I am selling a set of two rings, right and left. These are devices that simulate mouse clicks and scrolling. I use it in VR to click in the cockpit. Details on how they are made can be found at the link: Ring With Mouse Buttons & Wheel : 5 Steps (with Pictures) - Instructables There is also a discussion in the forum: To work in VR require LeapMotion or other hands tracking system. There is installed 50mA battery which allowing Ring to work 2,5-3h. Ring internal diameter is 21mm + some plastic flexibility. Price: 70€ + shipping cost.

Quest 3. Latest updates, link connection, On the VR Tab trackers is not showing, only disable or controller. VR is enabled. Help.

All up to date with updates on headset and DCS. In the previous DCS releases (before the Quest 3 break from Oculus) I randomly experienced a laggy and very blocky right eye. Hard rebooting the headset did nothing; only quitting and restarting DCS fixed the issue. Now, today, I've had it happen twice. Could this please get investigated? I'm happy to help in any way, but it **is** intermittent - no idea what is causing it. It's happened in multiple aircraft, on multiple servers...

Quite straight forwards. Mirrors for all modules (to my knowledge) do not have depth for VR players. It gives the mirrors an appearance of being essentially a small flat-screen television in your cockpit. Mirrors as they are now only compute the reflection per the center of the head, like TrackIR, when in VR it should render different for and to both eyes. Ofc if you look in mirrors in reality, you know that you can see depth and distance in them. Just a little request for VR, is all.

I have created a list of DCS aircraft modules that have the Virtual Pilot (visible pilot body) in the cockpit. The reason I think this is an important feature is the additional immersion in VR of having your body there. The good news is that the majority of paid modules support the virtual pilot, including all but one of the helicopters! Regarding the integrated kneeboard functionality, I have tried to indicate how usable the integrated kneeboard is with VR headsets. I have a first generation windows mixed reality headset, and use OpenXR with 1.1 PD set in DCS World. I have indicated whether the integrated kneeboard is usable with my equipment, for me - your mileage may vary! I hope this document will assist VR users who value the virtual pilot in determining which modules are worth their hard earned cash. Link to document As of 6 January 2024 the document is complete and details all available paid modules. Special thanks to longuich for helping me out with the helicopters, and Derek Speare for helping out with the Christen Eagle II.

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this post, but I'm having an issue with replays. My system: i9-13900, 64GB ram, rtx4090, 2tb samsung ssd, pimax 8kx. When I view replays (on my monitor), the view often zooms in. The point of view continues to move, replicating my head movements during play, but the view is zoomed in. I can zoom out using the / key, but then the point of view is stationary unless I use the number keys to pan, tilt, and rotate. The view is no longer controlled by whatever I was looking at when I played the mission. Is there something I'm doing while playing that's causing this? Sometimes it doesn't happen until an hour or more into the replay and at other times soon after first wheels up. I would like to make some videos, but I would like to show the pilot perspective. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

I received my crystal yesterday. I am having an issue with flickering. Almost like random flashes of lightning. Only in vr. Do not have this problem with msfs 2020. I'm sure it's a setting issue. I am not sure where to go from here. Firmware on headset is updated. 12900 k and a 4090 gpu. 64 gb of mem. I tried different settings in pimax software. Different settings in dcs. Different settings in openxr in the sim. Any ideas?

Received my crystal yesterday. The visuals are amazing. However I am struggling with some basic setup issues. Eye tracking calibration not working. I follow the dots with eyes. At the end say my eye movement does not match graphic movement. I reseated the lenses. Un-installed and reinstalled the pimax software. Same problem. I did a fresh I stall of windows. Dcs is currently downloading. Still can not calibrate eye tracking. I then Uninstaller and deleted all remaining pimax folders. Start the client. I get a message in headset to move my headset down. I move it all around and nothing happens. Ctrl all delete the program. Open pimax up again and I don't get the position message. Eye calibration still does not work. Delete the program again. On first startup get the position message, can't get past it. Ctrl all delete again. Open software. Calibration fails. I have rinsed and repeated for the past hour or so. I would of posted on pimax forums, but to sign up they give you 20 images and have to get everyone right. One wrong, and start over. I'm getting frustrated. The visuals are fantastic. I did put a ticket in with pimax. Anyone here have any ideas? Oh yeah one more thing. In dcs I am getting flickering which I did not get with my g2 or rifts s. Running 13900k and a 4090. Thank you all.

