  1. Ugra-media “Middle East” project The “Middle East” project is a unique theater of operations, which includes missions and companies of military confrontation in the Middle East from the mid-1970s to the present. This project allows users to use virtually the entire arsenal of military equipment and DCS aircraft and includes the reproduction of the events of one of the largest military conflicts of our time: - The War of the Doomsday of 1973; - Lebanon war of 1982; - The release of Syria from the terrorists in 2017. The project will present a map of 610 * 440 km in size, which includes almost all the states on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It will present such large cities as Israeli Haifa and Shefaran, Lebanese Beirut and Tripoli, Turkish Adana and Gaziantep, Jordanian Irbit and Jerash, and of course the cities of the Syrian Arab Republic - Damascus, Homs, Hama, Lattakia, Iglib, Aleppo, Raqka and etc. In the project you can see the real monuments of ancient architecture - the colonnades and the amphitheater of Palmyra, the citadel of Allepo, the fortress of Krak de Chevalier, the mosque of Muhammad Al - Amin and others. More than 20 airfields will be implemented on the map, including the international airports of Damascus and Beirut, the US airbase Incirlik. And of course, the base of the Russian VKS Hmeymim and the Navy base Tartus will be presented. Recall that Syria is a state in the Middle East, bordering Lebanon and Israel in the southwest, with Jordan in the south, with Iraq in the east and with Turkey in the north. Washed by the Mediterranean Sea to the west. The modern statehood of Syria has a little more than 70 years, but civilization originated here as far back as the 4th millennium BC. the capital is Damascus, one of the oldest, constantly inhabited cities in the world. In addition, Damascus is also the oldest of all modern capitals in the world. Bye Phant
  2. Anticipation Builds: The Upcoming DCS F-4 Phantom Hey fellow aviators, I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling the excitement bubbling up as we await the arrival of the DCS F-4 Phantom! With its storied history and iconic design, the Phantom promises to be a game-changer in the world of flight simulation. For those who might not be familiar, the F-4 Phantom II is a legendary aircraft that has seen action in numerous conflicts around the globe. From its service in Vietnam to its role in the Cold War and beyond, the Phantom has cemented its place in aviation history as a versatile and formidable fighter. As we eagerly await its release in the Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) world, there's plenty to look forward to. Just imagining the adrenaline rush of flying this beast, whether it's engaging in dogfights, executing precision strikes, or navigating through challenging missions, gets the heart racing. Moreover, knowing the attention to detail that Heatblur puts into their modules, we can expect nothing short of perfection when it comes to the flight model, cockpit fidelity, and overall immersive experience of the DCS F-4 Phantom. Of course, with every new module comes a learning curve, and I'm sure many of us are gearing up to dive deep into the intricacies of operating this aircraft. From mastering its unique flight characteristics to understanding its array of weapons systems, there will be no shortage of challenges and rewards for pilots of all skill levels. But perhaps most exciting of all is the prospect of joining together as a community to share our experiences, tips, and tricks once the DCS F-4 Phantom is finally in our virtual hangars. Whether it's swapping war stories, coordinating multiplayer missions, or simply geeking out over the finer details of this legendary aircraft, the camaraderie that comes with being part of the DCS community is something truly special. So, as we countdown the days until the release of the DCS F-4 Phantom, let's keep the excitement alive and continue to build anticipation for what promises to be an unforgettable addition to the DCS line-up. Fly safe, everyone, and see you in the virtual skies! [VAF] CO | "AWOL" Recoat 6 Squadron (Spartons), Virtual Air Force https://discord.gg/virtualairforce
  3. Greetings, The Virtual Airforce (VAF) is a virtual fighter squadron that operates in DCS. We are a milsim-lite group focused on multi-airframe operations and camaraderie. Our well-established European wing boasts an average member age of 30+, creating a mature environment. VAF currently has operational squadrons flying the F-15E, F-16C, F/A-18C, AV8B. We recently opened a dedicated F-4E Phantom II squadron as well. Twice weekly, these squadrons conduct a mix of formal training and operational deployments. We welcome new and experienced pilots to lead additional airframes. We also seek dedicated ATC controllers - ground, tower, approach, GCI, and JTAC - to establish a controller unit within VAF. This key role has proven difficult to fill. If our squadron appeals to you, please connect with me for introductions. We look forward to welcoming fellow aviators and controllers into our ranks! https://discord.gg/virtualairforce
