  1. This topic mainly addresses Hellenic Virtual Aviators, so most if not all parts will be in the Greek language. If you are keen on finding out what we discuss about, please use your browser’s translation capabilities. Εισαγωγή Καλώς Ήλθατε στο νήμα της παρέας Πήγασος. Το παρόν είναι μία μικρή παρουσίαση της παρέας μας στο Forum της Eagle Dynamics, αλλά θα αποτελέσει και δίαυλο επικοινωνίας και ενημέρωσης προς την Ελληνική κοινότητα του Digital Combat Simulator για τα δρώμενα μας. Η Πήγασος είναι μία παρέα Ελλήνων, φίλων της αεροπορικής ιδέας και των εικονικών πτήσεων. Δραστηριοποιούμαστε κυρίως στον εξομοιωτή Digital Combat Simulator με κύριο στόχο την διασκέδαση μέσω της εκτέλεσης συνεργατικών (PvE) αποστολών αλλά και ανταγωνιστικών (PvP) ανάμεσα στα μέλη της παρέας. Τρόπος εισόδου για νέα μέλη Η όλη πορεία μας μέχρι σήμερα, έχει διαμορφώσει και τον τρόπο με τον οποίο είμαστε διατεθειμένοι να προσθέσουμε νέα μέλη στην παρέα. Η χημεία ανάμεσα μας είναι κάτι που θέλουμε να διαφυλάξουμε ως κόρη οφθαλμού. Ο μοναδικός τρόπος λοιπόν για είσοδο στην παρέα της Πήγασος, είναι μέσω προσωπικής πρόσκλησης από υφιστάμενο μέλος. Κοινώς δεν τρέχει στην παρούσα φάση κάποια ανοιχτή διαδικασία προσθήκης νέων μελών. Ελληνικά φροντιστήρια (tutorial) για το DCS Ένας πολύ καλός λόγος για να εγγραφείτε και να παρακολουθείτε το παρόν νήμα, είναι η πρόθεση μας να παράξουμε Ελληνικά tutorial για κάποια από τα αεροσκάφη του DCS. Έχουμε ήδη κάποια έτοιμα που μπορείτε να βρείτε στο κανάλι μας στο youtube, σε ξεχωριστό playlist στο οποίο επίσης σας προσκαλούμε να εγγραφείτε.   2. Hello, I’m gonna give those fresh f14 pilots some useful tips for aerial refueling, I will provided in a list of tips. You could correct me if I’m wrong, I’m happy to accept your opinion 1 TRIM THE AIRCRAFT, tomcat doesn’t have fly by wire which requires some but not constant trimming to balance the aircraft’s AoA and vertical speed, if you don’t trim but instead wrongfully use full stick to control the aircraft then you will be impossible to refuel as it will pitch up&down drastically, so LEARN TO TRIM. 2 CONSTANT THROTTLE ADJUSTMENTS, tomcat both A&B requires CONSTANT &small while sometimes slightly excessive throttle adjustment to control the approach and leave speed to the basket, if you only make slow and nearly static throttle control, then you will quickly realize that you will either overspeed, or simply to slow to react to the speed of tanker, if you make constant adjustments, you will realize that tomcat is much easier to control in speed than a nearly static throttle , furthermore, the throttle also exert a massive impact on the unpredicted sink or rise due to turbulence, correctly adjusted the throttle up and down together with slight stick control will magically and effectively reduce the effects of turbulence, trust me 3 Don’t be rushy to catch up the tanker, many fresh f14 pilots are rushy to catch up the tanker and result in excessive overspeed and outpace the tanker, like I said, constant throttle adjustment is the magic wand to approach to tanker steadily without excessive overspeed. 4 The correct way to control the throttle is like pushing it forward slightly to certain extent to engage an approach and return slightly when it is too fast, and with constant small adjustments to throttle up and down will make f14 apparently more controllable in approach speed, and you will also find that you don’t need too much stick adjustment to stabilize to aircraft. 5You would need some slight but not too much stick movement before the contact and after to stabilize, you would need experience to learn it 5 The DLC thumb wheel will also help you to extent and retract the leading edge slats to compensate the undesirable pitch, heatblur didn’t mention this functionality in the manual but it act works. Trust me And lastly, get yourself a good flight sim rig, it’s straight impossible to refuel with keyboard

