junae
Hi all whats the thoughest AI plane in A2A combat? I found the Mirage 2000-5 to be veeeeery good and hard to down... Don't know about the others. What's your opinion? ;) Thanks!! =FN= Six o'Clock Member of Falcões da Noite Squadron Florianopolis :: Brazil
plug pray
As for close quarters combat, i guess you're right about the mirage. F 16 is better than many others, but anyway isnt hard to shoot down. I havent played for a long time, so i dont remember anything well... Try 'em all...

junae
Does ED modeled a unique behavior for every AI plane? Or it's only a matter of plane characteristics (weight, thrust, drag, etc)? =FN= Six o'Clock Member of Falcões da Noite Squadron Florianopolis :: Brazil

RvETito
F-5 in gunzo, while flying a fully fueled flanker. Always fun. I wouldn't go into any gunzo with Su-27 against any agile fighter if I have more than 5 tons of fuel. ;) First I tried fight the F-15 and I sucked. I didn't let him shoot me down but I was unable to take a shot. Then I flew the F-15 vs. Su-27 and I kicked his a$$ pretty easy. I was like- WTF, I was able to defeat alone 5 excellent F-15s with 50% fuel in Flanker 2.51, what have they done to my Flanker?!?!? And then I looked at my fuel gauge- 100%!!! What an idiot I am! I was not used to press the buttons on the airgroup planning menu and I missed the Payload button everytime so I started always with 100%. For the F-15 isn't so bad but for the Su-27 is critical. With full tanks(9400kg) the Su-27 should not pull more than 5 Gs. They use so much fuel only for long flights like escort tasks but never for a dogfight. My opinion is that in guns only the thoughest adversary is the Su-27. "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. Guest EVIL-SCOTSMAN
gunzo only wud be the 29 or mirage, but saying that, some days there easy to kill, then the next they seem to be on steroids, so its kinda hard to tell. a good human pilot will always pwn an excellent ai in gunzo, even if they both have same type of aircraft or even if the ai has the slight advantage of a smaller more agile AC. as i said, some days it can be shiat easy, the next they seem impossible to hit even tho no settings have been changed or touched... that be my tuppence worth. for more fun, go gunzo in fully fuelled flanker, but make acs failure at spawn and then you will easily pwn any AC, in gunzo or heaters or bvr. acs failure gives you that touch more maneavourability - (if its spelt wrong then google it :) ) also, acs failure gives you the best displays, some of the things you can do in the flanker with acs failure is really cooooooooooooooooooool... especially if you use the trim wheels on the x45/52, it just makes it uber turnable... walternowi
I've tried gunzo with the Su-27 against F-5, F-4, F-14, F-16, F-18 and Mirage 2000. IMHO, the Mirage 2000 is the toughest. If I get too aggressive and bleed my energy too soon, I got nailed. I have too try against the F-15 some time and see how it goes. Also, in gunzo for the Flanker, never carry more than 60% fuel (~ 5 tons).
