WARGAMES Capture Airfield PVP/PVE Campaign server Server name 1 : [KB] WARGAMES - Caucasus PvP Server name 2: [KB] WARGAMES - Syria PvE WARGAMES PVP & PvE Capture the map by Kanelbolle/A Glutton For Punishment (old and new nick) Capture all the Enemy Airfields and defend friendly Airfields! Coalition sides ha as far as possible made to only have the appropriate equipment. Fully Persistent Airfield/Base Capture: If the server restarts. All the bases that was captured will still be on the side that captured it. Standard units and a FOB for that side will be deployed to the Airfield. (For now, will also be changed to fully persistent in later version) Persistent CTLD Units: 95% Persistent CTLD units. All placed CTLD groups will spawn in after server restart. Radio beacon and SAM limits not transferred (yet) Waypoints/route is not saved. ONLY PVP server: All fixed wing Aircraft must refuel before Startup! Capture instructions: Airfields that are objectives have RED and BLUE circles around them. 1. Clear the airfield of enemy ground vehicles! 2. Transport troops or ground vehicles with Helicopter near or to the airbase. 3. Move the transported troops or ground vehicles in to the airfield to capture it. (Using JTAC slots) 4. Create a FOB with helicopters near or on the base to be able to get creates from the airbase! ( Captured enemy airfields will not let you get troops or creates automatically! There will spawn a new FOB on server restart, but this is not the goal for future versions) Cargo and troop instructions (CTLD Available) : - "FOB" buildings are spawns for crates. FOB must be used and deployed 10km away from other "FOB" building. - Spawn Cargo crates by landed near a "FOB" and use the Radio menu -> F10 -> CTLD. - To build a new FOB you need 6 creates on the PvP server and 3 on the PvE server. - Crates can not be unpacked inside a radius of 10 Km from "ANY" active FOB. - Only UH-1H, Mi-8 and TF-51D can transport crates! CTLD unit deployment has a vide range of units, from ground attack units to Air defense units. Version History PvE: Beta 313 : - Changed the MOTD to only show 1 per hour of gameplay time. - Never ending F10 menu item "Mission Time left?" showing up fixed. (Temp fix before restart, reconnect to server) - Potential fix to Convoys spawning on Island bases and trying to attack mainland bases. All placed groups other then "Troops", "FOB" and "JTAC" will spawn a generic version of the unit/site on the position it was when the server restarted. (Nautral if no units are on the base) Beta 017: - Fixed most GroupId and unitId mixups caused by CTLD. - Added Persistent FOB's. Now if a FOB is placed it will spawn after server restart. Beta 015: - Added Semi Persistent CTLD units. All placed groups other then "Troops", "FOB" and "JTAC" will spawn a generic version of the unit/site on the position it was when the server restarted.   2. [BRAND NEW] RED STORM RISING - BATTLE FOR CYPRUS __________________ Introducing brand new of the Red Storm Rising - Dynamic Campaign PVP/PVE. We are kicking off things again here at RSR with a primarily helicopter based mission with also fixed wing. Before we release the server, we first wanted to discuss and receive feedback regarding our new mission. The server features brand new from scratch code aimed at improving performance. No old RSR code exists anymore, so you should notice increased performance of the mission. RSR 2.0 also includes many behind the scenes features such as automatic campaign resets and configurability. Brand New RSR Goals Provide a fun, simple, engaging experience. Scalable maps as players return. Fair dynamic PVP/PVE. Performant design. Battle for Cyprus Summary The objective is to capture all bases on the Island of Cyprus. Helicopters have been given a significant advantage with the kinds of units they can encounter on the island in addition to being the only aircraft slottable on the island. Fixed wings are limited to Incirlik and Beirut. To capture a base, all units must be destroyed on the field and a group of 5 command infantry units must be present. In addition, players can utilize FARPS, but must first capture them. All of the FARPs start with squishy insurgents. Bases will replenish after restart. Basic Server Rules Weapons are limited to only Fox-1, Fox-2, Laser Guided, and Rockets Cyprus has two FARPS for blue and red that are not capturable. Helicopters will always be able to spawn here. Incirlik and Beirut are also not capturable. Limited CTLD. You can sling some artillery, APCs, IFVs, and support/logistical crates. Don't expect much from them.   4. ODDBALL By Bear Inspired by the Halo game mode, this is my interpretation of it for DCS. Objective: Score more points than your opposition in two 12 minute halves and have fun with 2 fox2’s and guns. The Match: The 1st Half begins 3 minutes after the mission loads or sooner if both teams indicate they are ready using the F10 radio options. Each half is 12 minutes long and no points are earned after the first half horn or fulltime sound. Halftime statistics are shown for 1 minute before the server automatically loads the next half. The 2nd half begins 1 minute after mission load. Teams remain on the same Coalition for both the first half and the second half. The airbases change between halves. Scoring: Taking off before the round starts will give 100pts to the opposing team per illegal takeoff. Killing an enemy aircraft in the Scoring Zone (SZ) earns 5pts for your team. Fratricide will deduct 10pts from your team score. Getting the first kill in a half will make you the Ball Carrier. You will trail coalition colour smoke as the Ball Carrier. Killing the enemy Ball Carrier makes you the new Ball Carrier. The Ball Carrier will also earn points the longer they are in possession of it and dependant on where they are in the Scoring Zone. 10pts is added