Several Minor 3-D and Texture Bugs

FANTASTIC WORK!!!!!!!!

 

some little bugs:

 

1: wrong position of the landing lights inflight

2: little piece of cockpit is looking through canopy

3: seatbelt cuts through seat on the same side

4: shadow on the sides of the helmet (appears from closed visor??) (also) appears when visor is open (texture is from closed visor?)

5: little missing texture on pilots tube

6: AI: pilot´s visor is not closing after take off

7: AI: open side air intake without seeing the flexible panel (static model)

8: AI: no changing/counting tactical numbers

Here's another one for you guys. Looks like a screw/bolt is floating in the cockpit at the start of the Ramp Start Tutorial.

regarding 1: definitely sure that the position of the landing light (when up) on the left side differs from the one on the right side? ? ?

do you know what is the tecnical reason for them to not be symetrical?

Honestly I don't, but I assume it has to do with hydraulic lines, tanks, and/or pumps being in the area

I've noticed on the GVIAP skin that the outer pylons are black, at least when selecting 490l tanks.

With how good LN's support seems to be, I would guess all the things you mentioned will be fixed (at least the things that are not actually accurately modelled). I don't see them leaving a piece of the cockpit poking out of the canopy...at least I hope not. haha

Missing Lod textures at distance ( orange none skin ), jet cone showing even when engine is at low throttle.

When the larger nuke is equipped (haven't checked small weapon), the gear doors when open pass through the bomb model.

This is a limitation of the DCS engine in it's current iteration-- unfortunately.

When the landing gear are neutral and locked. You cannot raise it.

 

Now when he is in the up position. You can lock it. This is an error. Please fix it .

I didn't see mention of these 3D issues in the change log so is it safe to assume they weren't part of the patch?

I think they were fixed, but then LNS changed external model to fix some fps stuff I think (that's why we now have problems with gear doors clipping bombs, the recently fixed sideways nose cone etc), and this stuff isn't fixed in the new one I think.

I'm guessing LN is doing fixes in stages, I.e, fps optimization first, etc etc..
