you will be put through SFARP which teaches you Close Air Support (CAS), Armed Reconnaissance (AR) and much more.Lot’s of hours are spent by squadron members making detailed briefs and training materials as well. If you have made it to the end of this, congratulations! We look forward to having you on our team. FLY NAVY!! 3. Hi All, I believe this is my first time posting here so I hope I got to the right sub-forum! Anyhow, I've been playing DCS for a few years now and I absolutely love it. My problem is that the way I play is by generally finding a public server to hop onto like one of the 4YA servers and just do my own thing. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to find someone who wants to fly with me on there, but its hit and miss. So now I'm looking for a mil sim group to join and have fun with. Although I feel quite proficient with the F-18, and F-16 modules, I still feel like there's a bunch of stuff I need to learn. and I haven't even touched "proper" communications procedures, so I would need to learn that stuff, hence why I have stated that I am looking for a relaxed group. I'm all for going full immersion but I feel like I lack a fair bit of knowledge that some mil sim groups might expect from the start. So in an ideal world, I'd also like to have members willing and able to teach me how to better use modules. A little about me: Age: 25 Location: North West England Availability: Weekends, and some week day evenings DCS hours estimate: 500-1000h Owned Aircraft: F/A-18C (1st Choice), F-16C (2nd Choice), A-10C ii (Third Choice), F-15E, AV-8B, Spitfire, UH-1H Huey, AH-64D [Owned but never flown], Su-33 [Owned but never flown] Owned Maps: Syria, Persian Gulf Owned Miscellaneous Modules: Supercarrier So, if anyone has any suggestions to a group I'd be well suited to I'd love to hear Thanks, Coxie
  4. The 101VFS is a Carrier based Milsim group. This squadron operates all available Naval and Marine fixed wing aircraft. The missions we fly on consists of CAP, SEAD, DEAD, CAS, and Anti-ship operations. On training nights we focus on anything that needs improving. On Ops night we put it all together. The goal for us is to learn the in's and out's of our aircraft of choice, down to the emergency procedures. Our end result is for members to be skilled and confident enough to go into a competition setting. [101VFS] Discord - https://discord.gg/rcraQJSZ7T

  8. WEW Lads are looking for new members!!! Aircrafts we fly: F/A-18, F14 Pilot/RIO, F15c, F15e Pilot/WSO, F16, and Mirage 2000. Requirements: Mic, 18+ (we can work 16+, but we will interview you), Be able to purchase maps like Syria/Nevada/Persian Gulf, If you fly F18 or F14 you must have Super Carrier, Be able to show up to missions We Are a NA based Squadron and our op times are at 9pm EST on Wednesdays. We also host Arma ops that correlate to the DCS ops every Thursday at 9pm EST. We do like to have fun and also randomly hold game nights to have fun. If you do wish to join the group keep please the time zone in mind as well as the following rules. Take Missions seriously and don't purposely throw the mission. While we are not a full blown realism unit, we would still qualify us as MilSim. Our playstyle is set up for people who want to fly a realistic campaign in DCS without joining a full blown realism unit. You will be expected to talk on the radio relatively correctly and to take the scenarios seriously. We will not have a rank structure nor a chain of command. Mods are simply around to moderate, not to boss you around. Before joining the Campaign please pick an aircraft you are willing to fully commit to. This should be an aircraft that you are either willing to learn or are already proficient in. This aircraft should also be something that you are willing to fly for the main campaigns in the group. Due to the nature of DCS we would prefer people to stick to an aircraft. That being said, there will be opportunities in fun events/side missions for people to fly other aircraft, as well as different campaigns that may require different aircraft. You will not be allowed to fly in the campaign unless you picked an aircraft ahead of time. Before playing the campaign with us you must complete a check flight. This is not a daunting task and we don't want to fail you. We just want to know that you are confident enough in your airframe to fly in a mission. We require an attendance rate of 2 Ops per month. If you do not meet this rate you will be removed from the group. There are obvious exceptions to this such as family issues/a college class that got scheduled for that time. We are not expecting you to sacrifice your real life for this group, but you joined the group to play, so play. People who have just joined and have not passed their check flight have 1 week to at least attempt a check flight (if no one can do your check flight in that week for some reason an exception will be made) if you do not pass this check flight, the week resets. Once again, we are not expecting you to sacrifice your real life for this group, but you joined to play. Squadron Website: http://www.wew-lads.com/ Squadron Discord: https://discord.gg/gs8HqSRE8w
  9. CVW-9 is a start-up group of experienced F/A-18 SIM pilots that takes it a step further and follows a very detailed SOP. We’re taking a more modern approach using the Superbug MOD (Charlie Hornet available) and dating ourselves around 2019 with many modern modifications. 24/7 server. Can offer tactical training, but please have all the basics down including Case 1 recoveries, AAR and weapon employment. Discipline and participation is expected. Its 2019 guys and there are NO more F-14's left unfortunately...sorry. If you would like to check us out follow the link to our discord... Discord Server - updated (07-04-2023) Fill out or Application here.... Application Requirements - Be 18 Years or older - Own a Functioning HOTAS - Own some kind of Face/head Tracker or VR - Own the DCS Marianas, Nevada, Syria and Persian Gulf maps - Own the F/A-18C Hornet and Supercarrier modules - Operate the Jet and all of its systems - Be able to fly formation and aerial refuel - Be able to fly a proper CASE I departure and recovery Code of Conduct Behave with Honesty and Integrity. This is the forefront of our operation; while you are in this Air Wing, you represent us in every aspect. Offensive and outwardly aggressive behavior towards your fellow pilots, in or out of the Air Wing, will not be tolerated. The Chain of Command will be respected at all times. If you have a problem with your squadron mates, you will take it up the appropriate COC. We are a mature group of pilots who understand the importance of teamwork and comradery, and are always up for a spirited debate. However, discussing religion or politics should be kept to a minimum, keep it professional in the cockpit and light hearted in the Officers Club.
