Not sure if we're doing something wrong or if this is a bug. I have not been able to find anything similar reported either here or via Google. We have two players in an F-14 and a third player in a Hornet. Set F-14 Pilot's radio to 250MHz. (The problem occurs using either radio on any frequency, but for simplicity I'll focus on just the pilot's radio) Pilot and RIO can hear each other on ICS fine. Pilot can transmit to and receive from other aircraft fine RIO can transmit to and receive from other aircraft fine However, Pilot cannot hear RIO's transmissions on the radio. RIO cannot hear pilot's transmissions on the radio Since other aircraft can hear the transmissions, it seems that the keybinds are functioning. Since Pilot and RIO can both hear incoming transmissions on that radio, it seems volume level is fine. The crew just can't hear each other. We've tried it with 4 different players in multiple missions, always with the same results. It seems like transmitting mutes your transmission in your own headset to prevent echoing, but in the Tomcat is actually muting it to both crew members. But that's just a guess. Has anyone else experienced this in a Tomcat? Has anyone experienced this in any other multicrew aircraft? Logfile is attached. dcs.log

DCS open beta: 2.9.3.51704 Description: Hi, last night with my squadron we were using the ingame VOIP for a change, even if everyone has it well configured, we realized some can hear each other and some others don't, using the same frequency, no encryption, everyone was in the same airfield (Senaki's ramp), for example Pilot A can hear Pilot B Pilot A can hear Pilot C Pilot B can hear Pilot A Pilot B can't hear Pilot C and so on, we were like 10 online that night and i wasn't able to hear like 3 other pilots, another friend was able hear the ones i didn't but can't hear other pilots, furthermore, we all saw the green indicator we were receiving a transmition without audio in the way i said before, which bring a quite strange behaivor where friends were replying to some other pilots i couldn't hear We check volumes, if everyone was in radio mode, if everyone was in the same freq, or using encryption we all were correct on the settings. We check again in previous day and is not fixed who can i hear or not, maybe someone i heard loud and clear previously, now i can't hear at all Can someone help us out? EDIT: Followed up this post, none are using Sonar and the diagram is quite larger, not regarding only one pilot in my case we are even more

When testing the microphone my voice sounds reasonable and normal but as soon as I try to test a sound filter in the radio options the audio gain seems to spike and it also clips a ton. If I create a custom radio it still performs this way BUT If I uncheck "Receiver Filter Parameters" then my voice sounds normal with the radio effect applied. Is anyone else experiencing this or Is this unique to me? I haven't played with it in multiplayer just yet and I'm worried I'm going to be blasting people with the same audio I get when I'm testing it with the radio effects applied.

Hi everyone, In the recently released newsletter there was a document for the new voice chat feature, on page 10, there was a control menu example, with PTTs explicitly for voice chat. Would it be possible to instead use the current PTTs/transmit switches and related controls that are already implemented for modules (which currently bring up the communications menu), allowing voice chat controls to be bound on a per module basis? A possible difficulty however, will be the current communications menu, which is what the current controls bring up. Perhaps it could be set up such that if whatever PTT button/mic switch is quickly pressed and released (within a small fraction of a second) it brings up the current communications menu (allowing you to talk to ground crew, ATC etc, like we do now), and a press with a longer time before release inhibits the radio menu and just uses voice chat. EDIT: Another possible problem with this is how would custom radios be facilitated? Particularly if you've got more radios than the module's switchology supports, perhaps that's where dedicated global keybinds could come in. Or maybe module specific 'custom radio x' binds. EDIT: Deka with the JF-17 seem to be providing both a short-press/long-press option as described above, as well as a dedicated set of keys for the communications menu, and another dedicated set for voice chat, users can then choose what suits them best (personally, I think this is the best solution). EDIT: Though, regarding the current system: How are modules which have more radios than PTT switches going to be handled? For instance in aircraft like the Huey and C-101, there's only 1 transmit switch, and a selector to select which radio you're transmitting on. Will the current, dedicated, global voice-chat PTT binds key their own radios (allowing you to bypass the selector) or will they key transmit switches in modules? So for instance, in the Huey, would the current 'cockpit r.1 VoIP PTT' bind transmit on whatever radio 1 is (and r.2, r.3 will be for whatever their respective radios are), or will it simply key the transmit switch, and the radio you actually transmit on will be controlled by the selector dial. EDIT: modules seem to use their real world controls, and if there is a radio selector, you have to use it. EDIT: @NineLine can this get moved to the appropriate section that was newly created? EDIT: Thank-you!