  4. Announcing the release of Alpha Station : Chapter One Alpha Station UNITED STATIONS QUICK REACTION FORCE In 1978, the United Nations created a quick reaction force able to respond to crises around the world in minimal time. Though due to the large number of flare ups in the Middle East, this force was established to handle conflicts anywhere. Many countries donated equipment and manpower to the cause, but a few nations saw the opportunity to contribute to a cause able to potentially stop hostilities before they flared into regional affairs. These countries, the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany, donated the bulk of the larger equipment. The United States in particular donated several smaller aircraft carriers and the aircraft to staff them as well as two full air transport units The force was designated as the United Nations Quick Reaction Force and fell under control of the UN Secretary General and the Security Council. The force was assembled in Southern Turkey due in large part to the available training area, but also because there was a good chance that would be relatively close to their first action. A large influx of supplies and equipment have been flowing to the training centers at Incirlik and Gazipasa. Unfortunately most of the donor nations haven’t had time to repaint their donations so the individual QRF units are working to repaint and remark their units as able. The personnel in the UN QRF are taken from military units among all UN members. Preference was given to aircrew, ships crew, maintenance and other specialty skills. Pay is still handled by service members military branches. Your unit is the 2nd Tactical Strike Squadron. Currently you are split between Gazipasa and Incirlik but you and a handfull of others were selected to operate out of Gazipasa. As your unit develops its procedures, it was generally agreed that US Navy procedures would be a base as everybody is familiar with them. Ground crews and other agencies are filled out from member nations so you may experience a variety of different nationalities as you serve. Beginning your assignment, this will basically be a wring out as everybody gets used to operating together and checking out your equipment. Everybody in your unit has flown the A4 for a while, but you are the only one to be operating aircraft you were actually assigned to. ……….. Stage One of the campaign will be ramp up and getting your feet under you…for Stage Two. There are several scripts enabled within each mission : MOOSE - ATIS and AIRBOSS, MIST for Target Information Tracking Script (TITS), splash damage script. There are reminders on each mission, but for all these scripts to run properly, when the role select screen is presented, press ESC to make the menu go away, then again to go ahead select your role. If you have never used TITS before, spend some time on Mission 5 getting acquainted with the menus before hitting the range your first time. You are able to specify targets for designation by the range controller . They will fire a smoke rocket, if requested, that will be near your requested target. You will also get target elevation information. Prior to engaging your target, select ROLLING IN off the range menu otherwise the controllers will be angry with you and you will not get drop results. You may select OFF TARGET after each pass to get results for each pass or when you are all done with your range time to get a full result list. If you have never used AIRBOSS before, do the same thing prior to Mission 13. There are a number of controls you can activate within the menus, but for basic pattern and landing you won’t be required to do anything. The F10 menu for AIRBOSS replaces the stock ATC menu. You can contact Marshall inside 50 miles. You will receive Marshall stack instructions from the Marshall controller. You will get advisories along the way from the controller on stack positioning as well as when the carrier is beginning recovery activities if they weren’t already. Once you have worked your way down the stack and are starting your initial, change frequencies to the LSO controller for final instructions and landing scores. When departing off the carrier be tuned to the MARSHALL controller who will notify you of radar contact after launch and will then release you from control as you depart the area. If you are staying in the pattern select EMERGENCY LANDING prior to launching and you will be automatically sequenced into the downwind pattern by the LSO controller. LINKS HERE:: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/h4b5vd5mbz4k5uwrni1au/h?rlkey=anbtjhhef9wp0gccaxgmusit3&dl=0` I considered packaging them all together into one big Zip but, aside from being a VERY large file, I haven't looked yet into permissions etc from the mod creators. This is what you would call a Beta+ release. This is my first campaign and it was alot of work so I'm sure there's things I missed. I am totally open to any suggestions and bug reports. Be advised, this is NOT a teaching campaign, some knowledge of the aircraft and its systems are required to complete these missions...some more than others. 5. "The Cedar and the Rooster : A Mirage Story" is a fictional story-based 10 mission campaign for the Mirage 2000C, fully voiced-over, taking place in the Middle East. Briefing doc and kneeboard available for each mission. Situation : February 1993. Despite the end of the civil war in 1990, Lebanon is remaining in a unsettled situation. Militias, directed undercover by Syria and Iran, are agitating the country. After heated discussions within the international community, France has decided to send 4 Mirage 2000s to ensure Lebanon air policing. Link https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3319066/ Hi everyone ! Here is my second campaign for the Mirage 2000. The first one can be found here : https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3314265/ The two campaigns share the same mind set. If you enjoyed the first one, I'm sure you'll enjoy the second. Feel free to comment, ask, report, ... R.MES
  6. I don't know if anyone else is having this issue, but its driving me bananas. When flying the UH-1H in the Syria map I get a beacon that I can't turn off. Easy comms off, all radios off, marker beacon volume off. Nothing seems to stop it. Its probably something simple I'm missing. Please help.

