Buzzles
I'm having the image.png missing file issue as well. It looks as if either the server at ED's end or the update package is missing the file as part of the download manifest, as the file is certainly missing from the _downloads section. The file does certainly exist though, it's in the backup folders. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
ED Team Yo-Yo Posted September 17, 2014 ED Team Share Posted September 17, 2014 Before the update is edited I would like to clear some things up. Stabiliser and ELEVATOR angles are fixed (absolute, relative, whatever... :) ) so very minor changes in trim range occured as a result. The range is a little bit wider now. Tail wheel lock point was set exactly as it must be (referring the elevator angle). doveman
Can we have an immediate hotfix to rename mods\aircraft back to aircrafts please? I hope this was a mistake and someone didn't just decide aircraft sounded better and didn't stop to think of all the problems changing it would cause, such as making tools like EMC stop working and all our JSGME-mod folders require renaming of that folder, which will take ages to do one by one. If there isn't going to be an immediate hotfix, can someone please tell me how to downgrade to the previous version so that I can enable my mods for my online session tonight? Bravo020
I was able to get the update to work, only after I had uninstalled the training material. I did this for _every_ module that I could perform this task with FC3, BS2, Su-25T etc. Might have only been necessary for the Su-25T ?? Anyway, once I uninstalled the training material, I was then able to run Update DCS World without a hitch, and subsequently install the MIG release too. I noticed that the folder structure is now: ../aircrafts = FW-190D9 , Mi-8MTV2 , Uh-1H (These folders contain various sub folders which are all empty), so this might be as a result of the failed updates? ../aircraft = A-10C , F-86 , Flaming Cliffs , FW-190D9 , Ka-50 , Mi-8MTV2 , MiG-21BIS , P-51D , Su-25T , TF-51D Uh-1H Edited September 17, 2014 by Bravo020

Fakum
That might be true,, but some of us have no idea what to do when we know if we update, we are going to have problems we dont understand how to fix. The forums have exploded with discussion on this and so far I have read thru it all, and personally, my head is spinning, I dont know what to do! Fortunately, I have not updated yet, so the bottom line for guys like me are to wait and see if somet type of quick fix will evolve to avoid problems from this update, or a formal "How too" will be provided? Yeah and I have enough to do without having to spend hours editing all my mods and finding workarounds for the tools that no longer work because someone couldn't live with an incorrectly named folder and just had to rename it, regardless of the difficulties it would cause users. How many mods do you use? I have ... dunno, the whole list full in JSMGE - maybe 20? That is 20 times pressing F2 to rename a folder. (use the windows search in your mods folder for "aircrafts"). Time estimation: 5 minutes. edit: but fwiw, I agree that such a change was not really necessary. This is the internal structure, nobody interested in spelling errors should look at stuff like that anyways. That is like fixing spelling errors in source code comments (way to go, ED! ;o) Edited September 17, 2014 by Flagrum
