I found that if F16 abandons AGM-65 in the air and lands back at the airport to re mount AGM-65, you will find that the power of AGM-65 is automatically turned on, and I did not manually turn it on. If you turn on and off the power at this time, the following situations will occur. I have also encountered situations where AGM-65 is abandoned in the air and landed at the airport without preheating or power on. Is this normal? Digital Combat Simulator 2024-04-07 13-15-39.mp4

George has a target lined up and lased, I told him to fire the missile, and he goes "ENGAGING!".... and then nothing happens. Anyone able to see why George is lying to me from the screenshot?

The heading says it all, I am having trouble doing this. To be clear, I am in CRM TWS mode with several track targets (the larger filled in squares). I am selecting TMS right short (long switches back to RWS) and often, though not always, I cannot get these Track targets to switch to System Targets, although sometimes some do and some don't. Is anybody able to elaborate for me or do I simply need more sweeps of the FCR? Thanks in advance.

First time I try the R/BOL mode and I must be doing something wrong. I set everything in the stores page (FLT, TERM, SEEK). Used the surface radar in SEA mode to lock a submarine. Maybe my lock was not directly spot on (difficult to get a perfect lock as the radar refreshes), but it was still almost on it. Mission I was flying needed me to report visual before attacking. So I had to get close, reported it and then flew away to around 10 nm. Turned around, made sure my radar lock was OK and shot. The Harpoon didn't fly at all towards my target. It seemed to be flying towards the waypoint I had active at the time. What did I do wrong?

During editing and testing a mission I created 4 groups of F-16s with 4 elements each. All datalinks, STN, Voice Callsigns, transmit power and flight details inserted in the editor but in-game nothing is the same. Example: Enfield 4 ship flight with STN from 00011 to 00014, Voice callsign EN11-14, transmit power high and for EN11 to be Flight Lead, during the mission is shown as EN12, STN 00011, OWN#2 which should be #1 as it's flight lead, transmit power MED and FL NO (Flight Lead). This also happens with the other elements in exactly the same way. The only option to have it in a correct way is to be manually inserted in-flight.

missing track file F16 tgp problem with markpoints and inr
Savta35 posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
Anybody else getting offset while making markpoints on the f16? On ccrp -slewing tgp to target -icp 7 setting it to tgp -tms up on target to set markpoint -dobber switch return -cursor zero -selecting stpt 26 Tgp is offset by couple meters Tried every manual i could find Same as with HUD/HMCS Also the same happens when i return to INR from area/point track I uploaded a video of the problems At first i show me switching back to inr After that is the markpoint problem (with and without lasing) -
I didn't found any change in Open Beta "change log" so I'm opening this as a BUG because I suspect this is a regression. Problem statement: All F-16 ECM pods are not making any difference (both in Deception and Noise Jamming modes) to legacy/old SAM radars and it's tracking, after one of recent DCS updates. I remember it worked pretty well. For SA-2 it was quite easy to break a lock, means was effective for Fan Song up to 12nm. In recent version of OpenBeta I not only cannot break a lock even at 20nm but also seems there is no difference in locking range under jamming conditions. To backup the story it worked some time ago, measurements for "DCS skynet IADS mod" of effectiveness of ECMs which simply does apply anymore. @NineLine@Raptor9 You seem to admit ECM is effective for AG. So was it changed recently without notification in change log or this is a regression ?

In March 2023 there was a fix in the changelog for the issue reported here: However this fix also partially applied to PRE for the AGM-65 Maverick. If this is correct, that should be fine if it was fully applied. The issue is that it was only partly implemented. The degrees was changed to 10s of degrees, however it was not changed to relative degrees like the CCRP mode was. Eg if the target was North 350 degrees of you and you were heading North, it used to show a bearing of 350. With the change it should should a 01 for 10 degrees off the nose (as it does when using a CCRP weapon). Instead, the 350 has changed to 35. Testing a full 360 turn the relative bearing should be changing constantly, but it does not. Instead of a track, it was more useful to make a short video showing the HUD behaviour:

Testing with Mk84s and Mk82LDs (including 3 on TER) showed when setting PAIRS only STA 7 releases the weapon on pickle Subsequent pickle releases STA 5 weapon For 3 Mk82s on STA 7 it releases 1 bomb per pickle and then only moves over to STA 5's 3 weapons, creating a 3-bomb asymmetry Off topic question - are most UFC and other functions like NWS supposed to be inhibited during weapons upload (on LOAD PAGE)? I've found the functions are accessible again only after the upload is complete.

Hey Folks, i think we already got this BUG some time ago, so maybe it´s back or not fixed at all. If you´re using the Mavs (E) for self lasing the button for RAID/FOV which is also used for feed switch between CCD and WH/BH becomes dead. I don´t know why this is the case but i tested it 2 times, if you start with your plane and then use the FLIR (the Big one) on your Belly Hardpoint you can use the RAID/FOV Button as intended and desired. If you box a mav and then try to use the RAID/FOV Button in your FLIR it is dead, you can´t switch the FOV and also CCD to WH/BH is without function. With Kind Regards ToastyBanK3nobi p.s.: MT Version with VR!