  8. Hello, I have edited a few training missions for the recently released Aerges Mirage F1, as the built-in training wasn't close enough to the procedures of the real aircraft and lacked voiceovers, which diminishes immersion. Also, the built-in missions are set at the Caucasus Map, a place where the F1 never operated. As some players don't like to perform the check steps of most procedures, I designed the missions in such a way that you can skip some parts, like the Checks, or the taxi and shutdown on some of the missions. For the voiceovers, I used a synthetic voice witk british accent ... it is certainly better than my weak english. You can download these missions here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3327803/ Mission Installation: The file is a zipped OvGME-ready file, to be installed on the same path as the built-in training: ..\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Mirage-F1\Missions\EN\Training\ on this way, you can choose between the built-in missions, or mine: This should not affect the Integrity Check in any way, but if you prefer not to mess with the standard DCS install, then you can extract the .MIZ file and place them wherever you like. Fly them using the MISSION rather than the TRAINING menu of DCS, like this: If you find a bug or want to comment, please don't do it on the DCS User Files section, as it will not alert me about it. Instead, provide that feedback on this Forum thread Missions Walkthroughs: I have prepared video walkthroughs for each mission, so that you can have a better idea of what to expect on each: M01 Cold Start: M02 Taxi - Takeoff & Climb: M03 VFR Landing - Taxi & Shutdown: M04 IFR Landing - Taxi & Shutdown: M05 IFR Night Landing - Taxi & Shutdown: Identical to the M04 mission, but with darker skies, to force you to rely more on the ILS for landing: Future Missions: I intend to add more missions for this series, comprising Weapons Training, stay tuned Eduardo

  13. >>Preface<< "This mission has been edited to have the possibility of using three different and most commonly used modules on the same Syria map: F-18C, F-16C and A-10 II". >>Briefing<< We are in the theater of war of the Sirya, it is of fundamental importance to hit some strategic objectives through a "Strike and CAS" mission. If we decide to fly an F-18C or a Viper, we will have the exact same objectives, namely an enemy Command and Control Center and a SCUD missile post inside a military base south-east of Aleppo. Group A-10 II will have a different target, CAS mission northeast of the Aleppo position. The objective is to hit an enemy heavy gun emplacement with the help of the JTAC. During the mission, however, information that may be useful for the success of the mission will be displayed. In flight there will also be other packages managed by the AI, so pay attention to any type of information while browsing. This is a simple Strike and CAS missions for all aircraft listed. Each flight package has its WPs available until the target is reached. It starts from Incirlik airport, runway 23 authorized with exit on WP 02 Gate Venus. Once at WP 03, indicated as AAR Minesota, a refueling with the available Tanker must be carried out before arriving on the target area. The mission is accomplished the moment you receive the notification that the targets have been hit. I recommend that you follow all the procedures, as well as being an operational mission, it can also be useful for training. Attention to Taftanaz Area, area is restricted due to the possible presence of enemy surface-to-air missile positions. Download file.miz and please leave a comment if you liked the mission. Thanks