to the Team with the Ball every time the Scoring Bar is filled. The High Scoring Zone (HSZ) is centred on Bulls/WP3 and is where the Ball Carrier earns points the quickest. There is Black Smoke indicating the centre of the Scoring Zone starting when the round is active. The Warning Zone (WZ) is the band on the outside of the Scoring Zone and the Ball Carrier earns points much slower. In the event that the scores are tied at the end of Full Time, the first legitimate kill in the first half will determine the winner of that match. Limitations for Ball Carrier: There is a Hard Ceiling of 20000feet MSL. Breaking the ceiling as the Ball Carrier will Reset the Ball. The Ball Carrier will get a notification message when they are in the High Scoring Zone or when they enter the Warning Zone. Flying outside the Scoring Zone as the Ball Carrier will Reset the Ball. Firing a Missile as the Ball Carrier will Drop the Ball. Limitations for All: Firing a Missile from outside the Scoring Zone or anywhere above the Hard Ceiling will self-destruct the Missile and may cause damage to your own aircraft. Landing in the Scoring Zone will explode your aircraft. Use of Jammers is prohibited. Ball Available/Ball Reset/Dropped Ball: The ball becomes available when it is Reset or Dropped or the Ball Carrier crashes or ejects. The player who gets the next legitimate kill becomes the new Ball Carrier. Spawns/Repawns: All aircraft are hotstarted and ready to go. Pilots do not have the ability to rearm, refuel, change tail number or change skins. On spawn, look to the short side of the runway before taxiing forward and taking off down the middle to avoid potentially crashing into a spawning teammate. Players may respawn. Players may change aircraft types at their own discretion. Although not a requirement, they are highly recommended. All aircraft have these skins on them and if you do not have them installed you will not see them. Event will take place on the 9th July 2022 between 17:00 and 21:30 GMT. Briefing at 16:15 GMT. All matches will be run on the latest DCS World Open Beta with the Caucasus map. A Double Elimination with ‘if match’ competition ensures all teams get at least 2 matches each. The ‘if match’ will only be played if a team that reaches the Finals without any losses, loses that match. The 1st Placed team will receive 6x South Atlantic Maps for DCS and get to play in an Exhibition match against a special Razbam Team the weekend following this event on the South Atlantic map. Every match takes 30minutes (24mins flying time), with a 10-15minute break between each round. As the tournament progresses, there may be longer waiting times between rounds. Insufficient players in a match will not delay the match starting time, a team no show by 1st round start is a forfeit. Multiple practice servers running Oddball will be available for 1 week leading up to the event and on request. All matches will be played on DCS World Events servers located in Germany. Servers have a max ping of 350. Teams may only have 6 players join the server during a match, RIOs count as players. Players may only play on 1 Team and may not join a different team if their team is eliminated. Players may not share DCS Accounts and trial aircraft are not allowed. Breaking rules, unsportsmanlike conduct or cheating may lead to disqualification. Organisers decisions are final. Prizes are not exchangeable. The winning team captain shall PM the organiser with their list of their six chosen non Steam user accounts and corresponding email addresses to receive the South Atlantic Map. Players banned or blocked may not take part in this event. Depending on the number of teams signing up, teams will be randomly placed into a single Group or Multiple Groups. In the event of multiple groups, the winners of each group will play each other. A double ‘if match’ may apply here. We reserve the right to amend, add or remove certain rules prior to this event commencing via public notifications and the right to handle exceptions and unforeseen circumstances during the event if necessary. Negli anni, il 36° Stormo Virtuale, grazie al lavoro delle persone che si sono succedute alla sua guida ed ai suoi membri, è stato in grado di evolversi ed espandere le sue attività sulla maggior parte dei moduli presenti in DCS. Attualmente lo Stormo vanta ben quattro Gruppi di Volo, suddivisi diverse squadriglie fra Caccia, Bombardieri, Multi-Ruolo ed Elicotteri, con una media di circa 50 piloti attivi. La forza del 36° Stormo Virtuale è sicuramente la sua filosofia basata sulla condivisione delle conoscenze, non vi è infatti un sistema didattico basato sulla figura dell'istruttore, ma piuttosto un sistema di apprendimento basato sullo scambio di informazioni fra i vari piloti virtuali. Al fine di garantire gli standard operativi e l’uniformità delle procedure, i percorsi formativi sono guidati e supervisionati dal Comando di Stormo e dai Responsabili di Sezione Operativa che di giorno in giorno collaborano alla guida del gruppo e documentano le procedure mediante la produzione di appositi manuali pubblicamente condivisi e disponibili per chiunque sul nostro sito.   6. This is an issue on the PVP side of things, but I didn't see a mention of it in the bug tracker so I thought I'd give it a post! The Fishbed's radar doesn't produce a lock warning on the RWR if any human piloted aircraft in DCS. It does produce a nail when searching, and It even provides a launch warning when firing in R3R. But never a lock warning. The sequence when piloting an F5 or other aircraft in a PVP environment is: MiG flips radar on -> 21 nails appear. MiG locks you -> nails disappear MiG fires an R3R -> Still no nails, launch warning sounds. This may be related to the Fishbed's radar acting like a laser, though this is something I've just heard through the grapevine of discord.

