#UPDATE: I uploaded a HowTo PDF with more informations and WIP pictures to Thingiverse. You can also download it from here: https://milkris.de/s/fn9isEywRaWQjxR DISCLAIMER: I’m not a professional maker! It’s not perfect, but it works and I’m fine with the result. Instead, I would install rotary encoders in place of the potentiometers. This way, you can also use the BBI-64 Button Box Interface (which doesn't support axes), but has enough inputs, and you'll save the 12-button USB board. https://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=94&products_id=300 !! NOTE !! This thing is BIG! If you have a small printer like me (Creality Ender 3), you have to print some parts WITHOUT rafts!!! The UFC can be mounted slightly tilt forward or straight. There are two option you can print. You can label the panels by changing the filament at the appropriate print height in Cura (etc.). I only did this for the buttons. I printed the other labels on adhesive film. I made these prints resistant with acrylic paint. So, there is an option "NO-LABELS" for some STL parts. I have attached a suitable PNG or here https://milkris.de/s/DtK6gxqaiAgqQTo. This can be easily printed on A4 adhesive film. For some areas in the interior, such as the housing for the electrical boards and the back panel of the UFC, I simply used a 3mm PVC foam board. I simply used a Leobodnar BU0836X USB board, as well as a simple 12-button joystick USB board. It's not pretty, but it works out of the box. Of course, you can also use a different solution (Arduino, etc.). # Note: I wouldn't use potentiometers next time, even though it might be less tactile and realistic. Instead, I would install rotary encoders in place of the potentiometers. This way, you can also use the BBI-64 Button Box Interface (which doesn't support axes), but has enough inputs, and you'll save the 12-button USB board Since I already use a 4K monitor and three 7" MFD screens, my monitor outputs were scarce. The solution was the "Matrox TripleHead2Go". I got the DP version cheaply on eBay. Here I combined my three 800x600 MFD screens into one 2400x600 screen. Now I only need one DP connection to the graphics card for my three MFDs, and I can connect the UFC to the graphics card with a DP to HDMI cable. The viewpoint export must be adjusted exactly so that the lines are readable. Please refer to the pictures at Thingiverse! Since I change the UFCs, throttles, and joysticks depending on the aircraft i fly, I have created various PowerShell scripts for starting DCS, which accordingly adjust the MonitorConfig, etc. before starting DCS If you only use the UFC in VR, you can also simply use a red acrylic glass instead of the LCD screen. It's alive!!! it's a mess My little helper have soldered most of the wires My little corner. Full convertible Cockpit.

Is there any way to select a waypoint on CDU/UFC? 'Cuz everytime I have to use my DMS Forward/AFT buttons when HUD is SOI. It changes one by one. I don't wanna change one by one. I wanna select Waypoint 18 on UFC and then change it as my steerpoint. Is there a solution?

Pressing the SPC button on the UFC inserts 2 spaces, one for pressing and one when releasing the button. Happens when clicking on it with the mouse too The CDU SPC works as expected, inserting only a single space for one press+release

After updating to the latest software (1.8.18), my UFC/HUD controls are not recognized in SimApp Pro and the exports from the game are not working on the physical MIP UFC controller. The game recognizes the controller is there and functions correctly with all of the buttons/knobs, etc., so it is being detected by Windows and DCS, just not in the SAP software. I tried doing the repair lua function and that did not solve the problem. I tried unplugging the USB-C cable to the controller and plugging it back in, but that did not work either. I have the ST throttle, SL joystick, CR and TO panels, and the 3 MFDs connected, and they are all recognized and working correctly in SAP. Anyone else seeing this or know of a way to roll back to the previous version of the SAP software to troubleshoot?

* Tested in the Caucasus Map, SP mode * The backup AA/AG mode selection logic through the DED and UFC appears to be inverted. According both to the Viper early access manual and to the -34, pressing M-SEL on the DED MODE page should activate the displayed mode (e.g. pressing M-SEL when AA mode is displayed should make the jet enter AA mode). Currently this behavior appears to be inverted, both on the ground and in the air. As you can see from the track, pressing M-SEL with AA mode displayed brings up the AG mode and vice versa. Super Hornet inspired UFC Control app for the F\A-18C for DCS World. I've been working on this app for a while, since UFCs are difficult to build i decided to make this app and use it with a 8 inch fire HD tablet in my cockpit setup. I added some extra features like the ability to control some of the panels and i currently working on adding a Data Cartridge feature to input way points faster. I tested everything i could and everything seems to be working so far. I would really appreciate if you guys can report bugs back to me. I'm also open for suggestions on extra features to add, etc. For now the APP is only available for Android but I'm in the process of submitting the app to the Apple App Store. Let me Know what you think! Hope you guys Enjoy The APP! INSTRUCTIONS: Video Tutorial: Coming Soon 1- Get The App: Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.embarcadero.HornetUFCDCS iOS https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hornet-ufc-dcs/id1604694496#?platform=ipad 2- Download the lastest release of HornetUFCDCSAppServer from the GitHub Repository https://github.com/AlphaMikeSimulation/HornetUFCDCS/releases 3- Unzip The Content somewhere in your hard drive( Desktop Or C Drive For Example) 4- Copy the DCS-BIOS Folder yo your Scripts folder ( C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts) 5- Edit your export.lua file and add this to the end of the file: dofile(lfs.writedir()..[[Scripts\DCS-BIOS\BIOS.lua]]) 6- Open the HornetUFCDCSAppServer.exe and go to settings and inpiut the IP Address of the Tablet or Phone that you are using for the HORNET UFC DCS App 7- Click in Shutdown Server and Start the server again for the new IP to take effect 8- Open HORNET UFC DCS In your phone or tablet and go to settings, input the IP of the computer that you are using for running DCS World 9- Open DCS World and wait for HornetUFCDCSAppServer status to change status from DCS Not Running To Waiting for DCS... 10- Open any Mission and wait for the HornetUFCDCSAppServer status to change to Connected 11- Now you can control the UFC from your phone or tablet, ENJOY!

I used to fly with P33tr's DCS UFC and DCS Nav apps, and loved them immensely. But on windows 11 stable and after the recent DCS updates, the apps don't work anymore: the COMM manu does work, but all data that goes from the PC to the tablet is dead. it used to work fine, I have all ports etc. open, firewall rules in & out, correct IP addresses in the config. But nothing works. anyone else suffering this or has a smart workaround? Config.lua

Hello fellow Pilots! As @AlphaJuliet wrote in one of his Threads there has been a known Bug - Am I the only one not beeing able to edit existing waypoints or create new ones by LAT / LONG coordinates? My standard procedure (not working anymore): - EHSD-->DATA page - WYPT active - choose waypoint or create new one - edit POS by entering LAT/LONG (same way as in INS alignment) - press ENT - same for ELEV - (check setting again) - exit Data page To be honest, I have not been sitting in the Harrier for a few months. Is there a new procedure now? But the entered coordinates do not save anymore. Therefore I cannot fly my CAS... On Reddit you can read a lot of postings that this bug has still not been fixed: Tried a few solutions such as creating a MK1 or creating new TOO first and editing coordinates afterwards. --> Nothing seems to work for me! Your help will be apprecaited Thanks & best regards, LonestarR