I have a very frustrating problem with a frozen mouse pointer since about 1 week. The cursor cannot be moved on DCS menue screen. If I put the HMD down so that "it" recognizes that I am not wearing an HMD, I can move the cursor again. If I put the HMD back on, it freezes again at its last point. So I close and restart WMR, SteamVR and DCS in different ways until it works again at some point by "coincidence". So I currently need about 20 minutes to get DCS to run with a working mouse pointer (if at all). I also speak for a friend on the German subforum with exactly the same issue. Has any of you ever had this problem? This behavior is not entirely unknown to me. Had it been extremely rare in the past and then, only one program restart was necessary. Somehow i suspect Steam VR because it crashes occasionally. I don´t use controllers in VR, waiting for PointCTRL which also represents a mouse.

As shown in the video attached, the F5s joystick bindings, specifically the non-axis ones, the inputs seem to "stick". They are acting as if they are continuously being held even after releasing the joystick. This issue only occurred after the 2.9 update. It's hard to see but it's most prominent when you look at the flare/chaff button. You can see that is being held down after using the binding once. The only way to undo it is to reach and click it manually which isn't a realistic option. dfgfdggfd.mp4

I have the impression that after today's patch something happened to the data displayed on the HUD, they became larger and more blurrier. I only fly in VR and it looked better before. me. Opinions?

Hi, Pretty please to add OpenVR support for MT version too like we have in ST version. Its a downgrade still compared to ST version (missing part) which, after all, supports OXR and OVR without a problem. As I know technically, this is not a problem, as many multi-threaded applications use OVR in VR mode. We've been waiting for this for a while. There have been several patches but no still OpenVR for VR users. CTD is present when you'd like to use SteamVR + OVR. Not everyone likes OXR, I personally still prefer OVR , in which reprojection works great and better than with OXR and in combination with Reshade it gives an even sharper image (so next bigger benefit). Now that Normandy 2.0 is out, I'd love to go back to some campaigns, but the picture in OXR just isn't detailed enough for me like with OVR. Pls give it in the next patch for MT. Do not be shy ;), we are waiting still for this. Thank You.

I am still using the MT "":\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin-mt\DCS.exe" --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR" do I need to be doing these things at this time? Is there a more current recommendation to start the game? Prior to the last update, I thought that I had the jittering under control via some some of the recommended settings, I haven't tweaked anything in quite awhile, and gameplay is really bad imo. If I look anywhere except thru the canopy it's just jittery and bad, I don't mean to sound negative but at what point does gameplay get better? I mean, heaven forbid.. looking down and using the mouse to lower/raise gear and your view is jittery and becomes off center etc. I can seem to find the 5 key with VR set on lol, to re-center. What gives with this latest update and what is the future of this game? I was excited to get involved but as time goes on, I'm wondering.. I have a decent rig, 5800x, 4080, 32gb ram.. HP G2 in VR, I play other stuff very very smooth but DCS is fun but quite a challenge anymore in VR.

So I've been playing dcs for about a month now, so I'm still farely new to the game, therefore lots of things I don't know. So I'm playing on an htc vive headset with the controllers. Everything was good until I tried multiplayer, which ran really poorly. I started looking for answers and stumbled upon multithreading version of dcs, which does run better but my bindings were all over the place. No problem, I bind everything back as it was but when I started playing, wanted to move my tdc in the f18 to control the radar and it just didn't work (yes, it was set as soi). Also it's not just the radar, it doesn't work on flir either, or the hud even if I can move it on all of them.

Guys... is this map was tested in VR? My first impressions are mixed, sorry . I tested low and slow, so Apache on Mount Pleasant and Ushuaia Heliport. I'm afraid that map works worse than Channel map. In Ushuaia Heliport I had 16-22 FPS (on 3090, lol) where on Syria (apart Aleppo) or Caucasus (not to mention PG, Normandy, Nevada) etc I have near stable 45 FPS for G2 (with motion reprojection on). Map has problem to keep stable 45 fps, this is what I saw. I think it needs a BIG performance update (objects, grass, I dont know). Id like to know opinions from the others VR users. I dont use OpenXR (maybe it helps a little) and any shader mod. but I think without mods it should work fine, especially since I haven't seen the information that the map is not VR ready, hmmm :(.

