Changing Slider O axis for button command

Hello all,just unboxed my new Warthog and had a quick flight in A-10C and was wondering how does one change the slider O on the throttle to raise/lower the landing gear.

I have had a look at over 140 threads on this topic and no joy. Also no complicated lua language please if possible !!

The only way to do that is to use the optional Target scripting language, downloaded from Thrustmaster, to program it. I am afraid there is no simple answer.

Actually, now that I think about it, a good solution would be to remap the AP Engage button, on the throttle base, to the Gear Up/Down command. The original function is duplicated by the Left Throttle Button anyway.
