K2mil
Nvidia today released their new 337.50 Beta driver. The drivers enhance DirectX in such a manner that they free up CPU overhead Source This sounds like good news for DCS World INTEL CORE I7 6700K ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO ASUS ROG GTX1080Ti Strix OC 16GB @ 4100 MHz |CORSAIR Intel 730 SSD 240GB Corsair 850 W Modular PSU Corsair Obsidian 650d Logitech X-56 HOTAS ,Saitek X-65F HOTAS, Pro Ruder Pedals, Pro Flight Instrument Panel NP TrackIr 5 Pro Windows 10 PRO

K2mil
It seams like these drivers have the best results in directX 11. svedan
For the last year or so I've run performance benchmarks using fraps within DCS every time Nvidia has released a new driver. It has never shown any remarkable difference when I've installed new drivers, this time was no exception. Im using a track file to record the fps so the margin of error is very small, like +- 0.25 fps Edit: 335.23 WHQL driver average result on 3 tests: 65.2 fps 337.50 Beta driver average result on 3 tests: 64.4 fps Edited April 8, 2014 by svedan
71st_Mastiff
removing shader control from the CPU alone is worth it. " any failure you meet, is never a defeat; merely a set up for a greater come back, " W Forbes "Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts," Winston Churchill " He who never changes his mind, never changes anything," MSI z690MPG DDR4 || i914900k|| ddr4-64gb PC3200 || MSI RTX 4070Ti|Game1300w|Win10x64| |turtle beach elite pro 5.1|| ViRpiL,T50cm2|| MFG Crosswinds|| VT50CM-plus rotor Throttle || G10 RGB EVGA Keyboard/MouseLogitech || PiMax Crystal VR || 32 Samsung||
blackbelter
As far as I've seen, 337.50b does smoothen the view in the new 6dof Su-33 cockpit, by quite a large margin as compared to 335.23. Way to go Nvidia!
K2mil
Glad to see improvement haven't tested my setup yet. It does not happen everyday when a company releases a software/driver that improves performance even on older hardware kudos for nvidia. howie87
I will try when I get home. The latest 'stable' drivers for my GTX 770 cause a load of blue and red artifacting in X-Plane anyway so I want to get shot of them ASAP.

hitman
Well thats probably not fair, it was just a single aircraft. Had fraps running in the background too. Just a baseline, but its also pretty good considering its usually around 30 in online servers.
msalama
A slick beta this driver! Runs stable and smooth for me. I don't know if the absolute maximum f/s is higher now though because I've got my FPS capped at 33, but I'm gonna test that later as well... The DCS Mi-8MTV2. msalama
OK, had my FPS fluctuating between 45-166 in a fairly busy mission, but the sim really isn't usable for me with these settings - getting far too much screen tearing and irregular stuttering and I just can't have that. So back to the lowish f/s cap I go... The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