  10. We are a relaxed-realism group consisting of DCS players from across different walks of life and places in the world, creating realistic US operations from multiple branches to deliver a varied and exciting experience for our members. Our parent Arma 3 unit was founded in September 2016, and our DCS squadron was founded in May 2020. We are an established and tight-knit gaming community. Types of people we are looking for: We are currently looking for mission makers! Age 17+ At least conversational English proficiency Valid copy of DCS Open Beta SimpleRadio Standalone Working speakers/headset and microphone A positive attitude, high personal integrity, and maturity When it comes to what to fly, we accept flyers of any plane, but currently only use the following modules in our missions: F-14 F-16 F-18 However, we do plan on adding more modules and planes as we expand our number of experienced pilots, with plans to include A-10C, UH-1H, and the Apache, as well as any others we can consistently get enough people to fly regularly in missions! We don't require any member to own any module, but due to them being frequently used in our missions, we do highly recommend having the following modules: Supercarrier Persian Gulf Syria Our missions also use two freely available community mods as well, and will offer help getting them set up if you do not have them. A-4E Community Mod High Digit SAMs About Us US/North American-based community focused on DCS US Armed Forces CAS, CAP, and SEAD/DEAD operations. Unit Wide Monday Operations every Monday at 19:00CDT. Members from the age of 17 to their 50s. We have members from Indonesia to Brazil to the UK. They come from all walks of life from plumbers to students to corporate managers to military officers. We are more than a DCS squadron, we are a tightly knit community and we often play other games together. We want to get new members in the game quickly, and our basic training is designed to do just that: teach only what we do. We offer training on all supported airframes and roles, with the expectation that members gradually improve over time. We know DCS is a game and we just want to know that you’re up to speed. That is also why our attendance policy is a bit unorthodox, we only require you to tell us if you plan on attending or not. Though activity has its own rewards, we do not punish or adversely affect you if you can’t make it to a game session. In-game we expect seriousness and professionalism to provide an immersive and fun gaming experience. You will have a task and you will have leaders giving orders, and there will be a bit of structure. This is not to say you can’t crack a joke or anything, but there’s a point to where it can become distracting. Out of game we are just a bunch of friends goofing around like a gaming community should. We don't expect “yes sir, no sir” in or out of game. What We Bring To The Table We have multiple sections working both independently and cooperatively to bring a new level of coordinated missions. With experienced real-life Air Force controllers and pilots, we are able to simulate a high degree of realism in our operations. We want to present an active and high-energy environment that is professional when we need to be, laid back the rest of the time, and fun all the time. Our leadership is adept at what they do, whether it is designing missions and operations, or getting everyone hyped to get some game time in. We have a dedicated server for SRS, training, and operations! Why We’re Different From the Rest While no unit is totally unique, JATF-121 attempts to break out by being relaxed and professional in the realism department. Immersion is important but we eschew all the “dead weight.” We don’t have a mod for every little thing. We don’t insist that you drop real life into oblivion for a game. We don’t put new members through overly-developed and lengthy training schedules. We believe that everyone has a certain taste and style to their DCS preference. We focus on common sense but accurate policies, short training, high energy operations, active player base, and approachable but fleshed out realism and immersion. How to join 1. Join the Discord and read over the #dcs-welcome channel 2. Fill out the brief application form 3. After filling out the application we will have a quick one on one chat on TeamSpeak to make sure that we as a unit are a good fit for you, then get you into the game! Contact Information Our Teamspeak IP: ts3.taskforce121.us Discord Link: https://discord.gg/r72h6tW Several of our members stream DCS and Arma and other games on Twitch, feel free to ask for some of the channels if you'd like to watch an operation.

