Ok, it's not funny anymore. As in 1.2.9 I tried an update. Result as you can see, some modules updated core game not. Repair function doesn't make a change.

Looks like you have spaghetti in the game folder. Uninstall game, remove it folder with the files and install from scratch.

How did you fix it last time? Complete reinstall?

Reverted back to 1.2.8 with updater since there were no bugfixes worth to get 1.2.9. Would like to try a reinstall but that could take some days.

1.2.8 was a fresh unmodified install donwloaded 2 weeks earlier.

I think, I know what went wrong.

The log file shows that your modules were updated, but no files for DCS World itself. Also I noticed in the log this line:

INFO : DCS/1.2.8.27915.434 (x86_64; DE; UH-1H,MI-8MTV2,A-10C,FC3,P-51D,KA-50,CA)

In my log files it looks like this:

INFO : DCS/1.2.10.30996.495 (x86_64; EN; WORLD,A-10C,KA-50bs1,CA,UH-1H,MI-8MTV2,FC3,P-51D,F-86F)

Somehow the autoupdater does not know that it should also update the DCS World base installation itself. I read on the forums somewhere about exact this issue. But sadly I can't find the relevant postings atm.

But maybe this helps you with your own search ... good luck!

Thx for the replies. Will try the fix and make a reinstall on the weekend when my bandwith allows it. Hope it was the last time...

Tried the fix by Flagrum, worked , +1 for your idea

As USSR_Rik said I want to be sure this will not happen again and made a fresh install. Everything working fine so far... We will see whats Happening with the next update :)