  4. DCS Air-to-Air Grundlagenkurs by GTAG Es ist wieder soweit, die GTAG bietet wieder ein Draftee Air-to-Air Grundlagenkurs für alle begeisterten DCS Piloten an. Welche Kenntnisse sollte ich mitbringen? Du solltest die Grundlagen und Steuerung deines Flugzeugs prinzipiell beherrschen. Zudem solltest du dein Radar, deine A2A Bewaffnung und deine Gegenmaßnahmen bedienen können. Welche Inhalte vermittelt der Kurs? Gemeinsam fangen wir bei den Grundlagen an, können aber deutlich schneller zu den wirklich spannenden Themen kommen, sofern das Wissen dafür schon vorhanden sein sollte. Nachdem Euch die Grundlagen von Commits, Cranks, Notches, Shoots, RWR und SA in der Theorie vermittelt wurden, wird dieses Wissen Stück für Stück mithilfe von betreuten 1vs1 Fights gefestigt. Das bedeutet, dass Ihr während euren Fights durch einen Flightinstructor unterstützt werdet, der Euch live „über die Schulter schaut“. Anschließend werden die Fights gemeinsam mit TacView analysiert, Schwächen, gute/schlechte Manöver identifiziert und die Situational Awareness geschult. Nach ein paar Wochen werden wir mit den 2vs2 Fights anfangen, dort werdet ihr durch einen erfahrenen Flightlead an die Hand genommen und erlernt den gemeinsamen Luftkampf im Team! Wann geht’s los? Geplanter Start ist in der 41. KW, also zwischen dem 11. und 17. Oktober. Generell finden die Termine am Dienstag und/oder Donnerstag statt. This post is here to: explain how to read the different sections of the dcs.log file, reassure users seeing a lot of errors in their logs (yes, some error messages are widespread and meaningless). Remember: everything is subject to change. That includes log files. The log used here as an example shows the AJS37 module crashing because of this bug. 1. Hey everyone, I WILL UPDATE THIS REGULARLY WITH WHAT I AM WORKING ON NEXT Just making a quick post to inform all the Viper drivers that I have started a more advanced tutorial series for the F-16C in DCS. So far, I have gotten through the start-up, which is by what I have seen one of the most accurate and detailed videos on starting up the F-16C, I also just got done with a Taxi and Take-off video and I am currently working on the landing video. I am going to do a separate video going over more advanced portions of taking off and landing (i.e., taking off and landing with an asymmetric loads and belly landings). The videos I have currently made have already gotten a good reaction which is why I am making this post. My videos are aimed towards beginners and are even for people who have been flying the F-16 in DCS since release but even if you have been flying since release you might still learn something new. If you watch any of my videos, please feel free to correct something that you feel is incorrect or feel that it should be added. I know there are a bunch of tutorials and I have just about watched them all and none of them go into as much detail as mine, so I feel that what I am offering is new and refreshing especially if you want to operate and fly the F-16 to as close to its real-life counterpart as possible.   10. I'm just testing this module to see if I'd like to purchase but I don't see how anyone can enjoy it. The way it feels and the bugs, and Jester, why? It flies like bucket of bolts made of lead. The RIO Tutorial is missing the console buttons you have to press during the Tutorial? This is not a finished product, and puts shame to the F14, makes me cry inside a little as this is my ultimate favourite fighter aircraft IRL. Is anyone else having the same issues or shares the same views?

Hi, I encountered a few bugs in the F/A-18 training mission named "HSI Overview and TACAN-ADF Navigation". 1) After pushing the HSI push button, VEC push button is highlighted without any explanation and - I believe - any meaning. 2) After the ADF explanation, one is asked to push the TCN push button which is claimed to be boxed afterwards. It is not boxed after this, this might be related to #3. 3) A few moments later, one is asked to enter 67X into the UFC, press ENT and spacebar afterwards. After doing so, the explanation continues to refer to things that should be visible on the HUD and HSI but they are NOT visible. They only become visible once the TCN push button is pressed on the left DDI. If the actual behavior is correct, the solution is to add the additional TCN button press. Thanks.