  16. Photo credit: Tech. Sgt. Matthew Plew Keen to fly the Strike Eagle when it releases? DCAF(Digital Coalition Air Force) is proud to announce that it is taking on Strike Eagle recruits to join us on release! Following years of excellent service, VF-31 will be retiring the venerable F-14A Tomcat to convert onto the F-15E Strike Eagle. As a fully staffed squadron, we want to hit the ground running, bring in new energy to our community and have you join us in this exciting new chapter. While some aspects will be contingent on the state of the EA release of the Strike Eagle, we have prepared a fully fledged airframe familiarisation course, SOPs and the appropriate integration to our existing training structure, such that by the end of the training season, newly qualified officers will be able to operate within large operations and execute tasks efficiently. How will the timetable work? DCAF will be commencing its 3 month training season from the 1st July, in which ab initio cadets will progress through familiarisation flight, circuits, formation flying, air to air refuelling, tacform, unguided & precision air to surface employment, basic fighter manoeuvres, air combat manoeuvring, beyond visual range timelines, as well as DCA & OCA gameplans. Prior to the commencement and during the training season, cadets will have access to BATS, our online training resource where users can read content, be assessed and track their progress. A snippet of airframe familiarisation: Once the training season completes all DCAF squadrons will enter the ops season, where you can expect complex missions and campaigns featuring 40+ players flush with WeCOs and JTACs. What is DCAF? DCAF(Digital Coalition Air Force) is one of the largest EU based virtual groups that plays DCS. Consisting of five squadrons, DCAF hosts complex operations and a comprehensive training environment. DCAF takes pride in its training culture and the support it provides its new members via its excellent instructors. No matter your skill level, if you’re looking to be part of a great community, this is the place to go. Onboarding: Once you get in contact, either myself or a recruitment officer will get in touch to organise an introduction. We’ll provide a full breakdown and presentation of what you can expect and how you can get involved. Want to find out more? 17. Starting a group of experienced F/A-18 SIM pilots that takes it a step further and follows a very detailed SOP developed by real world Navy pilot input and extensive research. We’re taking a more modern approach using the Superbug MOD and dating ourselves around 2019 with many modern modifications. We have an active server and can offer tactical training, but please have all the basics down including Case 1 recoveries, AAR and weapon employment. You WILL learn how the real guys do it, but discipline and participation is expected. Just wondering if there are a lot of guys out there into this type of gameplay, so let me know if you’re interested. West coast to East coast and across the pond are welcome. Thanks ~ Boogeyman
  18. Looking for pilots to join our group as we host two servers that are run 24/7 and have multiple events each week. if intrested please look up the 76th DSOW on google or discord and come fly with us.

Ping me a message or reply here if interested in joining. 20. Joint Task Force Heavy is opening recruiting to new pilots of all skill levels who are age 18+. We have 175 members, and love our community! Here are some facts about us: - We are a relaxed group that borders on “milsim”, but we are realistic in the sense that real-life obligations always come first. - We boast 9 combat squadrons, 1 aggressor squadron, and 1 Training Squadron. You specialize in an airframe of your choice for big missions, which indicated the squadron you’ll be assigned to. (Fly anything you want for almost everything else) - JTFH maintains 4 dedicated servers that run 24/7, and run amazing PvE scenarios. - JTFH has a rank system, and maintains an HQ with the PERSCOM Soldier Management System, allowing pilots to easily find flights that suit them. - Our majority live in U.S. time zones, but have members from all over and we welcome you as long as we can speak English to one another. - We are dominantly PvE, with some PvP thrown in from time to time. Join our Discord HERE. ALSO - See our website at Joint Task Force Heavy!
  21. If you're interested in participating in a continuing series of scripted carrier squadron missions in DCS World, but not interested in joining one of the "biggest and best" squadrons, you should visit: http://www.vfa-41.com - US time zones. - Weekly missions on Sunday nights. Unscheduled missions... are unscheduled. - 9-phased mandatory basic training and qualification program. - F/A-18C Hornet required for qualification, all carrier aircraft supported. - VFA-41 Training Range server up 24/7 (all welcome). The VFA-41 squadron roster is limited to 12 pilots. The squadron will never get bigger than that. Black Aces roster slots are valuable and reserved for carrier pilots who will get up and fly, not for those who might fly if they can find the time. Each Black Ace is a critical member of the team, and missions require each to be ready to fly and fight in order to meet mission objectives. Expert pilots need not apply. VFA-41 does not seek expert pilots. The only requirement is that you have to want to fly, and be prepared to fly at least once a week. If you can't (or don't want to) commit to getting into your plane once a week, Black Aces roster slots are reserved for active pilots. If you see an open slot on the squadron roster, we're recruiting. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're looking for a squadron that will add you to their roster immediately when you submit an application, you should apply to one of the huge squadrons. VFA-41 does not operate like that. You will not be just another faceless name automatically added to an infinite roster with dozens of other members. Our goal is not to have the greatest number of members, but rather the have the right number of dedicated pilots to support ongoing missions. Applicants will be invited to interview with the CO and XO. VFA-41 does not offer trial memberships. If naval aviation is in your blood, and you're seeking a permanent home with other committed naval aviators, that empty slot on the Black Aces pilot roster may be waiting for you.
