Saitek X52 Rudder issue

Recommended Posts

Good evening,

Unfortunately I am having a massive issue with the rudders on my X52 Flight Stick. It does not matter what plane I am in, I am having this issue.

Basically, upon calibration the rudder input will turn at the exact time as I am twisting. I.e If I twist it half or only slightly, it will show the rudder moving only half or slightly.

However, in game, having the rudder setup on the axis, regardless of how little I twist the rudder, it will go all the way to the left or right without any inbetween output. As you can imagine, trying to take off, land or even fly if your rudder is suddenly pointing one way it ends in an uncontrollable spin.

I have uninstalled drivers and utility software. I have deleted my user profile and settings in game and in my documents. Even tried playing about with the ingame settings.

Dispite all my efforts, this does not changed. Please can someone help me? :helpsmilie:

Check the 'Slider' check box for the Rudder Axis. I don't recall having to do that when I had an X-52 but from your description of the problem, I think that will fix it.

Hi guys

I found another thread (lost it due to restart) but I deleted Saitek from my PC and got rid of all Saitek in the regedit and its working perfect! I have full rudder control..

I still however, cannot land. However, this is due to my complete lack of skill!

Glad you got it fixed. There should be plenty of YouTube videos for landing most of the aircraft in DCS.

Still learning to be honest. Spent 20 mins starting up and loading out my A-10 and flew beautifully. Suddenly I hear some alarm going off in the cockpit and my friend im on Teamspeak says check the map and see whats around.

I see this unusual red dot and it's heading towards me at high speed. Yeah.. I tried to fire counter measures but unfortunately I had to eject. That was enough excitement for me for one night lol