Issue description When attempting to start DCS Open Beta 2.8.6.41066 with the --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR command line options of the DCS.exe, DCS starts in 2D mode and not in VR mode. This happens for both the single threaded and multithreaded versions of DCS. Furthermore, the issue occurs no matter if Windows Mixed Reality or Steam VR are used as OpenXR runtime. Skimming through the dcs.log file (see attachment), I noticed the following error related to OpenXR: 2023-06-13 09:39:09.356 ERROR VISUALIZER (Main): OpenXR exception: XrResult failure [XR_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_ERROR] Origin: xrCreateInstance(&createInfo, &instance) Source: Projects\Visualizer\Source\OpenXR\openxr_program.cpp:299 2023-06-13 09:39:09.357 INFO VISUALIZER (Main): LAUNCH IN VR ed_FakeVR: ed_FakeVR 2023-06-13 09:39:09.358 INFO VISUALIZER (Main): render thread initialization... It seems that DCS cannot access the OpenXR library file in the file system. Other OpenXR applications like the demo included with OpenXR Tools for Windows Mixed Reality work fine. When not using the --force_OpenXR command line option with the single threaded version of DCS.exe, DCS starts in VR. The system runs a fresh, clean and fully updated installation of Windows 11 Pro and the latest drivers for the installed NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti with a HP Reverb G2 WMR headset. An Ultraleap Leap Motion Controller and the corresponding Ultraleap Gemini hand tracking software installed. Solution that worked for me: The Ultraleap Gemini hand tracking software includes an OpenXR plugin. DCS also supports the Ultraleap Leap Motion Controller and includes the corresponding library but seems to come with an outdated and/or conflicting version. So, this is how I could fix the issue: Copy this file: C:\Program Files\Ultraleap\OpenXR\LeapC.dll To the following folders and overwrite the existing LeapC.dll files there: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin-mt After this, I could successfully launch DCS in OpenXR VR mode. dcs.log

I was in VR on Google Earth and having a look around my old hometown of Carlisle in the UK. There is an aviation museum at the old airport and street view took me inside the Vulcan bomber XJ823, and their Percival Sea Prince, great stuff. Is this the norm for GE and where are some other nice cockpit 'Street views'?

Muchas gracias. -SOLUCIONADO, la asignación es, CENTRAR VISIÓN.-

Hey everyone, I'm planning to upgrade my GPU from 8 GB 3060Ti to 24 GB 7900XTX only to get better performance flying in DCS in my Quest 3 (steady 90 FPS and excellent quality) I did an extensive search, and I found mixed results! Apparently, in some cases, having an AMD CPU helps the AMD GPU boost their performance and most of the negative reviews come from Intel CPUs, but couldn't find any tests for DCS to compare My specs are as below: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 5.4GHz 40MB (8-Core) Memory: 64 GB RAM (2x 32GB 6000MHz DDR5) SSD: 2x 2TB Kingstone KC3000 M.2 NVMe 7000MB/s

My friends and I have experienced hours of frustration with the interactive mouse and not being able to locate it, especially in VR. My suggestion for a quality of life improvement for ED is to have the interactive mouse either recenter or have the option to make it larger or brighter and glow more. Just a suggestion so we don't lose our mind -Flint

I know it could be achieved by editing .lua file but it's cumbersome. I wonder if the developer could add an option to change the background, maybe like when you click each plane icon to set wallpaper, the VR background will change too - so if I choose supercarrier, it will be set as inside the underdeck hangar.

So I just got my Leap Motion hand tracking working with a new Pitool version from Pimax. I'm using the Pimax 8K X and their Hand Tracking Module which is Leap Motion. Although a little janky, it works pretty well, my issue is however in DCS the hands placement is much higher than my real hands. In the Leap Motion visualiser it is accurate. In DCS it is high. I think it is because DCS expects the tracker on top of the headset, however the Pimax connects to the bottom, and finding a way of fixing to the top and running a cable around the headset is going to be problematic to say the least. Question is, is there any way of adjusting this in DCS? Literally centering the hand tracking higher or lower, whichever way works, would easily solve the problem. DCS only catering for a single position is not ideal. Or would it be possible to implement this? Many thanks ED for all your hard work!
