AvioDev C-101: New project announcement

Hi,

I hope it's a success for you, JuanOscar, and the rest of the team.

Thank you!!

I've got a little time in L-39s, I imagine the performance isn't too different?
Great! I think the performance of the two aircraft are similar. They have similar power to weight ratios, and general characteristics, but I think the L-39 might be a bit quicker in the air.

As for engines, again I think they are similar, with the C-101's engine maybe having a slightly faster spool time than that of the L-39, but slightly less thrust.

Awesome stuff. I can't wait to try it all out! I'll be making a review of it on release given the similarities.

Hi,

Good to hear your project, guys.. and I wish You the best of luck:thumbup:

What about dual seat config? Are there some news in this?

Thank you!

In terms of dual-seat, the systems can already be programmed to support it, but the problem is the flight model. Until we get AFM, we are unable to access features required to sync the position of the simulation between two computers.

Best regards,

Tango.

best of luck. And be sure to have it announced on DCS.com as its a day 1 purchase for me.

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

First of all, congratulations on this new endeavor and I wish you guys the best of luck! Second of all, what are going to be the main differences in equipment between the C101 and the Hawk? If only given one choice between the two, right now it would be the C101. Really looking forward to it! (Sorry if the equipment question has already been answered)

Hi,

First of all, congratulations on this new endeavor and I wish you guys the best of luck! Second of all, what are going to be the main differences in equipment between the C101 and the Hawk? Thanks!

Differences-wise, there is more for the pilot to play with in the C-101 in the form of circuit breakers for various equipment, and some additional backup systems, but otherwise there is a very close match between them.

They are both used for similar roles IRL; advanced jet training, advanced weapons training, and are both used by their respective air force aerobatic display teams.

The C-101 has huge range — it can fly over 2000 nm un-refuelled. It was designed to fly to the Canary Islands from mainland Spain without refuelling.

The EB (training version) is used by the Spanish air force for advanced jet training, before students move onto the F-5B.

The CC version (attack version) was used by the Spanish, Chile, Jordan and Honduras air forces in the light attack role. The weapons it can carry are wide and varied, and you may or may not know, it even has an internal weapons bay under the rear seat for even more payload. The CC model can carry weapons up to and including the AGM-65.

The A-36 "Halcón" is one variant of the CC model we are looking at that was operated by the Chilean air force, and includes RADAR for advanced tactical weapons training.

Just an example of the weapons and equipment the C-101CC can carry:

Internal bay:

* Laser designator

* Reconnaissance pod

* Countermeasures systems

* Single 30mm cannon complete with 130 rounds of ammunition

* Twin Browning M3 12.7mm machine gun with 440 rounds of ammunition

Under-wing hard-points:

* BR-250 bombs

* BR-125 bombs

* LAU-10 rocket launchers

* LAU-3A rocket launchers

* AGM-65 Maverick missiles

* AIM-9M Sidewinder

* Sea Eagle air-to-surface anti-ship missile

* Other air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons

By comparison, the Hawk has approximately one quarter the air-to-ground payload capability by mass (T.1). The only air-to-air missile it carries is the AIM-9L (T.1A).

I hope that helps detail the main differences! The CC model is packed with capability, and the DD model gets even more interesting including HOTAS and integrated navigation and mission management computer, but no orders were ever placed.

Hey. What weapons plane will be in the simulator?

So...which variant will we get?

Depending on availability of information, maybe all three versions. :thumbup:

Hey. What weapons plane will be in the simulator?

If we can - all of them. :) It depends on the equipment required in the cockpit. It's unclear how the laser designator is pointed, or whether the AGM-65 requires a video display, for example.

Best regards,

Tango.

Hello guys ;)

One future awesome aircraft, one thing that I love (maybe one detail) it's the ladders.

Your Cockpit and 3D model is awesome and incredible :thumbup:

Great work, congratulation :beer:

I love the way the ADI tumbles when power is turned on - haven't seen that modeled anywhere else! :thumbup:

Win 10, Gigabyte Aorus Ultra with i5 9600KF @ 4.6GHz, 32G DDR4 3200 RAM, GTX 1070, TrackIR 5, TM Warthog stick on VPC Warbird base, Warthog Throttle for jets & helis, CH Throttle Quadrant for props, CH Pro Pedals, 500GB SSDs for installed sims :gun_smilie:

No - it's not required - it has a huge internal fuel capacity, good for 2000 nm ferry range. Combat range is also good considering the weapons payload (350 nm with 2200 kg of payload).

Best regards,

Tango.
