gerd
I have finally got to trying Dora and one thing I have immediately noticed is the strong fluorescent lightning of gauges (can be toned down by a knob). More interesting thing is that the gauges shine green only when they are in the shadow - not if they are on a direct sunlight. This effect is not present in P-51. Is it because of different (real-life) technology behind the gauges, or is it just a thing that was developed recently (in DCS) an therefore will be implemented to P-51 later? 98abaile
I haven't flown the dora yet, but you do realise that the mustang has instrument lighting as well right?
upupandaway
I think the difference is between backlighting of the instruments in the P-51D and fluorescence in the Fw 190D. In the MiG-21 you will also notice that the backlighting of the panels is only visible in the shadow. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Deedle, deedle!
gerd
@abaile: yes, that was my question: you have instrument lighting both in Dora and Mustang, but in Dora it shines only when in dark, while in Mustang it is visible also in direct sunshine. Is that because of different technology (fluorescence vs backlighting) or is it game related (developed for newer modules like Dora/Mi-21 and hopefuly backported to older planes like Mustang). Zabuzard
The Mustang uses fluorescence for gauge lighting. If it does not behave correct I'd say it's because the Mustang-module is pretty old and they didn't implement this feature as correct as in the Dora (dunno the Dora).
