I suspect that when the L39 is closer to release and gets it's own sub forum, or store page, we might get more information.

Until then, I very much doubt we'll get *any* news on it. Hell, it doesn't even have it's own annoucement thread yet.

Yup, I would imagine this will be the case...

Surely with ED put a "official announcement" over the L-39, that can explain them in detail.

All in good time. There's bigger fish to fry at the moment.

You're peeved that ED announced a module that none of its official third parties are developing?

Well, I think ED should do an statement of what really happened to the community. Specially for those who were following the Virtual Patriots projects since two years ago, expecting their product and who "don't know whole picture of what happened here".

That would solve some potential misunderstandings.

Don't you think?

See here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=128836&page=7

Is it perhaps a wrong information, provided by the newsletter writer?

Perhaps it should have read as: ED mentioned in the newsletter that a DCS L-39 will come. The Virtual Patriots DCS:L-39. Just like the C101 or the Hawk from VEAO.

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=129630

non of these moduls are from ED.

@ED PLEASE: Talk with each other and with us. Is ED developing a L39 parallel to Virtual Patriots?

ED are developing an L-39. Subsequently the VP have decided to cancel their project.

Wow, excellent updates! Pretty much all I could hope for. The simulation elements in the mission editor are VERY welcome.

P.S I hope the few remaining Lock On -era aircraft/ship/ground -unit 3D models also get an update in 2.0.

Someone might remember me as 'FlyingRussian' from the Ubisoft Lock-On forum back in '03

Ok just bought ever module I didn't have...

Sabre,

P51D,

Dora,

BF109 pre-order

Mi8

A mere $156 worth :D

I'm considering doing the same this in December.

Hopefully there will be a winter sale, maybe some new modules, maybe some modules cheaper than now and some multi-craft bundles would be great.

This is one promising newsletter, I hope that game stability and especially multiplayer will still get their share of love in the middle of all these announced modules and features. The more modules, the more potential bugs are likely to pop up. Fact is that DCS's overall stability has improved a lot since the last campaign, I just hope this will be a steady and ongoing effort in parallel of all additional content.

Very Informative. This sounds like a new year's company plans for the year, only we're only a few month's off the end of it. Thanks for the thorough update! Even if I'm not really into DCS WW2 I might be tempted to dive into it should the aircraft and map be of good enough quality & authenticity. Those ground level previews never gets old, I hope you guys are developing the ground aspect too. With such ground details and the new skeleton we're getting that much closer to integrating armor & infantry combat into this DCS World you are creating. Given how both FPS and Tanks are popular trends these days that sure could be a sound plan. Exciting times! Cheers

From my perspective and experience alone I will say dont deprive yourself of the WWII era birds. I was very biased towards modern combat planes, but after a few hours of the Dora and the Mustang I am really enjoying what has been done so far and it's only going to get better with whats planned for ground units and the new terrains coming. I just need more time to enjoy it all.:)