  14. DCS OpenBeta 2.7.7 Server IP: 144.217.252.42:10308 SRS: 144.217.252.42:5002 LotAtc: Request Access Tacview: Request Access General Server Idea What we wanted to bring to the DCS community is a server that will be persistent, hardcore, and fun. While we are mainly Rotary wing focused, this does not mean we do not like the fixed-wing airframes. Helping other players in building FARP, units, and capturing airfields is a very important part of our server. Discord<<Click me Situation Israel and Syria have been in conflict for thousands of years. Since 2022, After the ceasefire ordered by the Council of nations, Syria Has spent the last 20 years gearing up for war. Syria and the Council of Nations are not willing to allow the dictatorship to have such a large arsenal. The border needs to be reinforced to protect Israel from a possible Syrian Invasion. Once the border is reinforced, we can start the push into Syria to remove the dictator from power. Damascus is heavily reinforced by his followers. Destroy factories and airfields. Frequencies can be found in your kneeboard. There are Easter Eggs in this server mission. Good luck finding them! Game Plan Reinforce the front line(indicated on map) Push the Syrian forces from the border Move into Syria and capture the Factories, Airfields, and strategic points Dwindle the Syrian forces until the supply is low enough for an attack on Damascus Assassinate the Dictator Persistence This server is persistent, constantly evolving campaign. What this means is, everything you do is kept on the server after a restart. Supply There is a finite amount of supply for both Syria and Israel. This means if you take off in a helicopter or a jet, and loose the aircraft that will no longer be in the supply However, there are factories across the map for resupply of Airframes, Fuel, Munitions, and troops. Don't forget that you will need to resupply the airfields and FARPS with the required munitions. Statistics We save stats on the server, that includes but not limited to; Flight hours Kills Deaths Weapons Specifics AI specifics Rules Be kind.... Work together No trolling No Teamkilling Combined Arms Yes! We love combined arms users! If you would like to have the ability to have a combined arms slot, do not hesitate to ask! We keep the slots limited to users who are on the discord and have some form of reputation with Gracey's Village. This keeps trolls, and griefing to a minimum Weather The weather is a slightly bumpy, and chilly light overcast. The time starts at 730 am(first run) and continues through the night into the next day. Weather can change overtime.

  19. Hi, Several mountain peaks in Israel, Lebanon and Turkey are snow capped in winter (e.g. Mount Hermon, Mount Lebanon range, Anti-lebanon range, Taurus mountains). I'm wondering if this will be implemented in the Syria map?
  20. an updated version of this with more images, there is a Syrian/Russian helo base missing, its on the west coast of Syria, it hosts Mi-24, Mi-8 and some Ka-27's its at N 35.28.10.25 E 35.55.14.09 elev ~64m this image was from 2016 (around when our map is set) the base sits 6.50km 338 degrees north of Basel Al Assad what it looks like in dcs, (i added the grey to show the outline of the base) some images that as far as i can tell are from the base
  21. Hi friends, i do not know if anyone else has this issue with the Syria map. Unless one has a superhigh-end PC , the Syria map is for me almost not possible to use or design in in the mission editor, unless i run all settings in a low state. Unlike the other maps , this map requires a lot of memory and CPU and i almost regret buying it. The loading time is crazy long , let alone trying to populate the map in the editor ! All my other maps run great in medium to high settings and as a user i don't want to go lower then that of course. I wonder if anyone else have these issues too and/or have a solution. * PC: Intel genuine i7 , 16 GB DDR5, GeForce RTX 3060 12GB DDR6 Any suggestions welcome friends, Thanks in advance. RWC
  22. Are there any land based gunnery and bombing ranges anywhere on the Syria map? Are there any on the Turkish part? What about sea based training zones?
  23. Units that drive over the dam fall into the spillway and get stuck. The Unit appears to not drive on the road mesh, but on a part of the spillway slightly beneath the road mesh. Then it falls down into the spillway and the convoy is stuck. When arriving at the spillways from the other side, the units try to drive around it and get stuck too. Here are pictures, a track and a mission that shows the issue: null null null SyriaDamBug.trk SyriaDamBug.miz