  10. I'm wondering if there's anyone out there having lots of success using Voice Attack for PvP — if so, can you give any hints/tips how you get it to work most effectively? NOT using Voice Attack I noticed Growling Sidewinder saying he's having lots of success link hosting AWACS then using the Jester Menu > STT Lock > Choose Specific Target — however using Voice Attack we can't do that (unless I'm mistaken) I've only tried PvP a couple of times using Voice Attack, and tend to just say "Radar Mode TWS" (to go TWS Auto, not even sure if I need to do this), then wait for Jester to find targets on the radar/assign numbers, then say "Track single Target 1 (or whatever number) — to get lock. However I notice he loses lock a lot after I fire a Phoenix — seems to switch radar modes or something, so I end up often having to fire off a couple of missiles Also, what command do I use to to try and make sure it's an enemy and not a friendly? I've been using the map which feels like cheating and I'm imagining isn't an option on all servers? Why doesn't AIRIO have a command 'track single bandit ahead' — instead it only has bogey/friendly options, and bogeys CAN be friendlies, unless I'm mistaken? So yeah — any advice for all the commands/techniques you use to do well in PvP using VoiceAttack / AIRIO much appreciated. Thanks, Kingfish

Since 2022, After the ceasefire ordered by the Council of nations, Syria Has spent the last 20 years gearing up for war. Syria and the Council of Nations are not willing to allow the dictatorship to have such a large arsenal. The border needs to be reinforced to protect Israel from a possible Syrian Invasion. Once the border is reinforced, we can start the push into Syria to remove the dictator from power. Damascus is heavily reinforced by his followers. Destroy factories and airfields. Frequencies can be found in your kneeboard. There are Easter Eggs in this server mission. Good luck finding them! What this means is, everything you do is kept on the server after a restart. Supply There is a finite amount of supply for both Syria and Israel. This means if you take off in a helicopter or a jet, and loose the aircraft that will no longer be in the supply However, there are factories across the map for resupply of Airframes, Fuel, Munitions, and troops. Don't forget that you will need to resupply the airfields and FARPS with the required munitions.   14. DCS Air-to-Air Grundlagenkurs by GTAG Es ist wieder soweit, die GTAG bietet wieder ein Draftee Air-to-Air Grundlagenkurs für alle begeisterten DCS Piloten an. Welche Kenntnisse sollte ich mitbringen? Du solltest die Grundlagen und Steuerung deines Flugzeugs prinzipiell beherrschen. Zudem solltest du dein Radar, deine A2A Bewaffnung und deine Gegenmaßnahmen bedienen können. Welche Inhalte vermittelt der Kurs? Gemeinsam fangen wir bei den Grundlagen an, können aber deutlich schneller zu den wirklich spannenden Themen kommen, sofern das Wissen dafür schon vorhanden sein sollte. Nachdem Euch die Grundlagen von Commits, Cranks, Notches, Shoots, RWR und SA in der Theorie vermittelt wurden, wird dieses Wissen Stück für Stück mithilfe von betreuten 1vs1 Fights gefestigt. Das bedeutet, dass Ihr während euren Fights durch einen Flightinstructor unterstützt werdet, der Euch live „über die Schulter schaut“. Anschließend werden die Fights gemeinsam mit TacView analysiert, Schwächen, gute/schlechte Manöver identifiziert und die Situational Awareness geschult. Nach ein paar Wochen werden wir mit den 2vs2 Fights anfangen, dort werdet ihr durch einen erfahrenen Flightlead an die Hand genommen und erlernt den gemeinsamen Luftkampf im Team! Wann geht’s los? We are looking for new members, inexperienced or experienced, we will train you to a high standard of BVR Combat. Our only requirement that we have is that you already own a HOTAS and some sort of Head tracking. The aircraft that we are accepting applications for are F-14A Pilots & RIO F-14B Pilots & RIO F-16C F/A-18 Our main squadron activity takes place on populated multiplayer servers but organized training against other DCS squadrons and groups are planned. We can also design and build individual training to be held on a private server for a more controlled learning environment. Our primary goal is to improve whilst having fun (isn’t that what it’s all about?), focused on improving individual skills and how to work together, no matter what your skill level is.