Dont know if its a bug or not implemented yet. On multiplayer while a pilot can send FARM reports, TGTs and other data throught DL the CPG cant as SEND button doesnt appear, is this expected, not implemented or a bug from a mp?

missing track file CPG display glare - literally unplayable
al531246 posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
Honestly this is one (of many) issues which puts me off the AH-64. I end up trying to CPG with my head on the floor or in some other quirky position. Please fix the glare. Anti glare 'technology' is not UFO tech, it's existed for a long time and AH-64's have it. Please remove this god awful glare. Track file not included. -
As shown in the screenshot, the unit names are not showing up correctly on the Com page in the Apache. They should show up in game as Saber and Crow.

missing track file radar can get stuck STT'ing a target
ChaosRifle posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
once you initiate an STT lock, the radar can get stuck in a state of trying to acquire an STT lock - when you undesignate, the radar tries to acquire an STT on the spot its looking at again, which, will be the target you just had locked. This results in the radar permanently locking a specific target, potentially making the radar entirely useless if it locks something not helpful (like distant awacs or rear echelon forces in 40nm trail) Radar screen symbology when you undesignate is showing AACQ in the top left, radar re-scans and tries to lock targets. If you are in this state and turn away from bandits, when you recommit the radar will lock the first thing it sees and get stuck on it (ie, recommit, you get a hit on their AWACS and it gets stuck STT'ing the AWACS). workarounds: switching weapons with WSS apparently breaks out of this state according to other users I have spoke to about it (cant personally confirm) changing radar mode (TWS/RWS/VS) cycling radar power system notes: Multithreaded binary, HMD on, HMD blanking off, otherwise stock configuration of the jet from hotstart. Bug happens to cold-started jets too though. video: https://clips.twitch.tv/LitigiousCooperativeBeanPogChamp-NhZo_PNiYK3hRGfe .BVR AI testing.miz -
When the player crosses 10nm from his bandit, the STT lock is lost 100% of the time, if an aim-7p is in flight towards target. fly at target, launch at ~15nm, keep closing distance, at 10NM the lock will be dropped (yes, even when they are not evading and in the doppler radar notch) drop of lock seems to be almost exactly 10nm every time (when the lock box becomes just outlines of the corners of a box), at which point fox-1's go stupid. workaround: ACM boresight the enemy to recover the lock, if you are fast enough the missile will begin homing again. system notes: Multithreaded binary, HMD on, HMD blanking off, otherwise stock configuration of the jet from hotstart. Bug happens to cold-started jets too though. video: https://clips.twitch.tv/ScrumptiousFlirtyKoupreyEleGiggle-88M2U86hGTtvKQv8 more footage of the issue, showing a workaround being used: https://clips.twitch.tv/SteamyHumbleJaguarRalpherZ-Ff4ItXayZTRO20c- fox1 Testing.miz

Lately I've been seeing issues with the TGP on the F16. my loadout is with guided munitions, however in the mission, the TPG never really "activates". I get the full TGP display with just a black screen. None of the MFD buttons work. before I post a bug, is anyone else seeing this, or what am I doing wrong? FYI: I'm using auto-startup procedures.

missing track file After takeoff, elevator no in default position
wywsy22 posted a topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Hello, Asking question again, why sometime my plane after takeoff the elevator still no able in default position, it go up making my plane keep nose up. How to make it to default position while in the air (with no landing request) -
I've been trying to get my loft bombing more accurate but no matter what I do, they always lands 100-300ft after the target. I keep speed 550-600+, about 6 miles from target I pull up to 30 degrees and don't make any inputs from there besides horizontal and it settles around 33-34 degrees. Hold trigger and the bombs goes away. And I tried different speeds, drop angles, how close to target before I pull up and always the same result. I even tried a level auto bombing and they still flew too far. Anyone has the same problem or perhaps can see what I do wrong? Thanks, GVO

Configured without tgp. No manipulation of spi. Selected steerpoint showed the dashed box around it which looked like the tgp fov symbology despite not carrying a tgp.

I just so happened to get a recording post mission with some friends after landing and rearming from a2a to a2g. I noticed my bomb line in ccip is either sideways, going upwards, or straight ahead in my hud...mission date is in 1992 and ins knob is in ifa. I'm not sure what happened but bombing the target was impossible due to the fact the fall line was every way but down..also wind set 5knts for mission out of the west

Hey, at the new ATFLIR the Point Track Mode does not work. Matt said in his video it's working like in the old Pod, but it won't work. I press the sensor controll switch to right to get the two brackets with the point inside over the moving target. But the pod will not follow the target, it doesn't matter if it's TV or IR mode. Any ideas? Putze
