Kenan
I was trying to setup a TU bomber hitting a target (point on the ground) with guided missiles but it didn't work. The AI would just ignore the attack waypoint and go RTB. What am I doing wrong? Thank you. Grimes
The Tu-95 and Tu-160 are the only TU bombers that have the Kh-65 cruise missile available. It is a missile they can fire from pretty far away, so maybe the waypoint is to close to the target point? The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Kenan
^^Hmm..TU was some 100+ km away from the target (runway). I actually created a normal waypoint and then added an additional, advanced (attack) waypoint, indicating "point in the ground". It didn't work however. Should I put more distance between the bomber and the target? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commanding Officer of: 2nd Company 1st financial guard battalion "Mrcine" See our squads here and our . karambiatos
I am interested in this as well, i tried getting Tornados to come in and bomb some stuff, but they would never bomb properly. A 1000 flights, a 1000 crashes, perfect record. =&arrFilter_pf[gameversion]=&arrFilter_pf[filelang]=&arrFilter_pf[aircraft]=&arrFilter_DATE_CREATE_1_DAYS_TO_BACK=&sort_by_order=TIMESTAMP_X_DESC"] Check out my random mods and things
Grimes
The problem likely has to do with the tasking and tasks setup for the aircraft. Its hard to diagnose without looking at it. Upload your simple test mission and I can show you precisely how to do it. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Current Projects: Scripting Wiki, Something... Kenan
Here it is! :) This was the last version when I was just so frustrated that I tried to make it engage right after spawning..It obviously didn't work as well. :Dbearattack.miz [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commanding Officer of: 2nd Company 1st financial guard battalion "Mrcine" See our squads here and our . Exorcet
Bomber had no missiles. Still testing though. EDIT With missiles it does attack, but the target point is too close to the preceding waypoint so it flies a loop before launching. It's also flying really low and slow since you left waypoint speed/alt default, but that's probably just for testing. AI doesn't like attacking from certain speed/alt though. AI doesn't like attacking from certain speed/alt though. If the AI are to low they usually gain the needed altitude or change their speed to use a given weapon.
